People don't understand how young Texas' team was in 08 Most of their key players were sophomores & freshmen! They didn't think Texas could be strong with young WRs & 2 freshmen safeties in the secondary. People think Texas lost a lot of people, though they were huge contributors, Texas only lost Quan Cosby, Roy Miller, Orakpo, & Chris Ogbannaya. They still have an experienced O line, Colt McCoy, J. Shipley, & is 1 of the deepest at DBs in the country. Texas is young, experienced, & very good!

even though Quan scored the game winning TD, it was the freshmen WRs that put him in position to make that TD. Brandon Collins, Kirkendall, Malcolm Williams, these guys are freshmen and sophomores. People say this and that about Texas, but Texas is some push over, or some punk team that will be pushed around in bowl games like OU. I want Texas to play the USCs, the Floridas, the Ohio States, the LSUs, that way they can shut everybody up like they have been doing. Keep 'em coming!

Bottom line, It's the Big 12's offense (Texas) that came up in the clutch and scored against that Big Ten defense (OSU) to win the game. I hate to rub it in, but OSU's defense was only good enough to tame the Texas' offense, but not for long, because Colt McCoy marched Texas to score the winning TD against one of the nation's top defenses. Say what you want about Texas, one thing you can't deny, is that Texas is really the only team that represents the Big12 the right way in bowl games.

regardless who you are, or what conference you played in, you can be considered the "Best College Football Team" in college football history (USC), and bring your best game, but you better bring more than your that vs. Texas, because Mack Brown has Texas hungry for another Championship, and they will come ready to play. With the 3rd best recruiting this year, easily the top ranked recruiting class next year, and possibly the top the year after, Texas' football will be strong for years!

But there is one conference we do pretty well against. Guess which one (I'll give you a hint...starts with a B and ends with a 2). And it isn't just this year buddy...it's every year UT schedules this kind of out of conference teams (cept when Ohio State was on the schedule).

WTF? "Skin of your teeth"? 05 was the only year that both TX & OSU had strong talent & were both playing at the top of their game. TX won. The year after, TX had a freshman starter (Colt McCoy), starting his 2nd game & OSU put it to the young QB. Last year, after Pryor matured, while also having the help of an experience QB, Texas still won. It don't matter how they won, Texas is 2-1 vs. OSU, and Texas owns OSU with the overall record also. I'm sure Texas is looking forward to meeting up again!
