Love the interview, loved the interviewer he was so stoked to meet gg. And how nice of a guy is guy. Just a little nicer than say maynard from Tool who is a total duschebag.
Elbow is a survivor band, I love all the songs of Elbow, they are are one of the best bands of UK (of course with the SFA, Doves and Primal Scream). I hope to see these guys one day...
I started to listen to Elbow just last year. Thanks to internet I have been pleased to know about this band, had no chance to do it by the radio or t.v. because they only play crap. At the beggining I guessed that their last records could be the best but I was amazed when I discovered such jewels like 'Red' or 'Powder blue' from their first record, or the whole COT. wow. such a great band.
Yes yes yes, Guy Garvey = Grace under pressure, a presence, saw the band at the hall for Cornwall and they were indeed Majestic, tears to my eyes, a joy
We should be good at it after EIGHTEEN YEARS!!! Why the hell have they just become famous now! Easily the best band I've heard in the past five years.
"there's too many egotistical wankers in music who don't know what they are playing"
I think theres plenty of people in music who are not like that, but maybe they don't get noticed..... Hopefully Elbow will not go down the same route. At the moment I would certainly agree that they are quite outstanding in terms of attitude as well as music.
Guy Garvey used to live on a street round the corner from me when I lived in Manchester. Met him a few times around... and they recorded Seldom Seen Kid when my band used to rehearse at Blueprint Studios. He is ace. Up the north!
the thing i love about elbow is the fact that every member of the band comes across as a really down to earth, decient human being.
there's too many egotistical wankers in music who don't know what they are playing, and elbow are a bunch of genuinly talented, awesome song writers who are completely bullshit free.
i have worn a frock for jesus!!!!! LOL :D

How modest is this lad. Love you loads.

He certainly doesn't have the arrogance typical of Mancunian musicians such as Morrissey, Ian Brown, Shaun Ryder, Liam and Noel, etc.

Even after making what is easily the album of the year, Guy is still humble and down to earth. What a bloke. Why can't everybody be like him?
