  • No really Polybun, you fucking faggot. You're probably an operator in a production

shop. What a cockslurper you are to even say such a thing.

I'm a master machinist and a lead programmer, so don't tell me I'm a button

pusher. You $8 dollar an hour motherfuckers piss me off. Go find a real job, dick.

  • fucking nice.

  • Very cool, I'm a HAAS cnc machinist and I'd love to build something like that. NICE !!

  • @TheLonetreecreations haas cnc machinist... that's a way of saying you don't actually know shit about being a machinist, that you are just a fucking button pusher.

  • if only unity could be achieved..think of the possibilities!!

  • dude... can i come to your school? my school just got really lame...

  • i wish my school let me do that...

  • very nice! did you machine all the pieces yourself?

  • Fantastic

  • Very nice !!

  • Link is broken, where can i get those plans?

  • Thats awesome.... What's your price?

  • Thats awesome.... What's your price?

  • That is awesome! Does your teacher have a new address? I would like to purchase a plan or kit but the site is down. Thanks!

  • that's awesome

  • The real question is what is the HP and torque? Also I think that the lubrication may pose a problem. If you sink it in oil, you risk losing a lot of power and torque, if you don't, engine will have a short life span. But at least folks are using their time to do something good...

  • Forget the engine, what kind of high school has a CNC machine available to students?

  • @typodaemon my scholl population has a grizzly maual lathe but you can hook a computer to it if you wanted to

  • @typodaemon that's what I was wondering.

  • @typodaemon the kind students like me are very lucky to attend.

  • @typodaemon lol, mine did.

  • haha sounds like my friends moped :P

  • Too much energy loss with so many parts and connections

  • Now that's a nice engine. Good work dude.

  • ooh, massage chair! lmao

  • HOLY FUCK!! O_O

    Cool Steampunk design!

  • If 1 torch isnt enough... Just grab another one =P

  • very good work, great job with the HAAS. beautiful.

  • il modello è davvero molto ben realizzato ! ma la resa sembra minore rispetto ad altri...

  • awesome job, nice engine, works great and looks good too.

  • i felt bad when you turned it off :/

  • oooooooooooooo :/ its dead again

  • But it on a bike xD

  • feels like it`s alive :)

  • How much for you to build me one? Love the craftsmanship, great job!!!

  • Insane design man!

  • great

  • feels like a V4 gasoline engine :D

    nice work ^^

  • Nice machine, but it would run smoother if the cranks were 90 degrees out of phase instead of 180. Very elegant, and nicely made...

For the free power enthusiasts.... these things are always much less efficient than ordinary petrol engines unless they are huge, and very costly, and then they are only slightly more efficient than diesels, but have the advantage that they can use dirty heat sources where they are available.

  • Actuallly Dust and stuff can Really affect theses i have a Much smaller one and my mom just smoking by the engine stoped it and it had to be rebuilt

  • your design was faulty, in my experience sterling engines are quite a bit more resilient than that haha.

  • take one of these to a room that has airborn dust and just watch it slow down

  • Clever solution for almost no lateral movement on the power and displacement cylinders...

    Great work :)

  • thats crazy! awsom

  • When I see stuff like this, it's just madness that we as a world of people have subjugated ourselves to the slavery of paying power bills to the big energy companies.

Meanwhile they fuck us over even harder by strip mining for coal, building nuke plants, and poisoning people.

One day I'll be telling people this is the way it was, and they won't believe me.

  • How much make this?

  • The US is implementing these down in Caly big solar reflectors point the light at a 4 cylinder stirling engine, best ever is 31.25% power conversion.

  • Sure is better than the usual %20, but I bet a new design could near 40.

  • How about cranking the size up and hooking it up to a generator to see how much power it can create

  • RPM?

  • Got the plans and they are EXCELLENT!!!!!! Very clear and detailed!

    Thanks again. MIKE

  • htr

  • Is this an alpha or gamma design? If it is an alpha what are you using to seal the hot piston? Very nice engine by the way.

  • does your school supply all the materials or do you have to pay for everything out of pocket?

  • what if you change the flywheel for a rotor, fit some magnets to the frame, make some energy and use that to heat the air?

I mean after starting it with a gas burner for example, switch to its own power..

    Could it work?

  • Lrn2Thermodynamics

  • it would most definitely not be 100% efficient, no mechanical system is.... it would be something akin to a hybrid car. you could use the energy generated to assist in heating the air for the engine but it wouldn't run indefinitely.

what you're thinking of is the concept of perpetual energy and there are several "designs" for such machines if you look on google, if you're into that sort of thing

  • if you would find a machine that can do this as you say you would be the greatest scientist or whatever that has ever lived because it would be a perpetum mobile google it if you don't know what that is

  • it would work as good as if you powered a generator with an electric motor on it's own power .

  • Impressive! That little sucker holds a decent amount of heat energy

  • clubby1234, it is people like you that hold the potential of the human race back.

    And geoffory, love your work!

Forget the naysayers you have a most ingenious design!!

  • DAMN! Where were the cool projects like this when i was in high school. In advanced Auto/machine shop, the coolest thing i ever got to do was work on my own engine. Which was cool in the since that my truck was a beast when i graduated, and i made a career off of doing what i love (automotive). but it sucked in the way that when i screwed up, i was out of alot of money. And we never got to build anything from scratch.

  • a beautifully engineered example, nice work!

  • Very nice bit of work, I like it, thanks for sharing.

  • So beautiful!

  • great

  • How many RPM did you have?

  • It has been awhile since I checked it, but if I recall under two torches (as shown) it got to nearly 1200 RPM.

  • I'm surprised it's that low. Looks very fast.

  • thats because the fram rate of the video is low. :-) can't keep up with this amazing peice of art!

  • @geoffory Did you have plans or schematics to build thayt engine? If so would you pass them on to me?

    JK
