Mythbusters are wrong there are many documented incidents where zippos have stopped bullets in fact the mythbusters are wrong on more than one occasion like when they said that only miniguns could take down a tree with bullets even though the history channel did it with a British vickers machine gun.

@scouser96100 There are other scenarios where I believe it to be possible. These shots were all straight into the surface at a 90° angle. Change that to 45° and maybe a bullet would deflect (but not be stopped) by a Zippo or other object. (I've heard of large coins, cigarette cases, etc.) I don't think anyone suggests they are adequate protection, most of the examples I've heard were just pure, dumb luck that the person survived.

There are several levels of armour for varous purposes. There's stab armor (for knives and sharp weapons, there's flak armour (for shrapnel and depris) there's blast armour (for concussive force and explosions) there's pistol armour (most police use and will protect against pistol rounds ((-9mm))) and then there's rifle armour (military, SWAT, protects against rifle rounds ((5.56, 7.62))) No body armour is "bullet PROOF" but they do save lives most of the time.

@MrFred2023 The .50 cal. eagle is not the most powerful pistol in the world. Infact, most of the time autos are loaded down a bit from revolver loads so the gun will live longer. "Most" revolvers are stronger than their semi-auto brothers. The .50 eagle is a beast though. I'll keep my Ruger Super red/black hawks in .44 mag. I can find them anywhere and they do the job first time and every time.
