If anyone calls this place "ugly",there's something they're missing. The architecture is that of the 60s, minimalist, beautiful. At the same time the buildings have so much function to their form.Every building has an outdoor classroom built in somehow.Though the trees are gone and the mall has been rebuilt, it is still an amazing place. The fact that the mall has been redone takes away from some of the integrity, but still. This campus was built specifically to house students of the arts.Amazing.
@hatmanman122 I haven't heard back yet, that's because my sat scores are going to be sent in on the 31st of this month, then later in April results should be in.
When I went to school there (class of 97) Design Tech, we threw a lot of big parties. Sophomore year we had so many people on our second floor apt, that when House of Pain's "Jump Around" comes on, the floor breaks, literally. The next day we noticed the apartment shifted, the walls have separated from the ceiling. They condemned that apt and banned second floor parties from then on, I don't know if it still applies today. After that we lived in the apt next to the RA office, first fl.
Great video. 1:54, I remember walking through those tunnels. The walls weren't painted white, they where covered with layer upon layer of graffiti and murals. Very colorful.
this is funny and after watching this, i can say i am happy to have graduated and am never looking forward to when if ever i will have to return to this dump.
@fvaldez115 I just graduated from purchase 2 yrs ago and i miss it like crazy. there is no other school like purchase!! watching this video brought soo many good memories sighh
Wonderful images that brought back memories...especially of the inside of the Humanities Bldg. Very nicely done and thank you! SUNY, College at Purchase Alumna, Class of 1982
i don't mean to steal views but on a similar note i shot some stuff specifically about the campus architecture at vimeo.com / 31855232

I cannot believe that I get to go to such an awesome place next year... I am so freaking excited!! ^^
When I get there, I'm going to find a friend who has been there for a while, show them this video, and say, "take me to all these places!"
I do recodnise one place though, from when I was there for portfolio day. ^^
