Come on people. It was just a joke. This was not the whole presentation. And as I have said before the lesson was about fallacies, not grammar. The rest of the presentation was serious -This was the joke part. I just put it on here to show them how retarded they looked. They were just goofing off. Everyone knows that is not how Oprah acts - That is what made it funny - the skit was done so ghettofide. They were a bunch of freshmen (most were 17 or18) just goofing off. Give them a break.
Nothing was learn here. It taught no bible principles I can see, if it was a grammer lesson then maybe it has some merit, otherwise Why? Oprah doesn't act like that , it a serious subject the church does need to set a standard.
As an Alumni of Gateway College of Evangelism - Wheres the standards it once held? Why does it take "Hollywood" for your English class & not use the scriptures.? What a shame. Using Oprah as an example instead of Noah's wife or the Lady who the people were going to stone to death. Theres more in the Bible than what Hollywood has to offer. The ones who are going into the ministry need to either have more bible studies or prayer meetings or what about campus evangelism..? Oprah?? really..!!
Well it was for English and what we were doing was something on a "current event". It was not a Bible Class. The reason that we did it on the "pregnant man" is because whether we like it or not we are going to have to deal with these issues and deal with fallacies in the church. What do you do if you have a married couple come in your church and you find out that the husband use to be a woman? These are arguments that the church will have to deal with.
We also had to present this in a certain way, so we did it in a form of a spoof. Sorry if it offended you but I hope this explains it a little better.
I forgot about this.. wow. Monica with a beard... scary.
