James is highly intelligent and quite a knowledge sponge; hence, his answer to the waltz question. Of course, he may have learned that from his time at Juilliard or other arts/theater studies. Just listen to/read his words in a normal venue, though, and his intelligence is obvious. He's a deep thinker.
