When has the government spent less or come in under budget? It might be cheaper to fill your tank but fewer people are driving so supply went up driving the price down. The market has been up and down but the latter will dominate the future if the policy's of this president are allowed to continue. Doubling the deficit within 6 months of being sworn in won't help the American dollar in that case. His wanting to help the rest of the world get out of the recession I don't agree with either. Without question the war costs money. But to say it caused by itself the deficit I have to disagree. Bush's tax cuts he enacted (which sunset very soon meaning tax hikes unless obama extends the tax cuts to keep his promise about no tax increases), the war, economic downturn, a big freaking bailout, those things add to the budget. BTW Obama is still cutting the medicare budget by 316 billion dollars.

All that's being proposed is a governmental option for health care. If you like the plan you have, keep it. If you want a governmental option, ok. What's difficult to grasp about that? Medicare is for old people, No Child Left Behind was a response to make union teachers own up to their demands by actually earning the qualifications, and the Iraq war was about America's safety. In 1994, we gambled our security with N Korea and today, we are at their mercy. We took out Saddam BEFORE he developed the capabilities to kill us as he threatened, so what?
