America NEEDS a president who is sensible about women's issues and reproductive issues.

Planned Parenthood isn't an extremist organization but is, in fact, one of the largest providers of healthcare in the country in addition to being a very mainline organization that supports very middle-of-the-road values: women NEED choice, we NEED access to affordable birth control, and we NEED sensible sex ed in our schools to prevent unintended pregnancy and STD's.

It would be nice if america can acknowledge the fact that our children aren't listening to the idea of abstinance... and teach them both options-- abstinance and CONDOMS/Birth control things. If you hand them out at school-- less children will be sick... it's so sad... There's a big difference between supporting "saving a child" and wanting to make abortion rare. I'd like to see abortion rates lessened through higher availability of birth control, more options for women to do with their reproductive health (many are turned away when they want to be sterilized), and sex-education programs that consist of more than, "don't have sex." I don't see how that makes me any less pro-choice.

That's an uplifting, innocent comment, but it's completely wrong. Planned Parenthood has an annual budget of around ONE BILLION DOLLARS! About 1/3 of that comes from federal grants and contracts. And the majority of the money they make from "services" comes from doing abortions. How could anyone believe any business would like to make the act they make so much money from rare? Pro-life groups have no hidden agenda, and won't profit from ending abortion, but PP can't survive without it.

Not everyone fully realizes how difficult it is to carry a child. Yes, every attempt should be made to support a woman during pregnancy. But who are we to say when a mother is or isn't able to have a pregnancy?

Abortion isn't pretty, but if you ban it in good faith, you are saying *in principle* that the government should be able to strap women down for nine months and force them to spawn humans. That's less acceptable to me than ending unsustainable lives before they begin.

Abortions are prevalent because society insists on rigid roles and does't care if you have a child to raise. Support Democrats because their policies will actually reduce abortions rather than force them into back allies.
