Never mind though, 'great' explanations like this create jobs for developers who /understand/ the web, fixing what students who learn from outdated (and sorry, just /wrong/) material messed up. Yay.
i pretty much hate javascript. What i hate it is b/c theres too many ways to do one thing. Its too open/flexible for its own good. And its even worse when working with someone else's javascript. I don't particularly like jquery's programming strategy either, the programmer has to keep track of the long as hell chained objects in on statements....not good for passing around code, that much for sure.
I don't think script is replaced with html and merged, because the javascript is executed as events happen within the browser, also you can see the JS in the 'view source' tab, so it's not being replaced it's passed to the browser. ~@30:00

I am a PhD student at UBC in Telecomunications. Although many of these topics are not associated with my academic program, I view your coverage on these topics on the weekends and I am learning so much from your lectures.
This is a beautiful tutorial...covers an indept working on javascript. Was searching for something like this for quiet sometime.Thank you very much for the upload. its highly appreciated!
A great encyclopaedia entry on javascript, but if you want to learn the language, you'd wanna have lots of time and a big thirst for knowledge to watch this.
You, seriously, are easier for me to understand than most American born US English speakers. Thanks Prof. Sengupta!
