  • What a crock of shyt you guys are.

  • Sweet vid! Thanks! Love the sirens in the background!

  • @NJCbros

It's called an "Out of the Front" switchblade. Any knife shop will carry them as it's legal to collect them.

I have a little OTF switchblade that is a lighter, too. I recommend it. Hahs

  • PLEASE REPLY!!! WHAT IS THE FIRST ONE CALLED, WHEN THE BLADE SHOOTS OUT OF KNIFE AND WHERE COULD I GET ONE?????

  • @NJCbros It is a Lightning model and it is listed at AssistedKnife

  • @NJCbros dude those r illeagal

  • @krakkid445 Learn how to spell for one thing and no they are not illegal

  • Where can i get a knife similar to the last one. I love those but have no idea where to buy them, or any switchblade for that matter

  • @theyellowchief at AssistedKnife

  • I got the last one at a flea market today xD

  • Hail to America!!! Can't wait to get the fuck outta Canada just to ditch our pussy-ass laws... South Carolina all-the-way!!!

  • @DanielDiDomenico89 Fuck yeah buddy, im an NC mountain man myself.

  • The last one is the coolest

  • first one is the best

  • That last onw was dope

  • i go to a getto shcool and i notist that every 1s got a switchblade but me.......

  • The audio in the video is way to high.

  • What's the name of the knife you first opened?

  • i wish i had the one on the very left!!

  • You seem quite stoned while making this clip :)

  • @Roadsideimports Hi, can I please get the brand or model of the FIRST and LAST switch blades you displayed in this video? I'm looking to buy one like those two for my sister for Christmas. A question for the first one you showed: If I was to penetrate a watermelon with it (straight on), will the blade go back into the handle, or stay put (out) like a normal kitchen knife?

  • @vyxtouch You have been watching too much crap on TV and in the movies. Hollywood is not reality and someone needs to tell you this. There is and never has been any such a knife that opens into a watermelon and then retracts again, it has never existed on planet Earth, it might on Mars. The only knife that projects is a Russian pilum knife, that is it and it is reloaded manually. The knives are on the website for sale that I currently have in stock. The first knife is the Lightning

  • @Roadsideimports Cheers for the reply, but a simple sentence would have sufficed.

  • @Roadsideimports He's wondering if the locking mechanism on the knife is sufficient to withstand shoving the knife into a watermelon, not if the knife will open into a watermelon.

  • @Diamondbacknf26 Ah, totally different yeah they have good lock up, they are not Microtech models but they do lock up and hold in place. There is a video online when they hammer them through plywood for all the OTF models.

  • @Roadsideimports Very cool. Thanks for the response.

  • switch blades illegal in michigan

  • @CodZoMbiesFanaTic452 NO RESTRICTED, big difference, LEGAL FOR ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT, MILITARY AND PERSONS WITH THE USE OF ONE ARM. THESE ARE ALL QUALIFIED PERSONS LEGAL TO CARRY. All others simply can not carry in public.

  • @Roadsideimports so if you may not have one in public, how would you buy it from a store and drive home with it...what a contradiction that is

  • @SGTBrian1 No that just is a stupid thought process. It is also illegal to carry kitchen utility knives, butcher knives and swords so I guess you can't buy them either with your notions. It would be in a bag and not on your person.

  • @SGTBrian1 I KNOW IF ITS A CONCEALED WEAPON THEN HOW DO I GET IT HOME FROM THE MALL LEGALLY!? i just keep it my pocket and leave but that's not legal technically right?

  • yo, your kool. legit, i luv your collection!

  • This is one dude I would never fuck with.

  • witch is the 1 with the flipper

  • @33kiljoy The last one is the Xcaliber model

  • Switchblades illegal in Canada.. Lame.

  • @rudewolf89 only a crime if you get caught

  • what is the black knife with the two types of opening called and how much is it? please answer

  • @ALEX19066 The Colt M-16-K

  • The last one is my favorite

  • personaly i think restriction on switchblades is plane redicules, i see no point in it

  • that last knife scares the hell outta me.

  • good helpful video, i was havin trouble seein the difference now its clear:D

  • Thanks very much, i was wondering what the difference was, and you answered it perfectly

  • I just got a switchblade. I press a button and it flips up. Im told never to bring it into public because its illegal. Why is it illegal and a switchblade with a lever to flip it open isint?

  • @PoopyAnis They are not illegal they are restricted. Restrictions also depend on where you live, just like blade length, double edges, and many other things that are city, county and state laws.

  • Did anyone else see the hat?

    SCOTLAND...FUCK YEAH!

  • I was just wondering do you ever have a problem when a spring assisted knife is in your pocket and it opening? thanks.

  • @airsoftman6481 Depends on the model and what pocket it is carried in.

  • @Roadsideimports what about a Tactical Rescue 3 Tanto Spring Assist Knife in a jean pocket?

  • @airsoftman6481 Tip down carry and placed in the right pocket it can not open, it would open towards the seam of the pants it is in so it is not ever going to open. You must pay attention to tip up or tip down carry and pay attention to what pocket it is held in.

  • @Roadsideimports ok. thanks so much.

  • @airsoftman6481 some models have a stiff lock on the handle so it doesnt do that

  • I want the first knife he showed

  • @29065019555903 It is for sale it is the Lightning

  • @29065019555903 Its a piece of shit OTF get a microtech OTF

  • Who makes the dual action wood handle one? (the 4th one) & where can I purchase one?

  • where can i buy one cheap like the one all the way on the left

  • @mrbigtesties at the online store at AssistedKnife

  • then which one is the smith and wesson m&p knife. is it illegal for civilians to carry since it has a lever/trigger where a flipper would usually go?

  • @mercurialman100 The M&P models are Assisted Opening models, some local laws prohibit assisted knives so checking with local city and county laws are suggested first and foremost.

  • where u get the first one?

  • Who makes the first one

  • @TheSecuritysix Lightning OTF model there are two versions one is Chinese and one Taiwan, the one in the video is Taiwan.

  • One is legal to carry the other is not.if you live in a left wing take away your rights liberal state none is legal to carry

  • @Ricovali Yup, the liberals don't allow pencils either they are dangerous, they only allow crayons now. The best place is in a padded cell with a straight jacket this way you can't hurt yourself or anyone else. The padded cell is the liberals idea of heaven on Earth. Then don't forget sedation with narcotics these are much better than naturally grown things, and remember not to eat the crayons man you shit colors for weeks.

  • when the music start playing i thought he was about to start rappin

  • I use to have a switch blade comb. It was cool

  • wat knife is the last ?

  • @Flofy387 Xcaliber it is an spring assisted opening knife

  • @Roadsideimports Thank you ! :D

  • I prefer spring assisted.

  • @RiptN3rd Why? switchblades go straight into the person a lot quicker the spring assisted

  • @DasAffeistBlau No actually bullets do so lets get that straight. Quit watching the stupid movies of Hollywood they make people go full retard and then once you do that there is no turning back. The truth is there are many spring assisted models that actually are just as fast in opening, I actually think speed on them is about the same. The quickest knife is a fixed blade, that is why kitchen knives and machetes are the preferred knives for crimes something people don't like to talk about.

  • I just bought one exactly like the last one on the left. Thank you for clearly and succintly explaining the difference between "spring assisted" knives and "switchblade" knives.

  • What Is The Third One Named?

  • TY I might buy one !

  • What are the first and last ones called cos I really want one

  • @jd16596 The OTF is the Lightning model and the last spring assisted opening model is the Xcaliber

  • So is a spring assisted still illegal

  • @timrocks7 In the US, there are no federal laws that make them illegal, don't know of any state laws as of yet, and there are some city and county laws that do restrict them in some places.

  • @Roadsideimports In the US Switchblades and Spring Assited Blades are illegal on Federal land and Indian reservations.

  • @Roadsideimports And also only the first knife was Spring Asissted.

  • @kingrex1002 Keep smoking crack. The first knife is a full automatic switchblade flick knife that is out the front known as OTF or an Angel Blade and a few others. Starting at the Colt Rockloc which is red to the last one Xcaliber those are the only spring assisted opening knives all the others are switchblades. So don't listen to @kingrex1002 he's been using a tea spoon and banking soda again.

  • @Roadsideimports A Spring Assisted Knife comes straight out of the handle, and a Switch Blade swings out from the bottom of the knife.

  • @kingrex1002 Nope, you're still smoking crack. All your terms are wrong. A spring assisted opening knife.

Spring Assist Knives open easily with one hand, yet by legal definition it is not classified as a switchblade.

Assisted Spring/Torsion Opening Knives are not legally classified as switchblade knives, by law or definition.

Spring Assisted Pocket Knives Are A Great Alternative Automatic to Switchblade Knives.

  • Amendment (1447) to the FY 2010 Homeland Security Appropriations Bill H.R. 2892 was passed by the House of Representatives & approved by the U.S. Senate on October 20th, 2009

This Modified the 50-year Old Federal Switchblade Act Modernized to Protect Americans with Knives.

This Added a Fifth Clause to Define Assisted Opening Knives as 100% Legal

  • Section 1244. Exceptions

    (5) a knife that contains a spring, detent, or other mechanism designed to create a bias toward closure of the blade and that requires exertion applied to the blade by hand, wrist, or arm to overcome the bias toward closure to assist in opening the knife.

  • Section 1241. Definitions

    (b) The term ’’switchblade knife’’ means any knife having a blade which opens automatically -

    (1) by hand pressure applied to a button or other device in the handle of the knife, or

    (2) by operation of inertia, gravity, or both.

  • @Roadsideimports go back to shoving those knives up your ass little queer.

  • @kingrex1002 The facts hurt when you are wrong, what makes someone stupid is when they don't learn from the facts. So sadly your are a moron and quite a stupid person. Hopefully you grow up and get out of those diapers.

  • nice knives were the second third and fourth autos or spring assist because ppl tell me those r spring assist

  • @Themwf2bros Anything with a button release or scale release on the handle is an automatic. Spring Assisted models have no trigger devices in the handle.

  • I hear someone getting beat up in the backround

  • all knives are legal on the united state do to the following rights of the constitution all citzens have the right to bear arms

  • ALSO in certain states spring assisted knives ARE legal( like Colorado ) and up to certain blade lengths even legal as concealed weapons without a permit(cool huh?)

  • MOST of your information was correct however for future reference the first knife was a stiletto not a switchblade the distinction being stilettos eject from the front and switchblades (as explained by the name) "switch" or come out the side also switchblades do not have spring or mechanical assisted closing like stilettos do just FYI my young padawan

  • I can imagine some idiot hold the side the blade comes out and presses the button

  • Why are you telling us the difference? You said "A Spring Assist Knife vs. An Automatic Switchblade" I thought two people were gonna fight with each one!

  • i have like 10 swiches in my room, i use them for rumbles.

  • @italianrepsta its called a otf knife or stileto

  • the first was was the fucking sickest what is that called?

  • hey wat knife was the third one you showed, i really want that knife!

  • @13Drumism The G-Factor it is listed for sale at AssistedKnife

  • @Roadsideimports What was the red knife?

  • @itachi9374 Colt Firefighter Roclock

  • I live in the state of Victoria in Australia. You think knife laws are crazy in some states of the US? B'wah-ha-ha! When I was 15 it was legal to carry a knife with a blade under 6 inches, and yuo could buy Samurai swords, nunchukus, sai, kama and manriki-kusama with no licence. Nowadays you have to have a Special Permit to own anything except a knife, and you can't carry ANY knife. At all. For any reason, unless you're a surgeon and you have your scalpels safely locked in a case.

  • Comment removed

  • @trollsarevirgins Time to overthrow the government.

  • @trollsarevirgins plastic food knives ftw!

  • your last stilleto is a weiner version of mine :D

  • I recently bought a switchblade, the thing is the release is on the opening of the blade. Idk how to use this one and it's kinda weird from the rest, it has no button.

  • damn... how do i say this?...

    AMERICA FUCK YEAH!

  • am i the only one that flicks my switchblades so they open? i find it way easyer

  • Is the OTF legal in west virginia?

  • @Horseshowchamp Depends on the situation, are you carrying it, laws that restrict are typically about carrying an item in public and they are not illegal but restricted to authorized persons.

  • well these are basically all illegal lol so u cant find these in stores

  • @darkeyes201 That is complete and utter bullshit. Glad to see people still like to talk out their ass before they know the facts. State, county and city laws are all different all around the US, some have liberal sissies that call the shots and have retarded laws but others have gone to gain Constitutional rights and NH threw out all their knife laws. So next time perhaps you will research things before posting bullshit.

  • @Roadsideimports Well I did research all this stuff after I watched this video. I get where your coming from even if maybe you are coming on a little strong. I do agree this is a very stupid law, I live in Indiana so most of the officers take this law very seriously. So I owe you an apology. Im also the owner of an 8 inch side-opening myself :).

  • @darkeyes201 Very well, getting educated on things is the best thing you can do and actually doing it makes you one of the smartest guys out there because most won't even do that. You are an exception most people are too lazy, I am glad to see you are not that is truly cool. I agree most of the laws are old, outdated, and very stupid. Alot of them violate 2nd Amendment rights so are invalid but will take someone to press the matter to overrule them, some states have thrown them out like NH.

  • @Roadsideimports I am sad to admit that I am a Democrat, but I agree with everybody like you that is against gun and knife laws. I believe that there should be no law regarding the sale or ownership of any sort of item that could be construed as a weapon, unless you have had some sort of felony arrest.

  • @YamahaBoyTTR230 That is fine, Churchill said you are a Democrat when you are young because you have no heart and you are a Republican when you are old because if you are not you have no brain. You must still be young. You know I am just joking around. Yes, the second amendment should be upheld by both side regardless of political view.

  • @Roadsideimports I'm 16, so you guessed it right. Thank you for being understanding, but I am fairly mature and have gone through a lot in my life that I have learned from, such as my sister getting pregnant in her junior year of high school, and my dad being an alcoholic for my entire life (he's trying to stop finally). Have fun with those knives!

  • @roadsideimports i apoligize on my lil dumbass brothers expense for an earlier comment. Nice knives, i have started a collection of my own recently. Could you direct me to a good cheap brand of stilettos, i need one to complete the collection of switchblades. thanks.

  • what was the first knife?

  • @1291m16 The Lightning model.

  • @Roadsideimports whats the last spring asst.?

  • do not get in a fight with this guy unless bruce lee and jackine chan and chuck norris is with you

  • @moneyishappiness

What was the first one (the one with the actual switch) OTF?

  • @urbloodygutsonmytux its a otf lightning its a microtech CLONE from CHINA

  • @jerstolp1 Nope your wrong, it is from Taiwan and the better clone than the China made one. Typically the China models had a black trigger while the Taiwan models all have silver triggers. You have to watch out for copies of copies.

  • dual actions suck... they open up too much in my pocket

  • @metabolife Not the new one from Matt Diskin the Amsterdam, it has a safety lock on it that disables the scale release, best model out there now.

  • @Roadsideimports o.. thank you

  • what is the red knife called?

  • @mwhboarder5 Colt Rockloc Firefighter Edition, they are no longer made, but I have 2 left in stock still.

  • @moneyishappiness Xcaliber

  • Switch/automatic and ballistic knives are illegal in the US

  • @BatteryBlaster NO THEY ARE NOT THEY ARE RESTRICTED IN SOME STATES GET THE FACTS AND DON'T POST STUPID COMMENTS THAT ARE INCORRECT GO EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU SPOUT OUT USELESS BULLSHIT.

  • @Roadsideimports lolk.

  • @Roadsideimports I'm not the one spewing out useless bullshit here. I made a simple comment, and you posted AN ANGRY REPLY IN ALL CAPS CAUSE YOU'RE FULL OF ANGST AAAAAGGRAAHH. calm down bro.

    Switchblade act of 1958.

    educate yourself. Umad bro?

  • @BatteryBlaster ALL CAPS IS TO STOP RETARDED BEHAVIOR. Angry has nothing to do with it, a real moron said all caps was yelling. ALL CAPS MAKES IT EASY TO READ.

LAW ENFORCEMENT AND MILITARY AND ONE ARMED PERSONS AND ANYONE WHO PROCURES FOR THE THREE ARE EXEMPT THEREFORE ILLEGAL IS AN INVALID STATEMENT RESTRICTED FOR INTERSTATE COMMERCE.

STATE LAWS GOVERN STATES FEDS ONLY REGULATE INTERSTATE COMMERCE

    EDUCATE YOURSELF.

THERE ARE OVER HALF THE US STATES WHERE THEY ARE LEGAL.

  • @Roadsideimports Illegal is a valid statement. It is illegal unless you are one of the exempt people

also I think it's pretty easy to read in all caps. Maybe hard for you, but whatever

  • @BatteryBlaster WRONG ILLEGAL MEANS ILLEGAL PERIOD FOR EVERYONE NO EXCEPTIONS, IT IS ILLEGAL TO RAPE SOMEONE IT IS UNCONDITIONAL NO EXCUSES NO EXCEPTIONS NO WAY AROUND IT.

RESTRICTED IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT & DOES NOT MEAN THE SAME THING.

PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE THE PROBLEM AND ARE THE ROOT OF THE ISSUES FOR MISINFORMATION AND IGNORANCE AND YOU NEED TO BE CALLED OUT TO PUT AN END TO THE IGNORANCE AND THE MISINFORMATION THAT YOU SPREAD AROUND.

YES ALL CAPS IS QUITE EASY FOR OTHERS TO READ CLEARLY

  • @Roadsideimports What are the regulations in Idaho?

  • @DuykRuyk Legal - State Code: 18-3302

Switchblade are Legal Allowed in Idaho but are Illegal if intoxicated or exhibit any deadly or dangerous weapon in a rude, angry or threatening manner - State Code: 18-3302

  • @Roadsideimports Do I need a concealed weapon license permit?

  • @DuykRuyk Don't know you have to remember that city and county laws can be harsher than the state law and local laws take precedence. So you should call your local police and ask about all the applicable knife laws to you where you are. They might be wrong but you will know what they enforce.

  • Song name please?

  • i am interested in buying one of the knives from the website but what is more safe for carying around the spring assist or the one with the trigger on the back?

  • @realsk8er22 Depends on your carrying mode. It varies on if you are left handed or right handed and if the knife is tip up or tip down carry.

  • What is the name of this last knife ?

  • @guitarsolosbyjoey Xcaliber it is an assisted opening knife, I have many different models of them listed for sale at AssistedKnife

  • Hey I was wondering wut was the name if the last knife??

  • What is the name of the first dual action automatic knife?

  • The first has the potential to be a hidden blade, no rlly XD nice vid btw

  • @moneyishappiness AssistedKnife I still have the red one, got a few left, they are the Colt Rockloc firefitghter model.

  • wats the name of the fifth knife please give me thumbs up so he can see

  • @dummycakes100 The camo model?

  • Wait, I thought these types of knives were illegal, well at least in some states. Do you know which states they are legal in? 'Cause I want one!

  • @Radomid laws are listed at AssistedKnife

  • @Radomid Go to Wikipedia and search switchblade. There a person can find the list of the states with their rulings and definitions on possession and carrying a switch blade. Also on the webpage, there is history of the switchblade and laws from other countries. Hope that helps!

  • I hate how a knife is illegal based on whether how fast it opens. Just because the knife open faster doesn't make it more dangerous.

  • the knives are on a table with an American flag, yet he has a hat that says "Scotland" right on top of it....

  • @ALxKAPWND What is your point? That is a statement not a question.

  • @Roadsideimports That was not meant to be a question, but a statement as you said.

  • @ALxKAPWND Wow then you have good vision and can see. Seeing that I am both American and Scottish it makes perfect sense to me, this way my videos are pretty easy to spot.

  • U guys should all get off Ur lazy asses and search it on the fucking Internet

  • how much did ur OTF cost

  • @BuyASkateboard The Lightning model is like $35

  • wats the name of the pink and black knife?
