epicfantasy i have a question me and my dad have won a championship for making really good battle of pearl harbor dioramabut now this like srategy store wants us to make a lord of the rings display and u know in the second movie how they have the huge battle at the good guys castle well they want us to build that battle scene and they're offering us 10,000 dollars.

any advice u have.

very cool! I do 1/35 scale though, so technically that would mean that the part of the diorama has to be bigger a bit.

I've got a question. My dad and I are building a window display diorama for his store. Its a baseball game from the 1890's, I've found some kids playing ball from the right era, but we'd like some adults. Any advice would be great.

is there a newspaper alternative for paper mache

i mean can you use any other kind of paper found around the house?

Paper Towels like Bounty work real well. Paper from a computer printer doesn't work so well.

Thanks! That would be fun. I should look at ways I can autommate this diorama. I was thinking about putting the characters on some kind of moving setup so they could engage each other.

Well i took the plunge, and I had allot of fun. I couldn't get my hands on any hydrocal at my local hobby shop so im going to have to order some. But in the meanwhile, I mixed up some speckling paste with some water added in to thin it out, and used that instead. Its my impression that it works just as well. Just thought i would throw that alternative out there.
