I think people confuse tribulation/trial with judgement. Many people will be saved during tribulation. Noah and Lot were removed before final judgement not tribulation, big difference. We will be raptured/gathered to Christ at the last trump and return with Him, those that miss this event will face the wrath of God, looks like sometime after the 6th seal? This is not dogmatic, just what I understand. I hope people don't loose faith if the rapture doesn't happen the way we think?

@sorens70601 It appears the 2 events are closely related, the falling away and the revealing of the lawless one. Godliness could be whats holding him back, this could be whats restraining him. In a sense that could be the Holy Spirit. But if there is a departure form sound doctrine and godliness, IE A GREAT FALLING AWAY, then we are in effect quenching the Holy Spirit. The bible says in the end time we will have a form of godliness but deny its power. Just a thought, what do you think?

It gives 2 clear signs that must happen first: A great falling away, and the lawless one is revealed. In Matthew 24:29 Jesus clearly stats that he comes (AFTER) the tribulation of those days! This was Jesus' response to his deciples when asked about his coming. I suggest you read the whole 24th chapter of Matthew to better understand.

Now the confusion about pre, mid, post rapture is this. Jesus is coming at the beginning of the trib for saint at the rapture (his bride). He returns WITH his bride for the resurrection of martyr's 3.5yrs into the rapture (wise virgins), he then returns with ALL the saints in glory at the end of the tribulation for Armageddon. There is 1000 years and then the biggest war the Apocalypse. So if the rapture happens today then the Apocalypse will be 1007 years from now. Rapture is real friends.
Before judgement of the flood God had Noah prepare a place of safety for him his family and designated animals. God shut the door of the ark the righteous were safe the wicked perished. When and how I get to Heaven really doesn't matter to me, long as I get there. I got Jesus. He came in and changed me, made me anew. I been born again (Jn.3:7) And my sins are forgiven. What more can I ask for. But knowing Him as I do, I know He'll keep me from that hour of tribulation (Rev.3:10) like He did others like Noah and Lot. We Christians are not appointed to that wrath (1Thes.5:9).
2007dnt. You obviously didn't go to the site and read the passages given. In addition to what is there read 1 Corinthians 15:52. Christ returns at the 7th trump, not before. That is when we are changed in a twinkling of an eye. Read Rev ch 9 for the order of the trumpets. If you still don't get it, so be it.

Am I correct to say that the Holy Spirit lives within us? If I am, then 2 Thessalonians Ch 2 Paul said that the day of the Lord would not come until the man of lawlessness is revealed. But then he said he cannot be revealed until he who holds him back is taken out of the way. Who can hold Satan back but God? Interesting you mentioned to watch for the signs. The signs given in the scriptures are the signs of the end times, that tell us that his coming is close, and it also says that its after those signs that his coming will be and the gathering together unto him.

The Bible says Jesus will come like a thief in the night---you wouldn't know that you're about to be robbed so how can people say they know the EXACT time and date of HIS return? No one knows but the Father--Jesus indicated HE did not know--ONLY the Father knows the time and date. How can we presume to know more than Jesus?

It's not 2012 it's not 2011, the ancient Greeks predicted the end. Nothing has happened. Jesus will come when the earth has gone into the age of darkness, the tribulation, and the number of Christians is less than 1% of the population. Almost Noone will know to look and when that happens the last date god has made will become truth.
@TheyAreHere2: You are right about 2011. We are on a 70 year countdown starting from May 14, 1948 when Israel became a nation and fulfilled Isaiah 66:8. We are paralleling Daniel 9:2. That means we are in year 62 until sometime around May. We can also prove by scripture that the Tribulation starts the DAY that Palestine is recognizes as a nation with Jerusalem as its capital through Rev 11:1-2 and Daniel 9:27.

The greek "paralambano" used by Jesus in the Matthew 24:40 passage (translated "taken") means to be "received," or "not rejected," the opposite of the greek "apheimi" (translated "left") which means to be "let go," "disregarded," or "neglected." For proper "context," rely on the source lexicon. Remember Luke 21:36

This theory presented sounds quaint...but I don't believe there is any scriptural evidence that those particular events would happen on the yearly Sabbaths.
What is more likely is that the sun & moon events happen @ the same time, i.e. post volcanic eruption.
Matthew 24 does say nor the Son, depending on what version you read. Most versions say nor the Son. The only ones I found that don't are WEB, NET, KJV and NKJV. My point wasn't denying the deity of Christ, only that mans pitiful attempts at guessing when he'll come again are meaningless and a waste of time. Because no man knows the day. Jesus did give signs of those times to come, but that doesn't mean we should sit here with our heads in the clouds accomplishing nothing for his kingdom.

If there is a pre-trib or mid-trib rapture, then there must be a second rapture because of martyrs and converts during the tribulation. Obviously there is only one rapture, so it must be at the end. Pre-trib doctrine relies on inferring from different texts. There is no one verse that clearly states that the rapture happens before the tribulation. I think people confuse tribulation/trial with judgement. Many people will be saved during tribulation. Noah and Lot were removed before final judgement not tribulation, big difference. We will be raptured/gathered to Christ at the last trump and return with Him, those that miss this event will face the wrath of God, looks like sometime after the 6th seal? This is not dogmatic, just what I understand. I hope people don't loose faith if the rapture doesn't happen the way we think?

@sorens70601 It appears the 2 events are closely related, the falling away and the revealing of the lawless one. Godliness could be whats holding him back, this could be whats restraining him. In a sense that could be the Holy Spirit. But if there is a departure form sound doctrine and godliness, IE A GREAT FALLING AWAY, then we are in effect quenching the Holy Spirit. The bible says in the end time we will have a form of godliness but deny its power. Just a thought, what do you think?

Now the confusion about pre, mid, post rapture is this. Jesus is coming at the beginning of the trib for saint at the rapture (his bride). He returns WITH his bride for the resurrection of martyr's 3.5yrs into the rapture (wise virgins), he then returns with ALL the saints in glory at the end of the tribulation for Armageddon. There is 1000 years and then the biggest war the Apocalypse. So if the rapture happens today then the Apocalypse will be 1007 years from now. Rapture is real friends.

When and how I get to Heaven really doesn't matter to me, long as I get there. I got Jesus. He came in and changed me, made me anew. I been born again (Jn.3:7) And my sins are forgiven. What more can I ask for. But knowing Him as I do, I know He'll keep me from that hour of tribulation (Rev.3:10) like He did others like Noah and Lot. Am I correct to say that the Holy Spirit lives within us? If I am, then 2 Thessalonians Ch 2 Paul said that the day of the Lord would not come until the man of lawlessness is revealed. But then he said he cannot be revealed until he who holds him back is taken out of the way. Who can hold Satan back but God? Rapture is throughout the Bible but let's just stick with 1Thes 4:17. The phrase caught up is where we get the word rapture. In the Greek it is harpazo and in the Latin Vulgate the word is rapture. It is very biblical and has to happen for Daniel's 70th week to occur. It doesn't matter if you believe it or not.

According to Jesus, His coming will come after the sun moon and stars go out (6th seal) (Mat. 24:29, Rev 6:12-14) sometime after the middle of the seven years (70th week of Daniel) (Dan. 9:27, Mat. 24:15) no man knows the exact day or hour (Mat. 24:36)

@TheyAreHere2: You are right about 2011. We are on a 70 year countdown starting from May 14, 1948 when Israel became a nation and fulfilled Isaiah 66:8. We are paralleling Daniel 9:2. That means we are in year 62 until sometime around May. We can also prove by scripture that the Tribulation starts the DAY that Palestine is recognizes as a nation with Jerusalem as its capital through Rev 11:1-2 and Daniel 9:27.

@kelsey4442: I'm really expecting the Rapture to be before Pentecost, which is 50 days from Easter. Read Son of Solomon 2:8-13 and it seems to indicate an early Spring Rapture. It is close!!!

I'm hearing that the US dollar will be devalued sometime between March and June between 50 and 70%. So be prepared with stored food and water in case we are here a little later.

Both Psalms 3:3 and Revelation 3:3 refer to "rapture" (Jesus called it "paralambano") in a divine concordance of prophecy, however to be part of Christ's bride requires favor with the Father. This is taught by Jesus in Luke 21:36, Matthew 22:1-14, and in the virgin parable, Matthew 25:1-13. Many saints must enter Tribulation in order to be purified by trial (Daniel 12:10)

His reply was, "where the bodies are (taken), the vultures will gather (as in dead bodies). Those that remain and are left behind will see the Messiah's return after the tribulation. The greek "paralambano" used by Jesus in the Matthew 24:40 passage (translated "taken") means to be "received," or "not rejected," the opposite of the greek "apheimi" (translated "left") which means to be "let go," "disregarded," or "neglected." This theory presented sounds quaint...but I don't believe there is any scriptural evidence that those particular events would happen on the yearly Sabbaths.
What is more likely is that the sun & moon events happen @ the same time, i.e. post volcanic eruption.

Matthew 24 does say nor the Son, depending on what version you read. Most versions say nor the Son. The only ones I found that don't are WEB, NET, KJV and NKJV. My point wasn't denying the deity of Christ, only that mans pitiful attempts at guessing when he'll come again are meaningless and a waste of time. Because no man knows the day. Jesus did give signs of those times to come, but that doesn't mean we should sit here with our heads in the clouds accomplishing nothing for his kingdom.

If there is a pre-trib or mid-trib rapture, then there must be a second rapture because of martyrs and converts during the tribulation. Obviously there is only one rapture, so it must be at the end. Pre-trib doctrine relies on inferring from different texts. There is no one verse that clearly states that the rapture happens before the tribulation. When the tribulation comes a lot of Christians are going to be unprepared, saying: "He can't be the anti-Christ, we're still here." Or they will fall

That could be a terrible time for the believer, even though escaping from the trib. Judgment happens at his appearing and his kingdom.The trib. is called the time of Jacob's trouble. The tribulation saints along with the OT saints, I believe are raised just prior to the millennial reign of the Lord. It's true that the pre trib position is inferred from several passages, but disagree it is not clearly stated. Must understand the time frame that the church, the body of Christ is part of.

Neither corollary would be meaningful without early redemption. We must pray for FAVOR to experience this, however (Luke 21:36, Matthew 22:1-14 & Matthew 25:1-13)

1 second ago Why do you all think that people will be disapearing all over. This is a lie we have to understand the bible for ourselves not what someone has been telling you traditionally. We go with one persons belief and we run with it. There will be no Raptue. This is a false teaching. We wil have to go through some or maybe through all of the tribulation.

The Bible even tells us that the Word of God has to be "spiritually" discerned. Man's opinions won't do it. Jesus is coming soon for his true church, not those that claim to be saved yet are sinning against God everyday by partaking in the works of the flesh listed in Galatians. People who smoke, drink, have sex outside of marriage, lie, steal, fuss and fight with their mate and have any sin in their life won't go with Jesus. You must also have the baptism of the Holy Ghost

@MsSweetPuppy Looks like everyone is doomed then. We are sin that is why we are to repent of our sins everyday. No man can go a day without sinning. The only one who did that was Yahoshua. And he paid the price for all man but it is up to us to repent and ask for forgiveness. Shalom/Peace

What I am talking about is "willful sin" meaning, you KNOW that something is a sin, but you don't care what God thinks and knowing it's a sin, you do it anyway - that is what I'm talking about. Having sex outside of marriage is sin, adultery is a sin, smoking is a sin, taking drugs is a sin, lying is a sin, murder is sin and the list goes on and on. It's not a do it yourself thing. One must be born again and receive Christ, then the change takes place.

Jesus said to more than one that he healed and brought deliverance to: "Sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." Jesus said, "Sin no more," to those that he saved. You think He was kidding people. The Bible says, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." You think God was kidding here...no, God means what he says. Jesus didn't come, be beaten to a pulp, treated unkindly, and finally killed/crucified so that man can continue to sin; the devil never told a bigger lie.

The Word of God is man and woman's safety, not people's opinions, which are many times very wrong. The holy bible says this about the coming of the Lord:

@MsSweetPuppy Did Noah sin? Did David Sin? Did Moses sin? Did Paul sin? etc. They knew what they were doing when they did it. They knew it was against the law of Yah and they did it anyway why because the devil is powerful, so powerful that Yahoshua had to pay the price for our sins so that Yah would forgive us.

We need only listen to what Jesus says about the end of the world: Matthew 24:35-37 "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." The signs tell us to prepare, but do not assign timing, because only our Heavenly Father knows the day and hour.

Research ancient egyptian religion. Religion that was around before the bible existed, and you will find stories that are EXACTLY as the bible.

@makeme708 Sorry but you are incorrect. Jesus said that no one would know the date of his second coming. It would come like a thief in the night. When the 21st of May 2011 is past I will come back to this page and comment once again. For centuries people have been date setting and they have all been proven false. Jehovah's Witnesses are a primne example of these false prophets so please be warned.

THE RAPTURE. which NO MAN KNOWS, thats why he gave the parable of the 10 virgins. thos who satey up expecting the bridegromm (Christ) and those who fell asleep and lost the OIL of the HOLY SPIRIT. the rapture and the 2nd coming are TWO different events. one is to take up the saints to escape the WRATH of GOD, the other is to ESTABLISH the KINGDOM of GOD on earth.

@Smokewunn Ooops, Yes, my apologies. I should have made myself clear on that. People who say that they know when the RAPTURE will happen are deceived in my opinion. No-one knows when the rapture will happen but people will know when the 2nd coming will be because of the signs of the times. Jesus will come back at the end of the Tribulation period and everyone alive at that time will know He is coming back. Apologies once again, I should have made myself clearer : -)
