  • 50mph offroad is pretty impressive!

  • hi, what speed will the buggy pull off road?

  • @Straightsix76 it can be geared for 50 mph no problem :)

  • O u mean teeth I don't know ATM I haven't checked I'll do it tomorrow

  • @linkinpark345123 i think thats says it all. thx:)

  • It is a single speed

  • It is possible I have a single speed transy the reason y I know it can do pretty close to 90-95 is cause the old engine I had was a 3p sh .28 engine it it did 75 stock , and the other reason y I know it is cause I raced a jato 3.3 that does 80 mph according to the box and reseller.

  • @linkinpark345123 lol ok....

Fastest i ever got with my Jato 3.3 stock was 64mph.

Even 70mph would be a though task for a SH.28

What gearing you used? the buggies all have single speed transmission, some have available 2 speed options.

  • @linkinpark345123 Most of it is a marketing ploy when it comes down to advertising speed.

  • when i get some more fuel and a new clutch bell i will post a video of it

you got to remeber my car has a 8 port 4 HP engine in it 36000rpm

  • @linkinpark345123 and you have to remember that you shouldnt use manufacturer claims, they are all different from one to another and are way too high.

An OS.28XZ is stronger than the SH.28, no matter what you do. The Xdyno, used by some modders and also XRC is the only relaible way to tell the hp.

What gearing you used to get those speed? im asking just to see what you will answer, because i know its not possible for a single nitro engine buggy to hit those speed.

  • That's not the fastest one I got a redcat racing hurricane xtr with a sh .28 8 p engine and it does 95-100 mph

  • @linkinpark345123 yeah right lol

  • @linkinpark345123 haha i would like to see you even do 80mph in your single transmission 1/8 buggy..as far as i know mike does have the fastest 1/8 buggy..if anyone has faster prove it with video evidence...

  • @linkinpark345123 you keep sniffin the glue shit stain ,,,,the name is cupid,,,not stupid..How can you expect people to by this bullshit?? again lay off the cheap drugs fuck face.

  • Nice.

  • i herd the cen matrix c-1 turbo was so much better :) could that be true and when i said im geting into it does not mean in new :)

  • Hey im geting into buggies what should i get. im looking for speed and steering and what parts should i get to add to it. to me 45 miles a hour just aint enough :)

  • Nice :)

    Id get a RC8 buggy, with a strong .28.

Then gear it to the dsired speed :)

The OS.28 is a good one, with an ofna 086 pipe.

  • nice but my rc8 brushless will give u a run

  • I agree, but its like comparing apple to orange.

The Violator is an heavier buggy, with a nitro motor, wich is less powerful than a good brushless setup...

The only chance would be to run a twin engine setup, then it would be pretty close it can probably run 90-100mph

If you want a better comparison, browse in my videos until you find a video called,

    "RC8 top speed 100mph"

and we were undergeared, my friend sold his buggy before we received the new gears...

  • but as i say good jod i never saw a nitro buggy that fast since ???? a long time

  • Thank you :)

Its still the fastest nitro buggy im aware of.

For a good brushless setup 77mph is a breeze though... :)

  • Side note, its the fastest "single " nitro engine buggy..... :)

  • yup long live brushless lol

  • @MikePeperni ..yo..mike

    modified engine?

    whats modified on it??

im asking cos i want to mod my picco 28

thanks man......i like your vids..they inspire me.

  • Thx,

Yeah the engine was lightly modified, mostly crank work and crank timing.

    :)

  • Ok thanks ima try it an let u kno how it goes

  • where can i find a 25t clutch bell and is that the only thing u did to your buggy

  • The 25 was custom fitted and modified from a team losi 18t/25t clutchbell, we used a custom gearing for the spur gear.

    The spur was 38T

  • well how can i get one of those because im using a 22t clutchbell now

  • Team losi 18t 25t 2 speed clutch bell , i got it on ebay, you need to grind off the small pinion, and keep the 25t only, you will need the complete losi flywheel and clutch setup to have a perfect fit...

    :)

  • thanks ima try it an let u kno how it goes.

  • nice speed..

  • the vzb .21 will add a faster speed. replace the stock parts with carbon fiber. i also lighten the chassis by drilling out some parts.. nice buggy

  • The VZB is not as powerful as the OS28, on a 13t yes it would get more speed because of the rpm, but the Vspec doesnt have enought power to push the buggy that fast. We tried it with custom carbon fiber chassis and it wasnt faster.

    Thx :)

  • In your opinion, which one is more powerful and faster, your ab modified picco, or your modified os .28xz?????????

  • Overall the OS .28XZ is stronger and faster, but the Picco .28 drag mod have a more brutal bottom end.

The biggest advantage on the OS 28 is the mid to top end, and the rpm it can achieve :)

  • ok so listen to this mike, i have and ofna world comp to, that came standard with a TWO SPEED, I also know for a fact what it will do., what do you say HOMIE!?

  • ?? whats your problem?

  • If you want my opinion then the ofna 2nd speed gear is only a 17T (if you have the 13T 17T bell) biggest optionnal from ofna have 17T 21T. On the video we are running a 25T, making the 2 speed transmission useless. We also run smaller spur gear than stock, custom fitted.

  • nice vid. you did break the record for sure. I am thinking about trying ;)

  • and what fuel?

  • BlueThunder HP8 30% race.

  • What brand buggy is that?

  • Its an Ofna Violator "Ofna" is the brand

    :)

  • It was single speed in this test, intenal ratio?

The center diff is modified for a wider ratio than stock, clutchbell was bigger also, custom modified from another brand of clutchbell...

  • by ratio i mean the number of teeth of the clutch bell and spur gear. 25/38?

  • You are pretty close, in fact your right on.:)

  • is it 2 speed?what is the ratio of the internal gear...and what % fuel?

  • where did u buy that speed gun?

  • I bought it on ebay :)

  • how much? nice vid by the way!

  • Thx ! :)

It was under 100$ cant remember exactly, watch for deals :)

  • Thanx man!

  • what mod did you to to your os

  • It is very similar to a Stage 2 from ABmods. The drag mod is even stronger.

  • once again excellent job Mike!!

love seeing the work you do!

  • Thx man! my friend called me , he tried a gearing we worked on, he got 79mph , will try another gearing also this weekend, on camera this time! :D

  • thx guys! we were using a 25t losi lst2 clutch bell. and custom fitted 38T spur gear.:)

  • AWESOME, Great job Mike!!!

  • Good job. What gearing are you using?
