Dorin Goian is great player. When he was at Steaua, he scored a few times in European Cups, is very good defender and maybe he will scored tonight in Uefa Chamopions League against Malmo. I remember that a several years ago, Dorin Goian had scored agains another sweden team in Uefa Cup, Halmstad. Then Steaua won with 3-0. Sorry for my english!
Great video really looking forward to having a big solid no nonsense defender at Rangers, we've got Weir who's a good defender don't get me wrong but in his 40's and Bougherra who's a defender/winger/attacking central midfielder/striker. We really need someone who concentrates on defending. Welcome to Rangers Goian, seen him at half time tonight coming out to see the Gers fans.
@Kkardemumma Whittaker is good domestically but when it comes to Europe he's a joke, 95% of European games we lose is goals being conceded down Whittakers side. THANK GOD FOR ALLAN MCGREGOR! I never slag of Rangers players I support each and every one but Whittaker was again at fault tonight so I have to agree. Rangers till I Die!
@rangersforme1 I agree he's a good player, but he's not a defender in my eyes. More of a winger. If the Right-back position didn't involve defending it'd only be natural to put him there as he can make goalbound crosses or even pose a threat on his own stepping into the field just outside the box with Davis coverign on the right. I'd prefer Broadfoot most games, as he is a natural defender to me, although he was more of playmaker at the Buddies. Edu was a big let-down tonight as well.
@rangersforme1 But, aye, you're right. Every player that pulls on that blue jersey, especially one who's made such a commitment to the club for the coming couple of years, should get our support. And thank God for Allan McGregor, indeed. On a more positive note, what did you make of Lee Wallace and Ortiz tonight? Especially Ortiz showed some of the quality he possesses and probably would have used in the Hearts game had it not been for McGowan.
@Kkardemumma Really like Lee Wallace think he's a great signing really happy with him, I think Ortiz should be played on the right his cutting in doesn't work much but I do like his pace and think he's a hardworking good player. Keep Believing :D
