In my opinion, they did a good job accomplishing what they were trying to do, a few problems but thats common. Based off call of duty, they were trying to create the best mp they could.

They added point streaks, weapon proficiency's, a new spec ops mode, rewards when you prestige. They focused more on the gameplay than the visuals, which is why i think alot of people were upset. I like the lighting they have in mw3 though. I look up at the sun and it glares of my weapon and i'm like whew.

This game is different because the gameplay is more balanced than mw2 and mw1. I agree that it feels SEVERLY differant from those games, but its because we've grown a custom to extreme gameplay like mw2. Its still a good game, but for some, it strays too far from the call of duty we've come to expect over the years.

A possible patch or update to prevent people from camping is this:

If someone stays in a corner for 20 or more seconds, the system kicks them out of the game, saying that that person has been kicked for camping. They can only stay in a corner if they are using a strike package reward, recovering health, or reloading your gun.

RL snipers usually "camp" , and that's why they are the most feared soldier on the ground. Because their training is insane, not to move an inch in horrible weather and conditions, slowing their heart rate so their aim is steady and so on. Just saying... next time someone camps and kills you think about it and realize why it's a smart move. You survive!!!

Hell, my favorite game of all time was BF1942, and it's still my favorite shooter franchise, but I still love the MW2 engine, and think that BFBC2 was the absolute worst thing DICE has ever done, and even BF3 was a step down from BF2 in terms of gameplay.

@L118AwEsOmE I've liked Call of Duty since the first Modern Warfare, but I must say that MW3 is NOT fixed. The campers are still there, the stupid little kids are still there, the hit detection problems are still there, and the ever-so-annoying host migrations are still there. Also, the killstreaks are overpowered. As for Battlefield 3, the graphics are absolutely amazing and the multiplayer is no less explosive than CoD's. It only shows your ignorance to call BF3 "exactly like BFBC2."

yeah true, the game is SO fixed, even spawn trapping is SOOOO fixed. they fixed all our glitches in BF3, MW3 still has its shit in there. we know the engine is a PS2 engine. they pushed its limits 4 years ago in COD4, what I realize is that they release almost the same graphics, look at MGS1, it's not like MGS2, and MGS3 as well, and finally MGS4 looks totally different, while COD1 looks like MW3 exactly.
