No, actually, they are huge in other parts of the world, having won European Grammis. They are huge here in San Francisco, and in a lot of the non-mainstream fronts. They are anti-corporate, which is why you don't see them on MTV and such. But they are huge, and it has nothing to do with Jose Gonzales.

No, you are simply wrong. The Knife is not a techno band in Europe, with limited appeal. They were major award winners of the Grammis a year before Jose Gonzales came out with his cover. Jose Gonzales, by the way, is a personal friend of The Knife. They are all Swedish. If you like the lyrics to this song, you like The Knife lyrics, because that is who wrote the song that you describe as what "love is"...

Thanks, and nah, tuning is low E down to drop D, and the G-string to F#. Rest is standard. ;>

Gonzales uses the "DROP D" tuning, additionaly with G string tuned half step down to F#, so tuning is (D A D F# B E) with capo on the 1st fret
