Look how the Jacksons turned out compared to the Debarges...Let me quantify my statement...Many of the Debarge children, starting with Bobby, were on drugs and/or selling drugs and about 3 of them went to prison - Bobby, Chico and El...On the other hand, the Jackson children have, for the most part, remained clear of drugs and none of them have gone to prison...Joe Jackson deserves some of the credit for keeping his kids on the straight and narrow...Mr. Debarge, on the other hand, fled.

Although looked like he was going to blown away, with those oversized clothes he was wearing, The Prince of Sophisticated Soul, proved he was still in 1999 at least, not only a great singer, but showman and sex symbol, par excellance! Note how he played to the ladies with the ad lib "Open Up and Let El in..." This is the version he and Chico produced for the Marvin At 60 Tribute CD and it is a classic version. Never cared for El version with Fourplay. He should have remade "I Want You" instead

Naw, El suits this song perfectly. His voice is very similar to Marvin's, it's almost uncanny. I just can't picture Chico singing this, though his voice is the 3rd best of that clan. In order: Bobby, El, then Chico. Chico has a very different tone from his brothers, who mostly sing in falsetto.
