  • this or the ath-m50 for gaming? that is with the astro mix amp.

  • @Hellraiserzzz You probably wont notice any difference in sound quality, none of them are anything special for gaming, but AD700 would probably be better than both.

  • Superlux seems to be getting good review for the price, could you review some of them? Like the Superlux HD 681 and Superlux HD661...

Also, Monoprice seems to be doing the same with their Monoprice 8323's going for about 20 bucks.

  • @XtremePhysX i'm no audiophile, but i listened to what audiophiles on head-fi.org and akatrent and all the reviews for the audio technica aD700 were positive for gaming. very wide soundstage, crisp highs. i read good things about your 1st choice the akg 702s. i game on consoles so i can't answer questions about soundcards. i do remember reading posts about it when i was researching headphones on head-fi.org and some other site. check the reviews for it on amazon too.

  • @XtremePhysX i think it depends on what kinda games u wanna play if that's what u're buying them for. if its an fps, stay away from bass heavy headphones like beats. i think it's best to search around on head-fi.org. or become a member and ask your question there, u'll get more input from different owners sooner. based off the information i got from this review, as well as head-fi.org and similar sites, i got the ad700 off ebay for 70 bucks

  • This headband is not good. In what possible way is it any better than an adjustable one that disperses pressure across a larger area? Is adjusting the headphone a big annoyance? I enjoy these headphones, but the headband is the WORST part of them.

  • can i use them on my desk top with out amps and should i buy these or ATH-M50

  • how are they compared to the megalodon

  • they seem kind of cheap?

  • @PEping1011 They are some of the best headphones out, they just don't use pictures of skulls or celebrity names (eg. Beats by Dre) to jack up the price.

  • Hmmm. Can't decide between the AD-700, A700 or AD-900, or the A900. akaTRENT HELP ME!!!

  • ath m50 are waaaaaaaay better

  • What would you recommend. these a700 or the ad 700 for gaming.

  • I'm considering ath-a700 like yours or the ath-a900 or even the beyerdynamics dt700

Only I worry that will my kenwood dr 6070 be able to drive them with such high ohms? I use sound blaster xfi music card with linux into that reciever.

If not its back to crappy bose. I bought the triports but the headband broke. thinking of bose ae2 but heard bad shit about em.

Sound quality and build quality/reliability is a major must for me.

Would you suggest the ath-A700 over the A900?

    Thanks in advance.

  • @memorysticky I would say try to listen to both. If you hear a difference go with the 900 if not opt for the cheaper option :) thats what I would do.

  • What would you say is better for music and/or video games, these or the Sennheiser HD555's?

  • u keep talking about in depth review where are they

  • @CRAKIZGOOD Hey! dood! Sorry about that haha! It usually takes me about a month sometimes a bit more to really test things out. I find most reviewers only take about a week to review things and IMO you really don't get to know the product in and out unless you do. But as far as this headset goes. I am currently working on the review expect it up within the next few weeks. The short version is that this is a great set of cans for the price if you're into audiophile sound.

  • @akaTRENT

    i already bought it

but ive seen people say that u need a amp

so u can really hear the sound

i was thinking about the NuForce Icon uDAC-2

  • @CRAKIZGOOD The drivers are really big 53mm so a good amp always helps. But honestly even using an iPod You can really hear tiny details in songs that many other headsets cant produce, and the sound is very balance which is why I sometimes use these as reference for video game headphones.

  • @akaTRENT

    just bought it

    im friggen speechless

im listening to Daft punk and the Get it by your Hands track from eureka seven

and i just ear gazimed im not sure if i ever need an amp

    these things made me weep

last time i felt this way was when i first heard DP

    gona burn them in

  • do they sell replacement earpads for these headphones?

  • Where's the full review?..

  • Which one is better in a showdown, Sennheiser 559 vs the one you just reviewed?

  • review plz

  • Is it just me or does this look almost the exact same as my SteelSeries Siberia V2 pro gaming headset?

  • nice review...cheers

  • AudioPHILE? It would rape your audio

  • What are the Cons of a Open back headphones?

  • @spikecellwarrior1 people around you can hear your music too and the bass isn't as good imo as open back like these cans are.

  • AWESOME review. Nice thick-framed hipster glasses. Happen to own a fixed gear bike too?

  • @squiresuzuki I do!

  • @squiresuzuki Banana Seat :)

  • cant wait to see yar full review on it

  • now i kinda wonder if the 3d wings become a problem when you rest it on your neck?

  • @spikecellwarrior1 not that kind of headphone.

  • @spikecellwarrior1

    nope that's all good.

  • does audio technica even make gaming headphones? when reviewing gaming headphones, don't u want to compare them to other gaming headphones?

  • would you prefer these over sennheiser hd595s?

  • @tukk3 I would

  • What's techscene blog anyway?

  • damn dude, what DON'T you have lol

  • that wing idea is genius

  • Hey, I just got a ps3 and i want to buy a headset but is low on cash.....what is a good headset that is $30 or less......buying the ps3 and a few games left me low on money......if u can help me out...thanx

  • @capz791 If you live near a best buy, for 20 dollars you can get a regular USB Mic from Rocketfish. For the money, it sounds really good.

  • @SillyHatVideos thanx....i actually bought those earlier today after i read the comment....i appreciate it

  • @capz791 Hey no problem man. For 20 bucks, as long as it works its tough to complain, and it works well. If you wanna play online without these crazy gaming headsets, the Rocketfish has served me well. People in MAG said my voice was very clear, and after moving the mic around a bit, and adjusting the PS3 Microphone level, it only picks up my voice, no more noises from the TV like you get with most bluetooth mics.

  • "these things are huge"- thats what she said.

  • I can jump rope with the cord! lawl

  • Here i was getting ready to buy a pair of ATH-ANC7B's.. I'm looking forward to the review of these to base my decision off of.

  • @kyleman1313 these arent noise canceling. Not made for on the go. very large. just an fyi.

  • cool

  • YO! sup.. will post legit comment later

  • @kyleman1313

    lmfao

  • Should I get the DSS with the PX21 for my PS3?

My birthday is this weekend and I need to know what to ask for

  • @OrShrim get the px21 and cash. im not sure baout the dss yet. have to test more!

  • @akaTRENT haha thanks anyway... worst case scenario, I get the DSS for the holidays...

btw will the Astro Mixamp work with any headset (on the PS3)?

  • @akaTRENT is the PX21 btw surround sound...?

  • @dudetube911 not by them selves thats why turtle beach came out with the dss witch then give you surround sound

the dss + px21 are aka the dpx21

  • @mrben809 thanks! but you can kinda hear where the sound is coming from without the dss..?

  • @dudetube911 yes but with the dss it becomes more clear

  • FIRST

  • @SebisHigh nope.

  • FA FA FA FIRST!
