The reason I went into business was my experience of how the business' I worked for treated workers....they are bought wholesale and sold retail.....a worker is a variable expense to most companies, not an asset....this is why there is such a huge difference in mgt pay and worker pay....if mgt just took a few million of a multi-million salary and paid workers just $1,500 more......that is more than the avg 3 % increase the avg $40,000 worker gets each yr and are very grateful for..I do this.....

The real problem is, which no one pays any attention to, is we don't have 79 mil people in that pay range. We have an economy of $8-$20 an hr. 79 mil are in that pay structure. There is no disposible income to buy products. $600 housing, 300 utilities, 500 insurance, 2k taxes, 1000 prescriptions, income = $2000. Add welfare, we have no disposible income.

I agree what a waste of money. Remove federal tax from all American workers for 12 months & force all 50 U.S states to keep their state tax with out any increase for that 12 month period. If one MILLION tax-free dollars were given to EVERY American citizen directly, without restriction, the economy would be stimulated. People would PAY OFF their debts, BUY cars, BUY electronics (and other things they want), and put some money in savings. pride, the actual cause was because corps showed more assets on books than actually were. People invested on that premise. When ppl found out the assets weren't there, they held stock in nothing. the market crashed. This is the same sit, financial institutes stated they had assets that really weren't there. The WPA put ppl to work to keep them out of the soup lines, gave them some dignity. However, the switch to war products, selling to European countries, saved our behinds.

The reason I went into business was my experience of how the business' I worked for treated workers....they are bought wholesale and sold retail.....a worker is a variable expense to most companies, not an asset....this is why there is such a huge difference in mgt pay and worker pay....if mgt just took a few million of a multi-million salary and paid workers just $1,500 more......that is more than the avg 3 % increase the avg $40,000 worker gets each yr and are very grateful for..I do this.....

I understand you. I've had several small business in my life, not as large as yours. Sometimes I made money, sometimes not. The real problem is, which no one pays any attention to, is we don't have 79 mil people in that pay range. We have an economy of $8-$20 an hr. 79 mil are in that pay structure. There is no disposible income to buy products. $600 housing, 300 utilities, 500 insurance, 2k taxes, 1000 prescriptions, income = $2000. Add welfare, we have no disposible income.

I agree what a waste of money. Remove federal tax from all American workers for 12 months & force all 50 U.S states to keep their state tax with out any increase for that 12 month period. The key in this spending bill should be how to create PERMANENT jobs opposed to the TEMPORARY jobs that they are creating, a park will created jobs for a month, a bridge will created jobs for 1 years, they are all temporary jobs and those Democrats voting for this don't understand that this is the biggest waste of money ever. To create permanent jobs the private sector must be helped opposed to public sector building parks.

you can promote abstinence forever, but we're wired to have sex and even think about sex, starting from puberty. The only way to discourage it would be to make it illegal. that'll will probably cause rape crime rates to rise though. And more and more pregnant teens will do unsafe abortions for fear of getting arrested. If abortion is illegal, they'll find a way. Also, STDS will spread rapidly all over the US Not a lot of people in Africa have access to aids, and it's an epidemic in that country.

In Europe, they understand that Socialism DOES NOT WORK! Apparently, many of us here in America don't look beyond our noses. The only free press left is the internet. Local stations aren't carrying anything to discuss. The real problem is the middle class collapsed. Those that made o/$100k are now at welfare income, 79 million plus welfare is over half the nation. The new middle class is $8 - $20 hr. Pelosi is going to take a good chunk. The richest state in the union is rewarded for NOT taking care of business. Why not look at states that took care of business & stayed solvent? The same as finance-no accountability.
