These are all fully Metroid clones, right? I remember Space pirates cloning Metroids, but they ended up as Mocktroids. So basically, we can expect Metroids to return in future games... (How else would the "Metroid" games continue ;))
Yes, these are the supposed Metroid clones that were created from the Metroid hatchling. The Mochtroids are actually different and are found in Maridia, if I'm not mistaken...
Well I have a theory on that. During Fusion you notice there were Metroids and Ridley and Space Pirates on the research station right? I think the Space Pirates were able to clone Ridley while fixing the original at base and gave the frozen clone to the Federation in exchange for weapons and stuff and they also tried to steal metroids and got them or the GF gave them Metroids in return.
Why else would Space Pirates be on the station? So while Samus is now an outlaw Ridley's sipping tea while recovering and watching over a new batch of Metroids that can actually evolve! Scary ^_^
Don't forget that, in the game, it's said that Metroids multiply quickly when exposed to beta radiation rays. All it takes is one and in the case of the story of Super Metroid, they had it; The larva that Samus retrieved from SR388. I'm assuming that a Metroid won't stay lareva for long, of course.

Im from brazil and even so a know that the metroid stoped sucking samus power , because it had recoganized that samus was that one who rescued it on that planet( not zebes) for the fist time. (when The larva came out of that egg at the beggining of her explain about the metroids). And the space pirates kid naped it and carry it to zebes...

Why do you switch off the Varia and Gravity? Damage faster? Because don't the suits reduce damage by like 1/2 with all of them?
