I think there is just this huge disconect between catholics and other denominations in christianity. St. Ireneaus, St. Ephraim, St. Sophronius and others sided with the absolute sinlessness of her. Even Martin Luther spoke of this.

I think there is just this huge disconect between catholics and other denominations in christianity. From the out side looking in, it really appears as if there is alot of idolatry in the catholic church. Why even make images of saints for people to turn to when God is all they need. Why pray to Mary or priests when it is Christ alone who paid the price for our sins and protects us in the day of judgement. How the church is structured is also confusing it even seems as if the pope is worshiped

This is something the Catholics need to deal with.

St Thomas did not teach Mary was a sinner. He vacillated. However, he did agree she needed a redeemer.

Actually, I've read a fair amount on the subject, and don't think I need inlightened(sic). The church fathers were divided mostly on WHEN she became sinless; not if she was. St. Ireneaus, St. Ephraim, St. Sophronius and others sided with the absolute sinlessness of her. Even Martin Luther spoke of this.
And I see you also think Jesus had brothers...an 18th century "revelation" of some Protestant bible "scholars".

The writings of John Duns Scotus in the early 14th century put a lot of that disagreement to rest by demonstrating with biblical verse and early writings that God had sanctified Mary at the moment of her conception in His foreknowledge that the Blessed Virgin would consent to bear Christ. Sorry, but I don't watch antiCatholic videos on youtube. The reason is there is way too much twisting of the truth, and often outright lies in the ones I have watched.
You can take this very video for example - many of the clips are of Eastern Orthodox clergy. Maybe the producer thinks they are under the pope???
And we DO pray to Mary. Shall I give the etymology of the word "pray"? We do not worship her. Author of video evidently thinks he can see into others' hearts.

@adamantis4657 Romans 5:12 states all have sinned. Romans 5:19 states through the obedience of one (Chirst, not Mary) shall we be made righteous. Here are other scriptures that state Christ was without sin: Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 9:28, 1 Peter 2:21-22 and 1 John 3:5.
Now sir, instead of firing accusations at me, please show me the scriptures that state Mary was without sin just as the above scriptures, you asked me for, state that Christ was without sin.

Mathew 1:25 clearly states Joseph knew her after she bore Christ. Matthew 13:54-56 & Mark 6:2-3 documents Christ's 4 brothers: James, Joses, Simon & Judas as well as mentions He had sisters.
Didn't Christ turn water into wine at a wedding hosted by his mother Mary? Was she hosting a wedding 4 someone else's child?

Mark 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
There is no other interpretation other than these R Christ's siblings who Mary bore after Christ's birth, who R being used to identify Christ.

The Virgin was betrothed to Joseph not to be married but to have a protector. Thus she was betrothed to an old widower called Joseph (GOD ADDS). Because he only protected the Virgin

Where have u read that they were married? I did not find any verse that says that they were married. When u read carefully u will only read: BETROTHED. It is a custom in the Bible to call betrothed: Wife and Husband. (u will find thousends of verses in the OT)
But they were NEVER MARRIED. In the Holy Orthodox Church St. Joseph is called. ST: JOSEPH THE BETROTHED until this day.

1) The only way Christ could pay our sins debt was to live a sin free life. Are you saying Mary did not need the shed blood of Christ to pay for her sins debt?
2) That means she had the character to deal with raising the Son of God. Her genetics had a lot to do with it for as she was a descendant of David, as was Joseph.
