  • 我操,你想笑死爷爷啊。

  • @pimpmyipod あなたは祖父とはどういう意味ですか?

  • uhm.. what's the point to use electric motor to charge an electric generator -.- i don't understand

  • use energy (from battery) to create energy? i rather put the hair dryer directly to the fan jaja must energy waste.

  • ЁБЖЕЖТВАЮ МАТЬ!

  • good job bro... like it...!!

  • if the world goes t*ts up, or in future where technology is everywhere, this kind of knowledge will come in handy

  • What a fool.

  • My cat smells like pine forest.

  • Fly fly!!! .... does not fly =( shit!!!

  • What's the point ??

  • cool! :D

  • the motor is screaming stop his suffering

  • Nice!

  • That sounds like hell! Who wants that in there computer?!?

  • @mormorfesab Go learn some grammar.

  • i can do this too i made a beakman motor and a bedini look em up

  • Good job kiddo! I want to see half of these idiots on here get a led lit , let alone getting it to light from a generator, yes people he is using a muffin fan as a generator not a fan. Alot of people dont unterstand how the concept works. for instance my car battery was dead from sitting in the park with my car radio playing, all I had was a cordless drill in my trunk, I wired the cars electric fan to my battery, hooked my drill to the fan and spun it for about 15 minutes and started my car!!!

  • hello video maker, do not listen to all the flamers. they have no life, so they have to talk shit to other people in order not to commit suicide^^

    you did awesome work!

  • most annoying sound ever..

  • lol hack to make it work what a world we live on '':$

  • neat vid i guess.. but only an idiot would think a camera lens could magnify an led enough to blind someone..

  • R.I.P Headphone users :(

  • You forget alot of fucking things dude

  • resistor? thats a diode

  • loud

  • Well you can use the motor to move small objects since its a step motor it will have alot of RPM, but basically no force.

  • But does it bLEND?!

  • you could just simply attach it to the floppy drive PCB circuit to make that LED glows. Floppy drive used to have LED. But hey the motor of the floppy drive is spinning constantly.

  • its not hacking its called bob

  • в чем прикол

  • yes but if it cant produce enough light it can still be magnified by the lens on the camera

  • Stop the presses! You've solved the global energy crises, all we need are a shitload of floppy drives!

  • hack ????? you mean mod

  • I'll gonna be crazy if I live with that noise I think o__O"

  • cool video bro , i loved it, how the hell did you figure out how to run a dam stepp motor like that, bin tryn for years off and on , couldnt figure out how to triger the signal generater

  • Dude seriously need s girl friend

  • Fucking hacker! :D

  • thats the funny thing on scince, it doesnt need to be useful...

  • calm down bill gates!

  • @30GB Use it in a computer. . Not a fan generator you dick :L

  • 1:12, save yourself some time.

  • Now try passing it through OHS.

  • eu ja fis isso no meu pc eu coloquei 2 collers e 1 eu fiz manual dai qnd eu tava usando algum cd tinha 2 collers para resfria o pc ou quando eu quisese

  • Wow dude this is one nice video ! I never thought a floppy drive motor could spin that fast !

  • What does this achieve?

  • @Theultimategooch learning.

  • @30GB Stupidity.

  • @30GB How to? overwhelm virginity with a floppy disc motor? ^^

  • @30GB Good answer!

  • you can masturbate at it

  • WE NEED MORE POWER !!! xD

  • you should see how mutch them leds can take before breaking

  • nice generator

  • *facepalm*

  • Nice !!!

  • This is awesome. Smart kid.

  • Fuck off looser

  • y don't u give the power to the light directly?

  • Don't let these assholes get you down. Its pretty cool what you did. I would have never thought to use a fan like a generator. You keep doing what your doing

  • cool!

  • @robloxer857 if you believe the lcd can blind you you are a retard, an lcd cant produce enough light to even light up a room

  • @30GB fuck you gay

  • @30GB your the retard, a 50" lcd with a white picture on it lights up a room very well

  • @rabidninjaboarNZ um, a computer monitor isn't 50 fucking inches unless your a blind motherfucker to use a screen that big to watch youtube videos, I was referring to a regular 19"-22" lcd you retard.

  • @30GB you realize there are a lot of people who use big screen TV's as their computer monitor... so I wouldn't be calling other people a retard before looking at yourself

  • @bobrock93 A TV is a TV and a computer monitor is a computer monitor. If you put your computer's video on your TV, that's up to you, but that doesn't mean it's a computer monitor. It's a TV. Big difference, for example TVs have crappy response time, crappy colour reproduction and a crappy PPI ratio.

  • @30GB angry pee pee touch?

  • @30GB i have a 24"

  • @30GB Some people also use their TV's to watch Youtube videos as well. Think outside the box a little dude.

  • @30GB pls shut up when ur have no idea, special forces use high powered leds to storm rooms and blend everyone in it!

  • @30GB considering an LCD by itself produces no light at all i find this amusing that someone would even think this :)

  • @30GB i agree with you but i just wanted to say that a lazer cant produce enough light to light a room but it can still blind you

  • @spymasterwade when did we started to talk about lazers? I was talking about LCD screens.

  • @30GB i was saying that your right but just because it dosent light up a room dosent mean it cant blind you

  • @robloxer857 you can't get anything brighter then a white pixel out of the screen

  • @robloxer857 Just when you thought you've see the dumbest people on the Internet....

  • The older HDD rotated at 5500RPM the later ones are 7200RPM,if you could hack out the motor and it's controller you'd have a motor as fast with less mods. The floppy motor runs at 300rpm,all sizes run at that speed. On the board is an optical sensor that reads the rpm of the motor hub,by raising the hub it cannot read the speed,so when turned obn it's designed to ramp up the speed till 300rpm is achieved,in your setup it goes to max as it thinks it hasn't got to 300 rpm yet! It can't be easy ...

  • @silver760 ..to separate the motor controller section from the board as it's integrated. What you have there is the motor control chip, which rapidly switches the coils inside the motor in sequence which causes the magnets inside the hub to repel against the coils making the hub rotate. The chip also has a speed regulator where the optoelectric sensor tells it the speed,it can then regulate the speed to the set rpm.If you could separate an HDD motor with controller it would make a cheap, lightweight

  • @silver760 motor to use in micro indoor aircraft! The brushless motors, controllers and batteries for these can be expensive, plus they are far bulkier than this motor and chip.Might be a nice little earner! A 52x CD drive motor rotates at 10,000rpm,faster still!! There are loads of scrap drives out there, once you have done one the easier it will be.Get the chip number and identify it online to get the pin outs, that way you can completely separate it from the board, making it smaller!! Good luck..

  • @silver760 Last post! Also, the brushless motor on the floppy/cd/Hdd can be made into a powerful generator. They have far more stator coils and stronger magnets.Just find the input, now output wires for each coil and connect them to your load and see what you get by spinning the motor at different speeds, see what the multimeter says it's kicking our. So,there's some more ideas for those wet miserable winter evenings.Just collect some junk drives before hand!! ; ) Find drive schematics online too

  • at first stupid mexican then i saw the whole thing now your a like an inventor godess

  • so, it can hack the pentagon?!

  • Come on guys, it's not an invention, he's just having fun hardware hacking -- this is actually pretty damn cool. It'd be even cooler if you hooked a multimeter up to the output instead of an LED to see what kind of voltage and current you're getting out the other end -- A guy who posts hack-a-week videos did one with stepper motors recently to get A/C power.

  • Hey guys? You want to know why he did this? IT'S CALLED EXPERIMENTING!!! Keep up the good work dude.

  • a little late with the invention

  • bro u make things more complicated than they normally are :S wats the point of this whole experiment when u can conect the LED to the battery OR the fan to the battery in the first place if ur intention was spinnin the fan as well

  • :))

  • Waiting on rubber band to snap

  • С таким успехом можно фен прикрутить, тише не будет! зато и греть может, и холодным воздухом.

  • @fukutube75 welcome to youtube man, if you leave a comment a week ago some lil kid or "troll" will find it in the pile of comments and leave a insult mostly saying "your a dumbass" or "hey retard y u on this channel"......yap thats youtube for ya....

  • A lot of haters here... lol... I hate haters... :P

  • your voice is hella annoying

  • Bravo, I like this!

  • so it takes a 7.2 volt battery to run an led :s

  • GODDAMNIT I CANT HEAR A FUCKING THING i had heaphones on thank you

  • its louder than im fuckin... :S

  • Holy-Terrorist:>*=* A hacker or a cracker?

*=* Im a cracker and is cool in the floppy drive motor!

I speak french and little english.

  • КПД минус 100% если небольше

  • i think that awesome :D steve jobs started off making little things like these, so keep it up you'll go far

  • crap.. -.-, i am in that part of youtube again!

  • Wow, you are a great inventor!!! WOW!!! But why did not you like the LED is connected to the battery? STUPID IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DonKochy i dont know why people like you dont get this, i made the floppy drive motor spin at 10,000rpm so i made a generator to see how powerful this motor is instead of it just spinning at high rpm's doing nothing.

  • @30GB you could use a voltmeter instead.

  • @30GB i still dont see the point in measuring the motors rpm. still a highly stupid and pointless idea

  • @30GB Hey Dummy! The other day I just fucked up my DVD Rom and had to replace it.. If ya want I can mail the old one to you, so you can have a new play thing? Lmao! Its still spins like new.. just the slide-tray and front cover is broken.. Its from a laptop and its Sata powered.. You can handle that right? Lol!

Oh and why you block me like a little bitch?

  • @Godsbestsinner Because your a troll, also I dont really need a dvd drive as I have 3 sitting under my bed in perfect condition. This is a old video back in the day when my interests in hacking electronics was high, but now im not so interested anymore and play with real cars now doing engine/tranny swaps, upgrades, repair and etc.

  • @30GB whats the point?

  • @30GB why don't you get a brush-less motor with a 76,000 rpm aka 7000kv

  • @DonKochy dunno if troll...or just dumb as shit...

  • @DonKochy dunno if troll...or just dumb as shit...

  • Lol @ the teenage hulk rage annotation at the start of the video. OMAAGAAWWWDDZZZ

  • @jigmesam yeah I LOLd so hard too when I saw the nerd rage at the start of the video. It was hard to watch the video while laughing.

  • you could just buy a fan

  • Fuck i love the arguments on you tube..... i feel good that people have such passion for what they believe in.... its wat makes new discoveries an tech... keep it up

but wen it turns into shit about ur mum or faggot stuff etc then thats just silly

    but thats you tube

  • R.I.P. people with headset.

    (afeter 1:13)

  • How did you found which pins to short? I'm trying with another one but the PCB is different.

  • @marcelcorzo i searched up the ic on-line but the input power was difficult to locate because it didnt say on the schematic. I followed the ground from the 5v input then used 3v positive wire powering each different pin till it worked to find the input power.

  • I learned u are idiot with fucking loud

  • all the pep are so stupet what is the problim he do for fun so fuck off

  • idiot!!!!!

  • The most annoying sound in the world generator!

  • Comment removed

  • what voltage is that diode? you don't have any benefits, right?

  • its very bright..HERE LOOK!!!

  • cool stuff

  • people get so worked up in the YouTube comments... just let it be, if you're not interested, don't say anything. It's his hobby, and it actually interests other people. Dang trolls.

  • 30GB, I feel sorry about the negative comments over here. Just ignore them and do your own thing. I like these kinda things you know. Just messing around with some (pretty old) hardware, learn how they work to apply the gathered knowledge and skills to modern things. And by the way: you might want to use a clearer microphone or recording device that doesn't down-sample the audio that much.

    KUTGW ;-) Cheers!

  • 859 persons cannot do that hack :P

  • 638,470 views - this must be a cool hack, or what!

  • And what the fuck is the point in doing this shit? Do you do meth or something?

  • @fukutube75 to learn you idiot

  • @fukutube75 HAVE YOU FUCKING EVEN LOOKED AT MY NEW VIDEOS??, so see what i have been working on past week then you can talk shit also this is my current pc which is bit old but still kicks ass today /watch?v=69ZjG3PN7p8 and for some extra info i work on industrial welders at work, miller, lincoln etc

  • @30GB so yall mad?

  • @30GB Dude you don't have to yell.. calm down little buddy! And no I don't care about your other videos.. No offense.. but I'm getting pretty good attention right here! And I serious doubt that at "21" you're working on Lincoln and Miller welding equipment.. You might just be learning how to weld.. My uncle was a welder.. and it not like learning how to dig a ditch. So I know damn well no non-experienced welder is fixing the needed repairs for them.. Lmao!

  • @fukutube75 i have videos working welders look them up

  • @30GB Oh! OK! Then how come you are not working right now? Ya know its working hours right now? lmao.. You shouldn't steal other peoples videos and claim them as your own.. shame... shame... shame...

  • @fukutube75 Say what ever TROLL i only work 5 hours because im lazy

  • @30GB Now how am I a troll?

  • @fukutube75 also my profile says im 21 but im not im 20

  • @fukutube75 so yall mad?

  • @B2sick Mad? About what?

  • @fukutube75 He's experimenting retard. If you think he's a loser for experimenting with random things, you're retarded. If the world was full of people like you, we'd be stuck in the stone age you scrub.

  • @TheUberSubber Well I am so fucking sorry that I offended you and your little youtube boyfriend..

But however its clearly true that his little experiment doesn't do shit.. Pretty much, what he is doing has been done 50-100 yrs ago.. The Chinese would laugh at him.. And then he's doing the experiment on his mothers carpet at that.. Lmfao!

Tell ya what! Why not the two of you get the cocks out of your mouths, and both of you write me a 4 page essay/book-report on the experiment?

  • @fukutube75 And the people making lightbulbs and shit knew light was going to appear? You are such a dumbass, you need to get your dick out of your ass. You don't know if it's his mothers carpet, so stfu. His little experiment was interesting, and much more productive than any of the shit you've said here. You are in no place to talk, gtfo filthy fuck.

  • @TheUberSubber You need a grammar lesson.. you are borderline illiterate! And to be honest, the head of my dick could almost reach my asshole.. thats called being hung. I also will not shut the fuck up. This is youtube loser and I am free to do as I please... but at least I do it in better taste than you fool.. Your mother is a filthy fuck by the way.. a real trailer park whore.. with crabs and lice hanging from her beard!

Also, Thomas Edison invented the light bulb douche bag.

  • @fukutube75 Love how you tell me I need a grammar lesson: "This is youtube loser and I am free to do as I please... but at least I do it in better taste than you fool.. Your mother is a filthy fuck by the way.. a real trailer park whore.. with crabs and lice hanging from her beard!" You are obviously a retarded fuck sitting on his computer having pleasure in thinking he's smart but you're obviously a fuck up. Get a fucking life loser. I'll be the mature one and stop wasting my time on you.

  • @fukutube75 at least he is learning the basics of electronics. He could be out vandalizing your car. Which do you prefer?

  • @MikeyMike3730 He needs to hit a tech/trade school.. he would probably benefit..

But No ONE wants to vandalize my cars.. I hope not.. because I really don't want to exercise my right to carry and my concealed weapon permit..

  • @fukutube75 You're a glass half empty kinda guy aren't you?

  • @MikeyMike3730 Only when your mother isn't keeping my drinks pored!

Here is your grammar lesson too.. fuck nuts!

"You're a glass half empty kinda guy aren't you?" >>>>>> how fucking stupid!

You're a glass half empty kinda guy... aren't you?

See how fucking simple that was? Now who's fucking glass is half empty?!

  • @fukutube75 Wow, your comment is nowhere near being comprehensible.

I think that guy did actually do a good job, those motors are normally damn slow, yet he managed to make it spin an awful lot faster with just some modifications to the circuit. It might not seem useful to you as it is right now, but I guess he intended it as a proof of concept. If you want something more useful, probably build that yourself and hook up a ventilator to it or anything you want really... and chill out.

  • @QuantumFluxable "comprehensible" Really? Unlike your typing and grammar skills? I know how slow those motors are.. I build everything under the sun when it come to computers.. I just don't play moronic games.. and if I did I wouldn't let the world know how boring my life is.. I also hadn't had a Floppy drive in my life since 2002... I mean those are as old as Christ.. And this shit he is doing has been done time and time again.. He's almost

  • @QuantumFluxable replaying the 80's when kids use to do similar shit with old Tyco Race Car sets.. and I really don't give a fuck if this guy is the next Ben Franklin and makes a million or nothing... I really can't believe how some of you have no fucking life.. I left a comment like a week or more ago and you all are just so drawn to it.. Get a fucking life and get on... I don't care about POORHOUSE experiments..

  • remove the fan blades to reduce drag and put a volt meter where you have the led...just curious about how many volts its putting out. If its lower than 7.4v, try putting a bigger pulley on the motor somehow.

  • @AlphaSun74 i know that but i want the blades there to increase load

  • @30GB Cool...keep doing your thing. Maybe you will stumble on to something one day...dont worry about the jerks you encounter along the way.

  • him: so it very bright *aims at camera*

    me: idiot...

  • @fess1996 your lcd/ctr cannot produce brightness thats even close to a light bulb you idiot

  • @30GB Yeah but it's still bright you know.

  • Ehm, thats little bit primitive, if you connect 7v2 battery to floppy disk PCB where is written 5V and GND :D.... And then with rubberband to fan... and fan acts as a generator... It will produce power to LED... If you do that it will make from 7v2 bigger voltage than youre good, now youre only priceless gay...

  • @Yeayer555 The motor STOCK runs 33rpm at 5v OR 7v but when i modified the motor, it ran same rpm on 5v but at 7v same speed but it has more torque thats all, you go try it yourself and see instead of talking bull shit, you fucker.

  • y not just use the battery to power the l.e.d ?

  • You fail at hacking my dear friend.
