Who are the working poor?

I have lots of friends living in California who are dead broke. The lucky ones scrape by on less than $20k a year, no benefits, by doing substitute teaching in Richmond Schools, since "real" teachers are too afraid to teach there.

I have insurance, but cannot afford to see adoctor when I need to .I work 60 hrs a wk,but after taxes ,I have to buy the bare minimum at the grocery store so that I can pay other bills.And I personally know women who sell their food stamps to buy cigarettes and live in section 8 housing, getting assistance with heating bills in the winter as well as toys and clothes for their families at Christmas .I have been told that it is easier to live off the taxpayer dollar than to actually work.

I hate the fact that hard working Americans are forced to make ridiculous sacrifices. we need a serious revolution in this country to eliminate the economic injustices the working class of this country have been forced to endure. We are the backbone of this country they need us more then we need them
