  • I am 10 and I'm currently learning this piece :)- You did a good job!

  • great technique, interpretation and musicality! awesome job

  • Wow. I am impressed. Including the kadenza by memory. Very well done!!!

  • ahh you lucky kid :P i didnt start till right about your age

  • wow.... I'm playing this piece now and I've had trouble finding just the right balance between elegant and light. This kid has it. His has excellent posture and feeling usually devoid in 10 year olds. I'm 13 and still struggling with the cadenza. It appears he was using the same score as me. Keep it up!

  • wow! how long has he been playing

  • I am violinist, and I only can tell you: oléééé

  • wow man im almost 10 years older than this kid and i cant play this piece as good lol man

  • Nice interpretation, it's always interesting to see how different performers play this piece. I'm working on it currently and trying to write a cadenza and I think the one you used has given me some ideas. Excellent playing, keep it up.

  • I am playing this song -I am as old as he is . But he is pretty good at it!

  • my girlfriend is 2 decades older, but I have to say this kid rocks! incredible how he is able to give not only a good technical but furthermore musical interpretation...

  • This kid totally PWNs...... You go Sebastian!

  • wow... i have to say, it's rather depressing at almost a decade older than him, and learning that piece, cannot play it nearly as well!

  • agreed on all sentiments. this makes me feel really inadequate. haha

  • bravo!

  • if they gave him an adult sized head i would say that he is 21 at least. his wrist is so thin.

  • 10 years old wow great!

  • Awesome!

  • increadible!! BRAVO

  • amazing... playing with so much emotion at such a young age. I have recently recieved this piece to work on and so far i can not produce the tome quality to much yours =) 10 years old! i am 15 and doing poorly at this. BRAVO SEBASTIAN! wonderful job. i'll cheer for you in the future as well.

  • Lol, you should see his other video of him playing this exact piece. Both interpretations are amazing! Go Sebastian!

  • Absolutely beautiful!

You play with such incredible maturity and a gorgeous tone! Great job!

  • wow

  • oh wow I forgot to add along with the style. The spicatto is flawless, thats something I really struggle with, cleaning up my spicato. Bravo!

  • Wow. His style is so great. I'm playing this song for an audition I have of mine soon. I admit sheepishly that I've been neglecting it for a while and now I'm near dead. Sebastian plays everything so nicely and cleanly. Each note is crisp and sounds perfect.

  • i played this on a full size violin, and i totally recommend learning it. it's really fun - the cadenza is totally fun to play too :) great job!

  • This is amazing. I can't even begin to say how beautifully you played it. When you're older, you're going to be beyond amazing.

  • He already is;) You will rarely find a young person who can play with this much emotion. Sebastian is one of the rare few. So is his brother. What kind of violin do you use? and what size now??? Oh yeah, this will forever remain my fave PIECE..... Every video of yours is beyond amazing, but this particular piece will always be my favorite, and for you to play it so beautifully just makes me love it even more:) Beautiful job!

  • Played more musically than I have heard! You are an inspiration for my students to learn to play well, but moreso to FEEL the music. Your sound on a 1/2 size violin is truly an accomplishment!

  • good job.... whats with the excessive spaccato, it makes it sound rough in parts where its really beautiful.... the cadenza started off and ended rough but the middle part with the doudble stops was really good..... you did good kid

  • But still impressive... I learned this piece because of sebastian. He plays with the elegance and fluidity of someone who has been playing for decades. Wow! Beautiful job

  • omg... you are amazing. I am 12 and learning it.... using your playing as a guide..just fantastic

  • im 12 and learning it 2!!!!

  • this is awesome

  • what size violin are you using in this vid?

  • For this performance I'm using a half-size violin.

  • Ah. Wow, for using a half size violin, you produce a wonderful sound. Bravissimo, Sebastian!

  • woah, i wasnt expecting that tone out of him when i first saw this. very talented

  • Amazing - flawless technique except for maybye elbow too high - outstanding playing!

Brawo kolego! Napewno wyrośniesz na mistrza (już nim jesteś);)

  • For those of you who don't speak Polish, maksasia's above comment says:

Frankly, I don't know what to say.

I'm 13, I've been learning for 7 years and been through a lot,

especially in my new school. When I see younger people playing the same

things as I do and 100 times as well, I'm just lost for words. I'm in

    awe of those children.

Bravo my friend. You'll certainly grow up to be a maestro (you already

    are);)

  • OMG o_o i love your vibrato.. and i know u'll b soooooo good when ur oldr\!!! good job

  • Hey Sebastian,

Dude, you're amazing! 6 years of learning pays off.

    Kyle

  • Impeccable vibrato. Wow!

  • wow. Nice expression, good phrasing! Work on some of those double stop issues. This one is much much better than the corelli. Keep up the good work! I'm rooting for you

  • -stares- Wow. This is just ridiculous. Did you start playing at age two? You're... wow.

    Exceptional.

  • phrasing and musicality WAY beyond his age..wow

  • I'm 19 and still learning this piece. What I know now I learned by watching Sebastian. Did you watch his brother, Juan-Salvador? these two young mean are incredibly talented! I hope as well that I can play like them.

    Rose

  • Wow. That was awesome. I am also learning this piece, however, I am fifteen and feel a little behind on the game, especially on the kadenza. I hate double stops!!!

    Anyways,

    Spectacular job

I hope I can get it to be half as good as yours!!!

  • This video is my fave out of all three. I just love it!!! There isn't even a word to describe how skilled Sebastian is. Wow, I tip my hat to you young man.

    RoseMae

  • I like his Mozart just as much! Did you hear that cadenza? Talk about playing as if you were creating the music...

  • everyy time i watch this video, it lifts my mood tremendouly! you do an amazing job. please post more videos, sebastian!

  • he's 11 now... at such a young age, he plays with all the emotion a young man his age can play with. idk why people say children can't play with emotion. EVERYBODY has emotions. i love listening to him. look at his expressions, i dare anyone to say he doesn't feel anything..

he puts more emotion into his playing than some adults!!!! keep up the good work, sebastian!!!!! ;p

  • he looks rather mature.

  • please post more videos soon! good job on the haydn!

  • Wow wow wow, oh my God, you really made me cry. I love the way you play and proud of you. I wish I could play as good as you are. I guss you are from Mexico they should proud of you and your Kurdish brother loves you

  • He is so impressive! Is he from Russian?

  • No, I am... Mexican --and proud of it!

  • NICE ANSWER SEBASTIAN... Our country needs more people like you and your family.

  • i love this piece too! this and kreislers praeludium and allegro in the style of pugnani...wink wink...lol

  • What cadenza are you playing? (or what edition?)

  • I'm playing the Küchler cadenza (Edition Peters Nr. 4182).

  • Wonderful sound, amazing expressivity, focus, elegance and grace. Bravo maestro!

  • a little gentleman

  • Gee...u're great!!! I wish I could play like that...I'm ten right now, and I can't play that piece as musical as he does...does he have a Russian teacher? Hey everyone! don't you think he's a Awesome Player???

  • My current teacher is an awesome French violinist, Henry Gronnier, but I learned this piece (the Haydn) with my former teacher, an awesome American violinist... Ilana Setapen.

  • he looks so elegant !!!

  • Fantastic!! I am playing the same thing but I am 15 years old.

You did a really great job!!!

  • what grade r yuu on kwl piece if im a high enuff grade i wanna do it

  • Incredible! I am a little envious. I am 45, been playing violin (I mean learning violin) for a number of years now, and I am not even half as good as him. Excellent Job! Keep up the great work. Your family must be extremely proud of you. I know I am.

  • Wow, this is really good! How long has he been working on this?

  • You sound fantastic - all the hard work paying off. I hope to get to see you play live some time!

  • Such beautiful phrasing and style! Keep up the great work!

  • he's an awsome violinist!!!!!! he looks really great!!!!! though i'm not sure he plays metallica lol :P

  • Wow!

  • A very impressive performance! Very skilled phrasing and an overall style that is very lush and engaging.

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! but can he play Metallica?

  • I'm proud to call this splendid violinist my younger brother. The way he phrases everything shows a very mature understanding of the piece, and the transitions into different sections are so smooth. I also love how his spunky character filters through the elegant playing. I think Haydn is played best with refinement combined with assertive character, just the way Sebastian does it... So Keep It Up, little bro!

  • Incredible. Enough to restore one's faith in today's youth. The discipline, the talent, the expressivity, the whole package, is just what we need more of. Good luck and god bless.
