  • It's sad to think that the people who put the bombs out there have nothing better to do than put out those things. Oh, for the people who put those things out: What if that thing blew up on YOU? You would loose fingers and be blasted with acid, sounds like fun, doesn't it?

  • I guess I will not be cleaning up the neighborhood anymore, sad to think those sickos are out there. I am lucky I didn't come across one, there is always junk put on my lawn, I just raked this a.m.

  • great camera work dick hole.....

  • Youd never know whats inside like shrapnel, bb's, what type of powder/chemicals were used. Which is why all the authority is needed. If it's just a harmless BBB (backyard bottle bomb) then its no big deal. But someone was carelss enough to leave it in the public, which is certainly grounds for investigation.

  • Did they evacuate the city first?

  • Hold on people. They said the police detonated the second bottle bomb. They generally use a small explosive charge to do that. Hence it is possible we are viewing both explosions. Furthermore, a simple bottle bomb might not generate the same specticle we saw here.

  • Must have been terrorists !

  • My buddies and I used to make these when we were in high school.

  • Oh lol I got this from Snopes

  • Oh brother! Big Deal!

  • I could have saved you all a lot of trouble with a bb gun.

  • this is stupid. who would call 911 for a frick'n bottle bomb?!

  • the biggest explosion there was the bomb technitions so it seem pointless

  • Fucking idiots making these and leaving them around....what if some little kid picks it up?....

  • @VetteAholicZ06

what if ANYONE picks it up? but i totally agree with you

  • @islandchika537 Yep, I agree that you agree with me lol.

  • @HeadLiceDurkalMonkee Prince is on the bottle now?

  • Any dumb kid who leaves one of these bombs on someones lawn deserves to have it shoved up his anus.

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • What a joke. Your tax dollars at work....How many pigs and firemen got paid to do this? No wonder we're bankrupt.

  • Lol I make these all the time

  • Nice job on the camera work. Maybe you should cover other events so we can miss the most important part of that too.

  • I hope that doesn't happen to me!That would kill somebody

  • That explosion was not the bottle bomb detonating itself, but the DET CORD used to destroy it. The bottle bomb has 20x less destructive capabilities than the DET CORD. You can see the DET CORD burn preceding the boom. The explosive is destroying the bottle bomb so it DOES NOT detonate.

The viral email about this is beyond ridiculous.

  • I find it quite disgusting and abhorrent to know that there are deviants out there who are actually getting off on knowing someone will be severely injured from their "prank". I wonder how they'd feel it this bomb was in their own hands, huh?

Only abnormal people do things like this.

  • @darepow It's ok man. It's bullshit propaganda.

  • :| Kids these days are really bored I guess...

  • @blitzergeldert Yeah :|

Let's just hope I never see one of these Bottle Bombs in my front OR backyard!

  • Police and fire officials "Cleared the area" so it could be detonated? Are you kidding me? I've had those things go off in my hands so many times. It's a little scary when it does, but not enough that you need the fucking fire department. Jesus christ people. It's toilet bowl cleaner and tin foil.

  • @ilovedagreenday Agreed. The cops wanted to play with their toys. You could 'disarm' one of these by putting a bucket over it and poking it with a sharp stick.

  • @doggonemess1 Haha, obviously. It's sad how much money they probably spent "Diffusing the bomb".

  • @ilovedagreenday

Well, that's what happens when citizens do not have enough sense to live lives that don't require the services of police and firemen that cost tax payer money.

  • @ilovedagreenday and @allmiles1. what is sad is that you cannot see the gravity and danger of the situation. of course, had it been either of you or your family members or friends who experienced it, you would feel differently. be grateful we have services to help us diffuse bombs such as this. the bomb we just witnessed was hardly "lame" or only "a little plastic 'bomb'." what foolish statements.

  • Drano is not muriatic acid. It is sodium hydroxide - a base - nonetheless - toxic and to be handled according to instructions.

It was a big waste of money to make such a big deal of this bottle! The replying officer could have just lobbed a rock at the thing (from a distance) if they are set off by motion!

What a ridiculous day we live in - a blasting cap and tons of "officials!"

If i had found it in my yard, I probably would have shot it at a distance with a BB gun!.

  • LAME..... a little plastic "bomb" just cost that city thousands of dollars.... i guess we need an even bigger police state to protect us from this, i bet when the "terrorists" see this vid it changes their mode of operation and they start buying thousands of bottles of Draino and pepsi and a lot of foil......

  • This is a question for those of you with all your Negative comments. What would you do if it were YOUR child who accidentally picked up one of these Bottle Bombs. I guess the Fear Propaganda would be come a reality. My heart goes out to the Vietnamese children and their families, but let's stay on point here.

    This is our backyard!

  • @av8r6969 Oh please. Yes, it would be terrible if The Children were harmed by drain cleaner. Tisk. So as lone as "we're" protecting The Children we can all run around in circles wringing our hands about the scary chemicals that evil people know about. You faggotyassed posers piss me the fuck off.

  • # 1, Drano is not Muratic Acid, it is 5 or 10% Caustic Soda, Very Corrosive, Base, Not Acid,

    # 2 the problem with it is the bottle can burst and spew Corrosive water all over you, you will need Vinegar to neutralize the Caustic soda, and wash your eyes out with fresh water, for 15 minutes, or while rushing to the emergency room, the worst part is loosing your eye sight

#3, the loud explosion you hear in the Video is the Bomb Squads' Blasting Cap and Primer Cord not the bottle

  • HOLY CRAPPP

  • Worth remembering! Don't pick up plastic pop bottles w/dark liquid in them. They could be a "works" bomb. Drano, aluminum foil, & water. The force can severe limbs the chemicals can cause 2nd & 3rd degree burns. The chemical reaction causes the liquid to boil. Be safe warn your kids, grandkids, friends and neighbors.

  • @livelygranny4Jesus How do you know it's dark?

I wonder how the Evil Ones who create these scary sounding devices manage to make them and carry them to your front yard to target The Children without the "bomb" exploding in their car. I wonder if you people ever think before running off all Henny Penny.

  • One could add a binary fire starting compound, such as potassium permanganate and glycerine, in a water soluble capsule, taped to the inside of the container.

Just kidding! These people are clearly evil terrorists and should be keel-hauled. my previous comments are totally farcical and can be disregarded.

Pennies taped or glued on the bottle are also a nice touch. Kidding again! silly me.

  • twisted little kids man... thats not a prank. since when does pranking some one involve blowing their fucking fingers off???... jesus christ... light some dog shit on fire if you cant get laid. but dont take it out on your neighbours.

  • I make these damn things all the time if it's just a plastic bottle then the bomb squad doesn't need all that gear just gas masks so they don't breathe in the poison gas that the chemical reaction makes it could have cost a lot less just to blow up a soda bottle with tin foil and toilet bowl cleaner in it...wasted tax payer money at it's best.

  • @htmldesigner You do realize that these so called "Damn Things" have enough force to sever fingers, cause 2nd to 3rd degree burns, and even blind you. Not including the toxic fumes

  • @nykelley42

Actually I do realize the force they have and am quite aware of the hydrogen gas that it produces and how deadly it is because I'm a firefighter and I've seen a ton of these things and the after effects of their explosion not to mention made them from time to time as a teaching tool.

  • I have had 4 or 5 of those acid bottle bombs thrown at my house scared my little sis but no one was hurt thank god

  • @SupaSoap590 Someone threw them at your house? But I thought that just the slightest jar and these evil bombs will blow up severing your arms. How did the culprits make the scary non-bombs and drive around with them, then throw them with enough force to strike your house and scare one of The Children, without blowing up in their faces? Those domestic terrorists are certainly crafty!

  • @uhclem Well they detonated when we were all inside the house. These bombs were also scattered across many other houses in our city.

  • @SupaSoap590 Yeah you said that. But it doesn't answer my question: How were the "bombs" which will explode at the slightest touch, transported to your house.

I think you're making it up.

  • @uhclem These were a small bit different than the bombs on this video. They were acid bottle bombs that had a small bit of time before they went off. And they weren't meant to blow off your limbs but to spray acid onto victim causing horible pain. They also made the bombs on our front yard and then boom! I believe they were made with some sort of acid and vinigar. I did not make it up! They had the materials in the car, drove by our house, and then set them up.

  • Homeland terrorists!! I make a bigger boom when I fart than this toy the "Bomb Technician" "disposed of" in what ever po'dunk fuckin town that this was found in.

  • This is a serious offense and could have hurt someone very badly.!! Tanks Jo for sharing

  • or you could have shot it with a .22 from a distance. Lot of wasted taxpayer money here.

  • Eh, it's probably another Jihadist tactic. Another way of spreading terror and uncertainty.

  • @IllWillForYou Oh man. We gotta outlaw uncertainty!

  • They probably hung a small bomb over the bottle and destroyed it that way. The problem is, they don't want draino (sodium hydroxide) flying everywhere by just causing the bottle to detonate. It's not dry ice in a bottle -- it's skin burning chemicals. Oh, and @borlanut is wrong about not exploding after 5 minutes -- try dropping or poking at it slightly with your remaining hand!

  • OK PEOPLE...THIS WAS DEFINATELY OVERKILL. I HAVE SEEN PLENTY OF THESE IN MY TIME AND THEY ARE NOT AGGRIVATION ACTIVATED AS SNOPES.COM IMPLIES. ONCE THE CHEMICAL HAS BEEN CONTACTED WITH THE TINFOIL THE PROCESS BEGINS AND IF WITHIN A MAXIMUM OF 5 MINUTES DOES THE UNIT NOT EXPLODE, THEN NEVER WILL IT. IT WILL REMAIN A PRESSURIZED BOTTLE. YES THE CHEMICAL LEFTOVERS ARE EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS, AND THESE ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FUN INSTEAD TRY DRY ICE AND WATER THE SAME WAY..ITS SAFER

  • @borlanut I see past explosions have blown out your eardrums. Dry ice and water makes hydrogen?

  • Comment removed

  • that was a sick ass explosion!!! (im concerned about the harm of the bomb)

  • @MercMaster101 No bombs were harmed in the making of this video.

  • @uhclem

oh thank Heavens! ive been worrying about that for 7 months!

  • What I'm waiting for is for one of these troglodytes to fuck up in making the device. I think that amputees are fun to watch.

  • draino bottle "bomb", big deal.

Our tax dollars hard at work, lol

    Cops are such clowns sometimes.

  • @tommytowne I agree totally what a waste of tax dollars. Just walk up and kick it then stand back. Stupid cops are just looking to stand around for hours on our dollar.

  • It really looks to me that they used a bomb to blow up the bottle bomb. If any one things that the explosion heard /barely saw was the bottle bomb going off, they're wrong. Not saying that are not dangerous, but the guy w/ the bb gun detonation idea was prob'ly thinking a bit clearer than these bomb squad guys.

  • dont move the fucking camera when the moment we've all been waiting for finally happens.. dipshit.

  • @DisforDubby My thoughts, exactly.

  • @DisforDubby - I think it was a reaction to the explosion, not intentional

  • @kadzbiz Well of course it was a reaction to the explosion... but if you're going to commit to filming something, don't shake the damned camera when the best part happens. If you DO shake it and completely fuck up the video, DON'T POST IT ON YOUTUBE.

  • This is cowardly but very aggressive behavior & it's not to be taken lightly; maiming a person is a serious offense. If it ever happens to you, you'll know how serious it is.

  • lol, over reaction a little bit....

  • It's one thing if it's vinagar and baking soda, then you just have the bottle pieces to be concerned with. But what about Drano bombs, thats muratic acid, the smallest amount will cause severe burns to your skin. This is not something that should be taken as lightly as some of these comments are. I've done vacant lot / roadside clean up with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. I can't imagine this being picked up by a child doing a civic duty. It angers me to read these comment posts by reckless people!

  • @redtnt713 As if that would ever happen. you people use your imagination to freak yourselves out, & make a small thing seem like alqueada. I guess the fear propaganda works. I dont hear you crying about all the viet namese still getting blown to shit, for real, not an obscure imaginative scenario, real death, not burns, real tragedy, by our land mines. your heart only bleeds when its convenient, to your fake emotion. Our food is more dangerous than bottle bombs, I dont hear your cry on that issue

  • @redtnt713

    #1 not muratic acid

#2 the reaction is this aluminium foil, water, and sodium hydroxide that reaction comes back out as Hydrogen gas and AluminiumHydroxide IT IS A BASE

#3 it is corrosive but it's not gonna melt your damn hand off

#4 does not get near being hot enough to boil the water in the bottle, it take almost an hour to get the temperature to 70 Celsius

#5 the explosion is the DET CORD in the Video the actual drano bomb isn't powerful enough to do shit to your hand, Ihatethis

  • @maxacamillion Thank you for posting some sanity.

  • @redtnt713 Drano is lye (sodium hydroxide) , it is not Muriatic (hydrochloric) acid.

  • It's too bad the cameraman flinched when the bomb went off, it would have been interesting to see what the cloud looked like as it went off.

(though I suppose it's to be expected, nobody expects these things to be very loud...)

  • @raceimaztion just search bottle bomb.

  • did that guy really put on a bomb suit to neutralize a bottle bomb? a bb gun would have done the trick.

  • @mikeeinstein1

Well they don't get a lot of chances to put it on so they jumped to the occasions haha

  • This is very dangerous. People have been severely injured from these things.

  • @Kerilas Really? Name two.

  • these bottles can blind you when exploded

  • What a complete overreaction by big government.

  • @bladedspokes Your an idiot if you think that. Try having your children (if anyone if dumb enough to mate with you) or yourself pick one of these up and then tell me that this is an overreaction. Idiot!

  • @juniorspivey They explode if you pick them up?

  • @bladedspokes It's only an over-reaction if you know what you're dealing with but since the police didn't make the bomb they have to assume it's the most dangerous type, or else the results could be disastrous. This is an example of one tax-payer having no regard for other tax-payers and the cost incurred to them over their petty, juvenile prank, not big government being wasteful. The police are following well-established procedure and doing their jobs here. This isn't "the man" it's sociopathy.

  • @babybirdhome Yeah, they have to be really brave to walk up to the scary "bomb" that could explode it you look at it too long, and pick it up to wrap a piece of DET cord around it!

  • doesn't matter about the size its the chemicals in em

  • @legitkfool It's not the meat it's the motion?

  • WTF??? Whys that such a big deal? i make bigger bootle bombs than that all the time!!!!

  • ehhh...sounds like the law enforcement is very good at their jobs to "neutralize" bombs
