The point is that intelligent beings can do a lot with 250 years. Unless you're saying that fantasy as a genre requires its intelligent species to have absolutely no desire to make any more technology after swords are done.

What are you raving about? GW2 is set 250 years after the end of GW1, things have changed. There are guns and clock/steampowered things such the Engineer's turrets. How you can even attempt compare GW2 to SWTOR is completely baffling...
@Aliencode20 Stop crying, come on man, there's enough other professions. This being a fantasy game, doesn't mean that things like bombs and turrets are completely forbidden. At least this is somewhat original. This is GW2, not part one, if you want to play a dervish, you can play Guild Wars, but come on, you don't have to get angry just because you don't like the profession. It's just a small part of the whole game, loads of other stuff you can enjoy as well.
