i don´t think so...cause you´re hiting every note played but, aplying this makes relax your hands a little bit (; what becomes in cleaner sound on fast licks.

This technique was improved firstly by gambale and actually i see a lot of guitarists who use it very well...and can be used on pentatonics also Up-Down-Down Up-Down-Down-etc...

anyway, I prefer down/up strokes

cause it sounds different,obviously.

Its called alternate picking buddy. There are a few sweeps and some legato stuff towards the end of the vid.

It technically is sweep picking, but it's using a sweeping motion for economy picking. The way he shows his economy picking on here looks like it's being sweeped, which is probably (I'm guessing...) why he called it 'sweep picking'

Eu ja li que dependendo dos acordes de uma musica, solar sobre um modo soa melhor que outros.

Voce poderia explicar isso junto com as explicacoes dos modos se possivel? Um em videos mais adiante?

Porque eu gostaria de aprender a ouvir uma musica e pensar, "Oh, modo Jonio vai soar bem com essa musica!" E dai comecar a improvisar. =P
