Well, broodmother wasn't using the spiderlings to their fullest, and well I would pick beastmaster over tidehunter, and void over nightstalker, Lycanthrope wasn't banned or picked and that's weird for a pro game. oh and span, darkseer is the best support in this game, and I guess we will see rooftrellen more in the upcoming games -it got released in CM as far as I know-

@markryanvillalon its still far from finished so you either just go back to the old games if you cant wait, or wait for the game/beta key. About the tourneys well dota 2 is going to replace dota 1 so i dont see why you shouldnt start moving the pro scene to dota 2

@markryanvillalon They are slowly increasing beta key "numbers", not because they think it is cool to tease, but because they are working with the servers. Making them more stable with increasing user numbers and such. Pro players are the most important in making a balanced game and I'm pretty sure most of DOTA pro players are playing DOTA2. I highly doubt a retarded "l" letter user can give helpful feedback on the game. Nor could I give good feedback if I had the key.

@DotaCinema Im assuming they'll go the HoN route and make it free to play but you have to buy little stuff here and there and heroes whenever they make new ones because they want to make some money but the initial game is free hopefully the heroes will be cheaper then 5-6 dollars like HoN... I wish it still were completely free, but nothing is these days...

@beanspad It would be game braking to make heroes purchaseble. The whole idea of DOTA is that every hero has a counter, or should have one. In that case this would be not free to play, but pay to win. And that is utter bullshit. Better go buy to own then. And if they eventually decide to add more heroes, they would have to be more powerful than average DOTA2 hero to make it worth to purchase. That would be sickening too. But VALVe doesn't usually brake their games like that.

@Qnigz So im gonna pay 60 bucks for basically a game that people just play if there bored not much people actually get into it an most of the people that think they do get into it an are good arent an are jus arrogant. I hope its free an they jus release heroes every few patch like last time. Its basically the same thing over an over again so even though i enjoy it sooo much i dont think it deserves 60 dollars cuz it can get very boring very fast.

@beanspad This is not activision, we're talking about. A multyplayer only title like L4D now cost like, what.. 14dollah? Portal 2 - a newer game - costs 22. Anyway a lot of people are ready to pay 60bucs for DOTA2 though. Those are, of course DOTA1 die hard fans, but majority of people are wiling to pay >30bucks for this. If you think that this game is gonna get boring for you rly soon, I would recommend not to bother with it in the first place.

@beanspad If it was just a copy paste with better graphics, there would not be such a fuss about it in the first place. It is VERY similar, yes, but not completely the same. DOTA1 is not a perfect game. Anywho, those pricing suggestions are based on what majority DOTA forum dwellers want. Not my opinion. Anyway, if you know VALVe, you know that you can expect anything from them. Even F2P. (In-game "cosmetics" shop kinda supports it.)

@beanspad what you basically pay for is that icefrog and his team can finally transition to an engine that supports the game and makes their work far easier! blizzard pretty much ignored the funmap-scene until the first rumors of dota 2 came up, so even so the war3-engine is damn good its not made to make their work easy! so what you get is a new graphic, a game with more possibilities for the future and more balance due to faster patches!

@romeprince11 Top teams got into beta. I believe VALVe got in contact with top DOTA"1" teams themselves and invited them into the beta. I guess this beta is solid enough to make it into competitive scene. Of course VALVe wants as much advice from the professional players as possible. If DOTA2 beta sucked ass or had game braking bugs - there would not be any tournaments yet.

@romeprince11 it is not yet announced why the pricing plan is for dota 2 that will be up to valve though id prefer a full purchase so we dont have to unlock heroes I.E league of legends/ftp heroes of newerth however they could go inbetween where u can play for free then pay for all then pay for all access to heroes
