  • interests2009 just sounds like a negative attitude. Complains about anywhere this person goes. I say leave and see if you can do any better anywhere else with an attitude like that. "Up north" is no good, down south is no good. Maybe try alaska. Maybe you can join Sarah Palin's church and find a job through her network. hahahaha.

  • Blah F'ing blah. Yes jobs are hard to find anywhere right now. The economy sucks. Asheville has never had a great job market although it is a great town. It is not a place to move though unless you have something decent lined up job wise before you get there and that is not easy to do. As for hippies needing to leave at least they are open minded and friendly unlike the right wing Aholes in other parts of NC (most rural areas). I'll take that over condemnation and racism any day.

  • 1 master's degree. 30-100 resumes a day. 4 years. Zero response. $25,000 spent over 4 years looking for work. Welcome to Asheville, NC. Come here to be smelly and starve.

  • That's NC for you. Of the several years I have lived in NC, I have never been to Asheville before until 2009. Hated it! Looking for decent work in this state is like trying to find a very rare vinyl record of which only very few copies (5) were made. Not to mention the pay and ppl's work ethic is for shit. All the jobs here require all these degrees and shit and you still make $8/hr. (even with a degree). For that reason, I am not looking for anymore jobs in this depressing cesspool of a state.

  • This video fails to show the real street views. Just drive around, nice spin of the video but far from the truth.

  • I used to like asheville, but then a friend of mine showed me spartanburg sc and i bought a house there for under 100 k! If you move to asheville now, you are getting in too late. overpriced and destined to crash. see you in Spartanburg!!!

  • I totally agree. Housing prices here in NC are rediculous. I wanted to move to SC years ago until I realized how much of a cesspool SC is too.

  • interests2009, you should give Spartantown another look.

  • Oh, I did. 5 years ago, I wanted to move to South Carolina (and Spartanburg was 1 place I was considering). But the last time I was there I decided the move was not worth it. The South (except VA) is the last place I would live in. I have it bad enough in NC. Hopefully I will be moving out soon. Then again, it was a lot more decent down here before these ''yankees'' (who we can't stand even up North) started moving here. If I had a chance, I would live in Europe.

  • you will buy a Lfrom me eventually ..bwa hahahHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I grew up in ashevegas, what you'r showing is not what Asheville is. The street performers are starving homeless folk. it's full of homeless & homeles hippies who stink up the town with their matted ass hair and filthy anti social tripe. The restaraunts are priced way out of the league of common working 2/3's of the town ability to pay. full of social elititist from out of town who own vacation homes here and care nothing of true southern culutre. please stop coming here your overcrowded us.

  • Asheville is NOT anything compared to New Orleans. New Orleans has culture, history, and food; Asheville has hippies, drugs, rednecks, and a fake architectural center known as "the Biltmore Village".

  • this video isnt asheville at all, im from asheville and myself and everyone i know hates the hippies that walk around smelling up the street with there matted ass hair. i dont go up town because of that.

  • Amen to that. Been here in since 86. The hippie thing really needs to go along with the yuppie pricks. Weed out those two and asheville would be a great place. And I ask WHEN THE HELL ARE THE STREETS DOWNTOWN GOING TO GET FIX. Third world countries have better roads than what it is currently.

  • actually PLEASE move to Asheville. If we could get more people to live here the economy would get a much needed boost! More jobs would need to come in, our area would be more attractive for big business. Please come here, we need it!

  • Beautiful shots... Missing only a nice audio track

  • Have you considered adding an audio track to this to give it more energy? Other than that, it's great.
