Thanks for a great tribute to Gable and Lombard. I'm sure you know this, but if not -- Gable's wife at the time of his death, Kay, had him interred by Lombard in the same mausoleum, as she knew that Lombard was the true love of his life.
Thank you for the lovely comment! Yes, wasn't Kay Gable such a class act to do that?? I admire her and feel bad that she often times gets passed over because everyone remembers Carole better. She was an amazing woman that helped put Clark back together!!
Carole & Clark made a lovely couple; they looked glamorous but i've read they were really down to earth (: so sad how it all had to end... ): I wish it could've lasted longer for them. And I agree with FranklyMyDear28; I think you made a very nice+fitting tribute to C&C!!
They were completely the ideal couple, like you said, glamorous but totally down to earth. I just can't even imagine what Clark felt like after that plane crash...Carole was trully the one for him!!
