Awwww, Mitch, Mr. Winehouse, my words may have little meaning but you are a beautiful man and a wonderful father. You did the best you were able and had such enormous, honorable intentions. I am so sorry for the loss of your precious daughter. It is obvious, she adored you and you adored her and worried about her every minute with every ounce of your soul. I hope sometime in your lifetime you find your deserving peace.
what is on the shrink`s neck at 5:25? Aside from that trolling comment, Mitch, you`re a good Dad, I wish you the best. Dealing with addiction is tough, and I`m sure Amy loved you more for it than she was able to show.
In "With These Eyes" a young woman is faced with the wrath of industry when she is about to discover the secret behind Quantum Power, a real, sustainable green energy source.
On her global quest for the truth, the young woman is faced with society's plagues like the flu vaccine, television and chem trails.
Mitch, you are a wonderful Dad, and your daughter adored you, she had the disease of addiction, it is a disease, it is a battle, and you tried so hard to get your child well, but she had one person, who was enabling her, and feeding her drugs, and telling her all the while he was doing it, that he loved her, and that was Blake, all the responsiblity for her death, is on him, and you and her mom, tried to save your child, you did all you could, the world blames Blake for her death.
Gees Louis I mean amy a 21st century jazz singer imagine polite on billie or Dinah..or them traveling planes over world w internet! Plus dads brothers..Russian jews died in 40s maybe she was askenazi jewish in part...they have tendency to die young of hereditary genetic issues..grandma was not so old!
Mitch seems like a Dad who was trying to figure it out, find a route that would help alleviate the problem. Rest In Peace Amy. Wish something could have been figured out. Hate to see people hurting.
I believe that Mitchell Winehouse is a good man, a loving and caring father, and I am so grateful to MsLuisRamirez for posting these bittersweet videos.
Rest in Peace and Love, Amy Darling. I loved you the first moment I saw you.
I understand, Mitch. This came from a good place, you wanted to show Amy in a certain light, and yes, it isn't that different from the paps trying to catch her in another light... but I think most of us understand, some after her death, that Amy is not just a caricature.
So obvious that her parents did all they could. Bottom line to me is that they are good parents and their loss is sad. That was their baby. what the media says about her has little bearing on what her true fans and decent human beings think of her. I'm gonna always think of her as a great talent and nothing less. She was born to make music. She had a sweetness about her that is evident in her performances. Even when the lyrics were hard ,she had a soft way of presenting them.
very very sad.... my thoughts really go to her family and know how difficult addiction is. This must have been an absolute disaster for Amy's family ! May she rest in peace, and may the family find some sort of peace and or comfort in "normality" again.
The bad videos of her shouldn't be taken down, its real, its what happened. Amy is no longer suffering and thats the important thing. It should be shown to show people what happens in addiction! We should learn from it
I'm very thankful that her father Mitch made this beautiful documentary about his daughter. They had a beautiful relationship. Right now, she's watching over all who loved her.
EXACTLY,MEDIA CAUSES A LOT OF THAT CRAP! you have to give ppl a chance, even when she was getting clean it was spread she wasn't by those greedy ass ppl behind a cam!
Amy had problems and it's bad enough with a cam jammed down her throat! They could care less about Amy or her family, just the money? tix me off!
Replacing drugs with alcohol... allowing her t o move back to camden... who the frock was advising these people? Why wasn't she in a secure facility being dried out of all addictive substances? Letting her off to St Lucia to ride ponies????
Hello? Despite all this, with whats happened... the last 60seconds of that were very sad... As for Amy, one day at a time... chilling
@MazMumable I understand your point but it is also true that you can only understand a parent who is going through this, when you are a parent yourself. Parents cannot hold their children or protect them the whole time. I have a brother with an addiction problem, he lives with us. We even thought of drugging him and taking him to a clinic against his will. But If the drug addict does not want to get better there is NOTHING anyone can do and this is a fact.
If Mitch care enough he would have really being there like the lohans and the spear were there for their own children. She was still drinking it don't matter if it small or not all she needed was a good friend rip Amy
amy should have been thankful she had a loving family. i didn't have that. my parents didn't want me. and i know that my story is more common than we like to admit. she had it all along and Threw it away !! what i wouldn't give for a family that loves me !!!!!
So sad that sons and daughters don't see what they are doing to their parents when they get involved with drugs. I think Mr. Winehouse was doing his best, but kids can't be forced to do what's right - they must make that decision themselves.
God bless these parents. Not every kid/young person makes it out alive. But you can NEVER stop trying~TRY EVERYTHING! Interventions~novel or more predictable, whatever works! Their peer group from earlier times that have been able to stay away from drugs altogether~but STEER CLEAR of the other addicts in their lives! They're not good for each other~forget 'evil'- they're just not strong enough not to fall back into the same patterns. They also have to learn to live for something besides themself
I couldn't afford the fancy rehab like Amy got so I had 2 choices...call the police when I knew there were drugs on the premises & have her committed or place her in God's hands & send her to Europe by taking out a student loan. She fell in love w life again in sunny Florence, Italy & found reason to want to live for the future. She also gained weight on great Italian food again. Thankyou God for Italy! Ironically she almost relapsed in rainy England where her house-mum was a pot smoker
situation feels like they have dodged a bullet. The pack your kid runs w starting in junior HS is EVERYTHING! I was a single mom & it was hard to avoid certain inner-city elements tho my daughter was in Ballet almost every day of the week...when she dropped that things went south pretty quick & she dropped out of HS so I sent her to her grandparents~she finally graduated but fell in w an older druggy goth type who was dying of non-hodgkins lymphoma & had all the prescription painkillers as well
This father loved his daughter. He may have been a bit of an indulgent father out of guilt for the divorce & trying to make up for that in his daughter's young life. Children are head-strong & they'll take advantage of their parent's disagreements & play one against the other to get their way~especially after a divorce. Drugs & alcohol took her before she could learn some basic life-lessons of her own-but we can never say for sure from the outside. Every family who comes up & out of a similar
geez and rice even at her daddys bday shes high out of skull. oh yeah in regards to her voice and talent live lets see, oh,um,,,,,,yep,,,,,,uh,,,,carry the 9,,,, oh,,, yeah, that 1,435,389 shite rubbish performances of her voice sounding like strangled cats on meth who smoke carton a day. oh wait, lets see, thats,,,,,,um,,,,,,, well,,,,,,,, yep, that makes 0 not one zero noda nathin nothin none no zero of her sounding good or talented voice she was pure shite glad shes dead she was evil awefull
I, like Mr. Winehouse, have a child w/ a serious addiction. I watched this doc. very closely. This is clearly a man who loved his daughter tremendously. People deal w/ addiction of a loved one differently. I think making this doc. was a sort of therapy for him. Watching your child slowly killing themselves is pure torture. I know EXACTLY what he went thru. I can only hope and pray that my outcome is different. Shalom Mitch and Janis, i pray for you every night . Amy, rest in peace my dear !
I honestly can't believe this entire 'documentary'. A father (who may or may not be partly responsible for the root causes in Amy's self destructive tendencies) pimping out one of the biggest Paparazzi victims himself by contract *and* dragging them along to her place of recovery. I'm speechless. Seems that at a point in that girl's childhood when she needed structure most, he abandoned her. From those vids I get the notion that he let her run wild.
Mitch adored his daughter and was hugely protective of her in his own distinctive way. I will be supporting him when he sets up Amy's Foundation because her music and personality set me on fire. X
Whilst I truly feel for him because he lost his daughter, I can't help but compare how my dad would have coped with a similar situation. He wouldn't have been filming me, almost revelling in the limelight. I think it is clear when you watch this and watch Mitch, where Amy's difficulty in living came from. He is as messed up as she was. An amazing talent who I miss dearly. Rest in peace Amy. Never forgotten xx
No matter how high profile about her addiction battle with drugs and alcoholism, her death is really shocked and sad. Because to be honest I thought Amy will be all right. And she clearly tried her best to clean herself up. I know a lot of alcoholic people in my life and they are depressed people and drank alcohol to ceased their depression problems, and unfortunately it spirals out of control. And alcohol is not easy to quit, it's like a scar that are left on your body, andhard to get rid of it
@SHEISTHEKILLERQUEEN To me that was the saddest part. He just could not see she was fired up. He said you can see she is not drunk, and she wasn't she was f*cked up. But it is cool, but it was a shame he could not see it. I know he must be a broken man now that she is gone. Fathers and daughters have such special relationships.
@SHEISTHEKILLERQUEEN I saw that too. Amy just didn't feel like being bothered. Amy was playing ball with that kid. I wonder who that kid was because it was like "her" kid. She said something to the couple that wanted that photo. He did get angry with her, Some people are all business all the time, they think dollars and cents.
for every parent there at this meeting that care,s about their child they are not the majority. For each seat,s in that room there should be at least 5 empty chairs for the ABSENT PARENTS that washed their hands of their kids when there kids were about 11.Sometimes drug addiction is a symptom of child abuse it is very common. "What is it about Men" Amy Winehouse
It's bricked up in my head, it's shoved under my bed
And I question myself again: what is it 'bout men?
My destructive side has grown a mile wide
And I question myself again: what is it 'bout men?
I'm nurturing, I just wanna do my thing
And I'll take the wrong man as naturally as I sing
And I'll save my tears for uncovering my fears
For behavioural patterns that stick over the years
