  • love it, love her, love the cello.

  • Pandora

  • radiolab sent me here. Awesome music.

  • a one woman orchestra...amazing passion...electrifying

  • It's like Charles Ives channeled through fiber-optic wire into outerspace then dropped down onto Manchester in 1986. That's what I call a good time. Manchester was great back in 1986. Lots of great food and good hard-working people.

  • This was the first video I saw of Zoe Keating. I've since spent a few hours watching many others........sometimes many times........and I now have two of her albums in my collection. What a talent!

  • It almost seems like shes from another world. DMT and ZOE go along like peas and carrots

  • Waow!!

  • so amazing, i dont really have words

hearing you on Radiolab last year made me want to get started with looping

thanks for that and for your music, exceptional

  • Wow, I'm blown away! Reminds me of what Phil Keaggy does with the guitar.

  • I love this song!!!! i listen to it at least three times a day :P

  • First Zoe song I've heard,impressive.

  • WOW.

    nuff said.

  • any fan who hasn't heard the WNYC Radio Lab podcast featuring her called "quantum cello" really must get it.

It, like this video, highlights her incredible method and artistry. not to mention a few new pieces of music!

  • This is hypnotic, quite beautiful.

  • Excellent.

and FYI WillWriteYourSongs, I think you mean that the point is 'moot'

  • This is amazing. I first heard Zoe on Radio Lab, and I'm in love with this music.

  • haha. Same here. I first heard her on Radio Lab and can't stop coming back.

  • DELAY! I love it! One of the best tools out there! Only issue is the feedback is a sqizz to high. Still great anyway.

  • It's not delay, its a loop. She plays the "riff", it goes into Abelton and gets looped. All this is controlled via her pedal-board.

  • I do music too remember? I use ableton live 7 along with my set up so I know what she does and ableton live is built for what she uses it for. You know what? Set the delay controls on your program "Feedback" and "Cut off" to full and you've pretty much got a loop board. So, the point is sort of mute.

  • Amazing and mesmerizing! What Zoe does to create such wonderful music defies adequate description. BRAVO!!

  • not sure why your vids aren't viewed more often! You're amazing Zoe! Love your music!

  • The rules won't let me express what I really want to say, but it rhymes with "clucking bell". This was really fantastic. I am searching for records right clucking now!

  • I just discovered Zoe Keating about 2 weeks ago and immediately bought all of her music off of iTunes. Not only is her music amazing, but the fact that its done by one person in Real Time is phenomenal!

  • Brillant, saw Jean Luc Ponty work with loops by himself in the 70's off a continuous tape....similar styling...

  • I saw her with The Dresden Dolls last night, they performed several songs together. I was ABSOLUTELY blown away!

  • i wish that trent reznor would tour solo but with her as a back up

  • That's funny, just the other day I likened her to Trent. I agree with you!

  • word

  • Обалденная девчушка! Супер музон!

  • Mesmerizing! Love this...and we are family! John Lowsby's (step)daughter, Coozie and my husband Scott.

You are added to our favourite's playlist!

  • AHHHHHH I looovvvveeeee her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a dance video i made on my page with her music

  • chills

  • Wow... Thats Awesome!!! Rock-on!!!

  • Absolutely breathtaking! Rock on, Zoe! You're amazing!

  • um this is great.

  • Gosh this is so amazing.. was kinda sad that she left Rasputina, but after seeing this I think she's even better alone..

  • why did she leave Rasputina?

  • so she could concentrate on her solo career

sad though :( i wish she didn't leave, but sarah bowman is really amazing too

  • everyone in rasputina is impermenante, except melora and jonathon. sarah bowman is great and her voice is airily beautiful. but i think zoe keating's solo career is entrancing enough to get over her departure.

    she's so talented.

  • The seed of it all

    And Manring's tribute to Jaco.

Cuong Vu also does it with trumpet. I love it all. It's a great technique. Zoe is the only one I know of doing it on a bowed instrument.

  • They all sample in a manner similar to Jaco. I will attempt to answer this with some appropriate videos. I saw Zoe on Saturday. It was awesome. I hope she goes far.

  • She samples in a similar manner as Keller Williams. Overtones of Lori Anderson, but her own thing entirely. I love Zoe.

  • She's amazing The coolest thing i've heard lately:)

  • Saw her live, and it was amazing.

I wish there was a clip of "The Sun Will Set", though.

    That's my favorite.
