Cool. I, personally, love it. One of my favorite songs of all time. And, even though I'm a Christian, my list of favorite songs is based purely on the beauty of a song. I find most "praise music" to be terrible. Being a musician, my list of favorites is purely based on musical interest and the poetry of the lyrics. Gotta love "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", too. Not to sound too random. I appreciate the lyrics of "Lake of Fire" (covered by Nirvana), even though it's somewhat at odds with my beliefs

That's the point of God, he's eternal. There are things our human minds can't comprehend and science can't explain. Religion is a proven fraud. We can never get to God by our own works. Jesus came down to us since we could not reach God. Science and God go hand in hand since God created creation. All creation points to a maker. Science (by my definition) is just man's attempt to explain the "why" and "how" of the universe.

Not sure what I believe in, but I do know one thing. When people live longer than they're "supposed" to, we should wonder why the doctors guessed wrong.

There are many respected scientists that believe in God and there are many scientists that don't. People choose what they want to believe based on their own experiences and decisions in life, not because of science. You don't believe in God because you don't want to believe in God, and you use science as the reason behind that motivation. I'm a very happy and fulfilled person in life and that's because of my relationship with God. I'd be miserable if all I relied on was my knowledge.

Maybe if you ask God, he will give you understanding of some of those more important things science can't ever explain, and you can begin to let those things shape your life instead of just thinking with your brain. Trusting only in our brains and in our limited knowledge can be destructive to us as human beings. We've also got a soul and spirit. Don't be afraid to have a little faith in God. You just may find him active in life all around you.

Actually, there are quite a few renowned scientists who were athiests until they began to get involved in higher science and then became believers because they could not immagine a world as orderly and intricate as ours withoutsome power behind it.

well its not really a cop out... because no matter what science can't answer some questions such as what was before the big bang.... things like that are only answered through religion because speaking scientifically, science isn't made to explain everything... and even my physics teacher admits this and he is atheist...

You speak of science as being about absolutes and "true facts". What is fact is that much of science is accepting a framework - an explanation - that works until a better understanding is obtained. For example the wave versus particle theory of the way light behaves. Many of the greatest scientists of the past and many today believe in God. Their belief in God did not stop them from trying to understand the world. Just something to think about.

You happen to put your faith in science, but I put my faith in a God that created the laws of science and also has the power to act outside of those laws whenever he likes. I'm sure you know that gravity is a real fact of our world, but how do you know that the next time you hold a pencil out and let go it will go down and not up.
