The kids kept saying it over and over in order to provoke him to get angry. The whole story has gone out of proportion due to the media. WILDAT PRIDE

This teacher has an agenda and it doesn't in a school. What this student said to another student(God bless you) is constitutionally protected speech by both the Free Speech Clause and the Free Expression Clause. The teacher's statement may have a place in college history or sociology class, but not in an elementary class with very impressionable students. The punishment is very wrong. I am both an agnostic and a 20 year member of the ACLU but this teacher's actions were very wrong.

If a teacher has a class that spends 10 minutes saying bless you and then watches as the student says thank you to everyone which would take at least a minute our two.

That teacher has no control in the class. NONE WHAT SO EVER!!!!

What if the students got up and started dancing would he allow that for 10 minutes or put a stop to it immediately???
