I'm a Muslim teenager and I can't help wondering about love marriages. I would hate to be married to a person who at first, in the meeting seemed nice but after marriage was disrespectful. I wouldn't want to go through all the complications of divorce. But say you liked a guy, or even loved him, and you told your parents and they had a meeting with his parents, about a potential marriage in the future and they agreed that a marriage will happen in the future, but not straight away, is that okay?

Love will automatically grow in a relationship that is based on the compatibility (education, piety, ideologies, lifestyle.. even beauty/handsomeness to some extent..lol!) of the two people. But no matter how much you supposedly 'love' a person, if there's no compatibility, love will fly away soon enough.

I agree if there's no compatibility, love is not enough for a healthy relationship, but the reverse is also true. There are competent human beings who can marry someone they love and also observe compatibility at the same time - that's a combination of heart and mind.

I'm a Muslim teenager and I can't help wondering about love marriages. I would hate to be married to a person who at first, in the meeting seemed nice but after marriage was disrespectful. I wouldn't want to go through all the complications of divorce. But say you liked a guy, or even loved him, and you told your parents and they had a meeting with his parents, about a potential marriage in the future and they agreed that a marriage will happen in the future, but not straight away, is that okay?

It is hadis that I have passion for 3 ie salat, perfume and women.

We should not seek opinions from 'scholars'. When God has given everything required by him from us. He has ASKED us to strictly follow his book, it is not good to find short cuts instead understanding Quran
Ulema should also restrict their replies from Quran.
