let me tell u something. Nepali never had interest to save British Empire. Once Nepal was attacked by British and Nepal had to sign a treaty according to which Nepal had to send young boys for British army recruiments. Although it was not desirable, recruitment in British army became a medium for showing bravery around the world for the Nepali so our forefathers enjoyed fighting for British.
The fact is that British rewarded Nepal after the war of independence (Mutiny)of 1857 was won, by giving then large tracks of land belonging to Nawabs of Ouadh. The current district in Nepal call Nepal Ganj was one of the reward. I was born not far from there in India and massacre by British in Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad is vivid in our memory. The 'heroic' Gurkhas made it possible.
I m sorry to know about the massacre and as a neighbouring friend of India, we also equally feel very bad about what had happened bad to India during British regime in India. British regime in India also was also unfavourable for us. After the Anglo Nepal war (1814-1817) Nepal had to lose it's 2/3 part of territories. Yes, I do agree, Gurkhas help succeed many massacres in India but they were all done to save the treaty as I mentioned in my previous comment.

On the contrary I believe if an empire trains assasins and murderers it should force them to settle there, rather than let them stir trouble in other countries. let me tell u something. Nepali never had interest to save British Empire. Once Nepal was attacked by British and Nepal had to sign a treaty according to which Nepal had to send young boys for British army recruiments. Although it was not desirable, recruitment in British army became a medium for showing bravery around the world for the Nepali so our forefathers enjoyed fighting for British.

The fact is that British rewarded Nepal after the war of independence (Mutiny)of 1857 was won, by giving then large tracks of land belonging to Nawabs of Ouadh. The current district in Nepal call Nepal Ganj was one of the reward. I was born not far from there in India and massacre by British in Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad is vivid in our memory. The 'heroic' Gurkhas made it possible.

I m sorry to know about the massacre and as a neighbouring friend of India, we also equally feel very bad about what had happened bad to India during British regime in India. British regime in India also was also unfavourable for us. After the Anglo Nepal war (1814-1817) Nepal had to lose it's 2/3 part of territories. Yes, I do agree, Gurkhas help succeed many massacres in India but they were all done to save the treaty as I mentioned in my previous comment.
