I had the pleasure of seeing Mel live in Spokane. Along with Marty Robbins, they put on the best shows I had ever seen. I remember the first Country singer I heard as a kid at 5, was Hank Snow and fell in love with real Country music then. They were real performers who didn't need all the smoke and mirrors and flying around to entertain the crowd.

This is my favorite Mel Tillis song. Medium tempo, good for a relaxed, easy two-step dance around the dance floor. I wish some of the younger singers would emulate this style of country music. Some do, but not enough of them.

The Videos of Mel Tillis are a lot younger but he still sings a good song here the <"New Patches" is one of my favorites. A fan of Mel's for a long time.
