You guys are comparing 2 cars, made by the same company, that are essentially the same vehicle.saying that a tuned R34 can beat a stock R35. Now, i sure hope, that an earlier generation of a car tuned up, would beat the next generation up, stock. But, take that same R35, and tune it up, with comparable parts that the R34 has, and without a doubt the R35 will win. Its like krzfly said, technology moves forward, not backwards, of course the R35 will beat the R34. That's the way Nissan designed it.

And I didn't forget the r34 is lighter But what i do know is the r35 has beat a TON of cars that are lighter with more power. The r35 practically drives itself no misshifts, Way faster shifts, handles great it is a all around better car then the r34...

@nyelement007 The rb26 is also not very reliable, the manuel shifting is just an opinion on which is more fun but nissan wasnt going for fun they wanted a supercar. I love R34 GTRs but they dont compare at all.

paddle shift is better faster. but nothing compares to being a bad ass and knowing how to shift gears using your foot to step on the clutch! paddle shift is for lazy rich pussys. clutch and stick is for hard core bad asses!!!

R34 is much better and with 530 horse same as r35 r34 would win this race.6 speed manual you launch yourself dont ruin your 76k car trying to get a 0-60 time.i like to launch a car not let a computer do the work for me.

@nyelement007 Launch Control can be used many times aslong as you don't turn off Tracion Control or the VDC turned off. But with the New 2010 models the much stronger dual-clutch Transmission & Control Module. All the computer does is make sure it uses full power apart from that its up to the driver, the computer doesn't drive for you or anything else.

@aquateen123 It was an N spec with nismo tune and yes it was very quick and twitchy as hell to drive, around 480hp upgrade but as i said a struggle every km I drove. I hear the r35 is all of that without the brutality

@masonizere ya i know what it is. its just that all these performance cars only comes with paddle shifters now. i thought when you bought a Ferrari it was supposed to be about the thrill of driving, not taking 3 tenths of a second less to get to the end of the road. if its a race car i get it. it saves time. but come on nothing is better than 3 pedals and a stick shift. if youre putting that much money down on a GTR or anything for that matter, you chould at least have the option to choose.

@VpY22 ya i realize the GTR is a technological milestone, kind of revolutionizing the auto world, like the Veyron did. i didnt say anything bad about the GTR, and i agree its badass but any knob can drive one. then you have the R34 and supra's and so on where the driver has to have a ton of skill to stay alive. plus the R34s are rare and basically coveted by any enthusiast. Not saying that the GTRs are Camry-everywhere but the R34 just has that legendary/awe inspiring/king of tuners feel u know?
