Considering it did some damage, then it would be a double KO (unfair!). It never happened to me, although been hit after defeating your opponent is quite rare already.
This is where the game glitches. If Deejay had no/very little energy left, the fireball would have either knocked his meter to all red but left him standing, OR he would appear to die, but the round will still be awarded to him, because Akuma was defeated first.
Yes, you are wrong. The secret boss you face is Shin Akuma. Only Shin has the double air fireballs. The one players can select via a code is normal akuma with only 1 air fireball. That distinct difference between the 2 has been seen in lots of games. Not to mention the amped up power Shin has that normal Akuma doesn't have.
I was wondering why I couldn't do double air fireballs when I was messing around with akuma in practice mode. This definitely clears things up. And yes, I know Akuma is broken as shit in this game, I don't use him seriously, I main Chun in this game.
As far as canon goes for the story line, shin akuma IS normal/regular akuma...the only person akuma fights in his "regular" state is Ryu because he sense ryu doesnt have any killing intent when they fight so he doesnt go all out on Ryu....otherwise technically he's Shin akuma whenever he's fighting...as far as the canon goes anyway
"As far as canon goes for the story line, shin akuma IS normal/regular akuma."
Well duh, Shin akuma and regular akuma are the same. the "shin" version is just akuma fighting at full power whereas regular one is akuma holding back.
i doubt there has ever been any confusion by anyone thinking of them as being separate people.
"the only person akuma fights in his "regular" state is Ryu"
Nope. Akuma fights anyone in his "regular" state when he deems them unworthy of his true power. However, that's if he even considers them worth fighting in the first place.
he fights Ryu because he considers him a worthy opponent, but he doesn't fight him in his true full powered version because he doesn't consider Ryu to be at the same level of power.

The game is in Japanese, i can tell that Akuma is going a bit softer, let alone Dee Jay's numerous throws as he never escaped them.

Curious how Akuma didn't soften any of Deejay's throws. In the American version he would break out of about 90% of them.

Something was wrong there at 1:53. After Akuma was finished, the two air fireballs took some energy off Deejay. Is that how it is supposed to be?

I found that strange as well.

In that case, I have another question. If Deejay had no energy left, would that air fireball had killed him or double KO or whatever?
Is it the same in Turbo HD Remix? Just a thought...
