  • "Ive been beating on it pretty hard" - gross man, c'mon kids use YouTube!

  • can't do the water trick with the M9 :D

  • oh man, this video is so full of it, pure marketing.

  • Interesting that there's no mention of how he reviewed the M8 while in Iraq and basically called it a total POS.

Guess the M9 is superior and/or he was paid well for this video.

  • it really looks wonderful !! fuck nikons and canons !!

  • i would love one of these , stevehuffphoto and iloverangefinders have competitions to win one , not that ill ever win one or buy one , $7000 dollars is nuts though , if i dont eat or pay rent for a year i could buy one with no lenses

but there is something about the look of a rangefinder image , it looks different to an slr pic ? and lets face it , even the people who come on here to leave shitty comments , secretly want one

  • come on guys, its obvious there are a brunch of idiots being jealous of the leica users. Just ignore them, every person has their own value.

  • @nezz752000 What? How did you come to that conclusion?

  • what a dickhead

  • It got soaked... my ass. Who in their right mind would let close to 7 thousand dollars worth of equipment get soaked?

  • @trunitemare

to professional photographers who are backed by companies like the New York Times,

$7,000 is not a terribly large amount of money

  • @homemadealcoholstove You're right, but his statement that water got in all the way down to the bottom plate... well, that's pure BS.

  • @homemadealcoholstove

Not to mention for the Canon or Nikon set, thats normal money for the top end full frame SLRs. Only Sony sells full frames 'cheap'. With Leica you gain mobility and lose AF, for me and others its well worth it. Leica glass too steep? There is a plethora of cheap (even by Canon and Nikon standards) 3rd party glass that is up to the build and optical quality that Leica is known for and the compactness it once had.

  • @trunitemare Umm, if it's your job and you've got to get the shot... gear is fully insured anyways. Have you seen the state of some of the cameras pro's use?

  • @Renzsu I guess I haven't.

  • who can verify that his story about water getting inside your M9 and still works?

  • Please not so much with the colour grading, trying to look like film when you're shooting with video can get ugly and it did there

  • how it kept working if is not weather sealed?

  • @marcomarcucci

you know the Germans always make good stuff

  • @marcomarcucci I think we'd all be surprised about how well non weather sealed cameras can stand up to the wet. Look at digitalrev's "durability test" (they pour hot water on two non weather sealed dslrs and they were fine). I'm not saying weather sealing is total bs, but it's not as important as people and all the marketing hype make it out to be. And there are plenty of stories about M8s and M9s being used in the rain, google is your friend

  • it was just the ending of his "story tale..." no go for a M9.... cheers ! ! !

  • @marcomarcucci

    German Engineering

  • @marcomarcucci because it isn't weather sealed, that doesnt mean it's made of sugar.

  • love leica's.

  • woohoo! nice endorsement~ :P
