lol fuck, I couldn't find most of my old VH LP's but, I did find the live bootleg LP from 1979!!! it's on youtube somewhere, but I also have the LP I got in the 80's.
If $ was the only motivation, these wouldn't be here for us to enjoy. Can none of you use an ounce of your brain's capacity to think of anything positive? I'm pumped to get a listen. These tracks are raw, to be sure, but speak volumes for a true fan. Marvelous gems, I'll say!!!!
This is a VERY COOL upload...all of them!! Can't believe there are not more views with all the VH fans out there. Guess they don't know about them...spread the word!!!!
one of the COOLEST VH tunes of all time...album version is better tho...good of Gene Simmons to see VH potential... I can only imagine the horrible deal he made them sign!
@ROOKTABULA I read just fine. Thanks for asking. You say Simmons just saw $ signs. He lead the biggest band in the world at the time. He didn't need the $. What was he going to get, a finders fee? LOL.
Have you ever saw or read interviews with $immon$?!!
He's a money grubbing dooosh bag.
And it's clear you know nothing of how contracts and the recording industry functions.
Just because they were, very arguably (they were a huge concert draw but didn't sell shit till their fake live album), the biggest didn't mean they had actual loot.
I'd bet all my limbs that he had something drawn up that if that demo brought them a deal, he'd get a cut, for MANY years to come.
I think I will have to make my own little compilation CD and start with this song and do the obvious thing and connect the end of "House of Pain" to the beginning of "Running with the devil" and that's my "Van Halen I" from now on! : )
THIS is the definitive version as far as I'm concerned. Official 1984 version has got nothing on it. The fact that it leads into RWTD is the icing on the cake.

@ROOKTABULA not true. Or else he wouldn't of dumped them. He saw some potential but then turned them down.

@ROOKTABULA You don't know much about these demos. Simmons gave VH the demos when he couldn't get them signed. He never made a dime off of them.
