  • wish these knobs would just stop anybody that endangers so Meany people shoude never ride a bike again

  • as a cyclist who just rides round with Little problems i get sic of Thea's aggressive riders with cameras where thy are perfect and every body else is out to get them least gaz545 has both sides sic of the camera clad cyclists getting in to pointless augments then the rest of us get all the flak from there bad vids why do you think you can ride fast cos you are on a bike if thy slowed down a bit and looked whats going on round them thy would not get in to the trouble thy do

  • Fair enough there superb riders but what the risks to OTHERS that is involved make them highly selfish and ignorant. Wankers!

  • pfff, we are professional cyclists, you are commuters, so many of you die in a year on London roads...hah wonder why....

  • @enyke Taxi drivers and bus drivers are pro drivers and yet they do more dangerous stupid things than anyone else. It's the arrogance that comes with saying "Yeh I'm pro, I own the road." I'm not a commuter, and I can agree, there are alot of idiots who do commute, but shit like this doesn't exactly endeer cyclists to other road users.

  • this is the reason why cyclists have a bad name!

  • sweet very good video thats how u ride ur bike not like a pussy. messengers r hard as fuck bouncing off cars allday u gotta live fast ride fast die fast

  • highly skilled my arse they hit ped for pete sake.

extreme sport that danger a lot of innocent bystander is SILLY.

  • This is crazy man, I'd never do this! Many hugs from Brazil, I'm loving your silly videos, I mean, your Silly Cyclists videos! ;)

  • lol pretty insane :D

  • Whilst I aggree that cycling in this style does not improve the public image of cycling, I think your overlayed critique is a little patronizing, even if light-hearted. When I was a courier, I worked 10 hour days and developed lighting fast reactions, jumping red lights and fast filtering is a necessary part of the job. I did this for a year without a single accident. Although illegal, my cycling was much safer than that of your average commuter.

  • @rjfc2 Since I quit being on the circuit and went to uni, my reactions have got worse even though I commute daily. I would not dream of cycling the way I used to, unless you are in tune with the dynamics of vehicles and peds, it WOULD be dangerous to yourself and others. This is the problem with the fixed gear bike scene. Posey mustached tw*ts from shoreditch buy a track bike, cut down the bars, stick a mini-d in their back pocket, and assume they suddenly are able to ride like a courier!

  • When I first watched that 'race' through central London some years back I was in total shock. It was terrifying the speeds they could get to, constantly swerving through traffic, almost hitting people several times.

How none of them didn't get hurt is beyond me.

  • I appreciate now why some drivers hate cyclists - I hope never to travel the same roads as these insane adrenaline junkies!

As a regular cyclist it P's me off to be assoiciated with the likes of these riders!!!

  • BEST EPISODE YET!

So much respect for these guys skill - no way I would have the balls, fitness or skill to do this.

Disclaimer to avoid abuse: this is dangerous and should not be encouraged.

  • I HATE all the cyclists in this video with a passion !

I wish one of them had smashed head on into something

Giving cyclists a bad name like this isnt cool

  • Do they do it to be king (or queen) of the couriers? or to prepare for if they get a big delivery or some shit? Just I can't think of any good reason to do this, when U could do downhill racing and only risk hurting yourself (or a tree). It looks fucking awesome though... X-wing flying through in the trench on the Death Star awesome

  • 5:46 WANKER!

    rofl

  • @startreking2007 In law that is what is referred to as "fair comment".

  • Believe It or not, They know what They are doing and unless you yourself are a courier, you will NEVER understand the thought processes of one. The guy that was at front throughout the video knows what he was doing and is an incredibly skilled rider. Alleycats are what i like to call Death races I've done one and I assure you I'm in no rush to do one again but to walk away from one without a scratch sure as hell takes more than luck. now the cyclists on barcley's bank bikes are a different story

  • @rookie66 I fully understand the thought process of these riders. People take a lil joke a little bit to seriously.

  • @gaz545 heheh hey now, I can take a joke. My comment wasn't aimed at you, it was just a general statement, and I read a lot comments on here bashing and thought "Hey! let me throw my 2 cents worth and show a different side" I DID fail to see the joke though.

Commentary was good by the way, fell in love with your voice (no homo) :P

  • Morons on bikes giving skilled and safe cyclists a bad name.

  • the irony is that couriers ride like this (not all the time) because the companies you work for have no interest in their welfare. i sometimes get paid £1 for jobs, to ride somewhere that takes 30 minutes to get to?! there is no insurance, no sick pay, no minimum wage, no unions, no lunch breaks, no job security, & that will never change unless people like YOU pressure your companies to give a shit about couriers. we are self employed so to raise any objection means no job. you are also boring.

  • This is like watching a DVLA examiner commentate an episode of Top Gear. Hilarious.

  • The last comment on the video at 5:44 sums them up pretty good: "wanker!" They are like the ghostrider videos (a motorcycle maniac who drove 300km/h in traffic) but even worse. At least with ghostrider he risked mostly himself, as the other people were in cars. These wankers...

  • Damn, these guys are only relying on their reaction times, which is not acceptable when there's other users on the road - it's fine when it's you and a downhill off-road and the only one at risk is YOU. I guess this is the challenge of the Alleycat, but it's not super-cool.

  • Londons Gazzing! Cheers Gaz545 that was hilarious. . .I do like your videos. I did an alleycat before and its fuckin scary, but massive fun. Cue loads of comments about how much of a c'#t I am. . .well shut the f'#k up and watch my courier video its boring as tossing off over an old porno you've seen a million times but it shows all you curious types what life on the road is like. Remember to look before stepping out into the road folks. . .or SOMEONES GONNA DIE!!!!! BTW I'm not Count Basie.

  • brilliant video! fucking hilarious!

btw- i've never seen a messenger using a whistle though i have heard stories of people losing teeth if they crash with one in their gob. didn't your mother ever tell you about running with a lollipop in yer gob?

  • These guys are assholes. An elderly pedestrian was killed by an idiot courier in Dublin a couple of years ago. The guy was at speed on the pavement and hit a pedestrian stepping out of a shop on Baggot Street. This case is constantly referred to in any debate surrounding cyclist's rights in the city. It has done us no end of harm. Not to mention the poor pedestrian.

The sick thing is that I still see couriers behaving the same way around the city and even on the same street. Morons.

  • @dublinrolling some woman was killed on eversholt street by a nodder jumping a red light last year. i don't know of any london couriers killing pedestrians. clearly dubliners suck.

  • I have started to watch this vid a couple of times over the years but it just makes me cringe :(

  • You've ruined one of the best cycling videos ever!

  • I hate the alleycat races so much I cant even verbalise it. They are a bunch of pr*cks. Anyone who copies them is either a pr*ck themself or just plain stupid. As I said on the original video the guy at the end got away lightly when the bottle was thrown.

  • I always thought I was fairly handy at filtering but these guys take it to another level, I was sitting her flinching at some of those!

  • lol... can't even keep up the commentary with all the problems they are causing...

  • @drsquirrel0 Hahaha i know, i was trying to think ahead quite a bit to see if i could talk about things before they happened. but it's just too fast.

  • @gaz545 When I cant get the words out fast enough I cut it into sections and pause over the bits that need longer narration/text.

  • @downfader2 cba to do that ^_^

  • I know its silly and dangerous and what not, but around 2:43 - thats a slight WIN!

  • Epic skillz (the pedestrians have at dodging them.) Not as mad as the New York "Bike Messengers are on crack" one one though...

  • Not so much silly.... more suicidal. And think what they are achieving as ambassadors for road cycling.

  • thats SICK. lol

  • cyclists are generally responsible and safe,

however i detest the idiot cyclists that post their stupid videos on youtube, where they complain about drivers of vehicles (who are usually behaving perfectly normally)

This video is excellent in exposing the minority of idiot cyclists.

  • @dllIlb "normal" does not always mean safe or law abiding. Be thankful someone is willing to stand up and say, many dont.

As an aside - I find it odd how your channel/account is down yet you manage to post? Have you been banned?

  • @downfader2

'normal' means in a manner in which they are supposed to behave.

  • @dllIlb well no, I'd disagree. Many of the videos I see are of drivers doing things like running the lights, speeding, aggressive and unsafe overtakes. Thats neither normal or how they're supposed to behave.

  • @downfader2

move to the real world dude.

if your experience of life and your definition of 'normal' is based upon what you see on youtube videos,

then you need the kind of help that only folk in white overcoats can provide.

in the real world, 'normal' driving is what the vastly huge majority of drivers do on a daily basis.

  • Complete nobbers, Illegal racing on public roads is totally wrong, whatever form of transport is being used whether bicycles, bikes or cars it should be 100% condemned.

  • that is just sheer mental madness!!!

Have a healthy and safe new year to all normal sane! cyclists.....

  • What a bunch of assholes!!

Sorry but busy streets are NOT the place to be doing this.

  • @NWLondonerCyclist they're the only place you can do this. Otherwise it wouldn't be an alleycat. durrr.

  • They all deserve to die, preferably being squashed under a buses wheels.

  • 2:22 pass inside of an ordinary cyclist causing him to swerve further into the road.

  • mad cyclists

  • Great idea doing this. That video has always made entertaining footage but, damn, just wrong. So close to getting hurt in so many places, and giving us all a bad name.

  • not silly cyclists, stupid, idiotic cyclists. morons! FFS look at how many accidents they could have caused! and the cheek to cycle the wrong way down a road in front of a police car?

  • omg i almos threw up! foking balls of steel or no balls or never fallen so don't know how much it hurts.. respect

  • @pedroaguiaromundo Respect? That's the last thing they have, or deserve.

  • @ilscozzese true they have no respect nor deserve any, but you gotta respect the fact that a human being is capable of endangering himself and others massively like that.. or i just chose the word veery badly, by far.

  • im sorry to say but i think these guys are pricks. almost caused so many accidents.

  • 1:42 fuck!

  • holy fuck!

  • that taxie at the end he is a bit of a mug tbh if why dident he just slow and leave them a gap to shoot throo rather then make no gap and maken them sweave and going the long way arout him

  • @101ToySoldier101 right??? some people just cant be unerstood =/

  • You have to admire them for their balls and super fast reactions, but they're pretty stupid to put pedestrians at risk like that. And I wouldn't like to be the guy that hit and maybe killed one of them.

  • @AlexA1ex You're giving them too much credit, in the majority of near-misses pedestrians and drivers also had to react to avoid colliding. There's nothing to admire.

  • @ToWriteForPosterity K, maybe admire is the wrong word.

  • @AlexA1ex :)
