you will get much better quality when u put it on 1080i, when u got a movie dont use the usb cable but use = hdmi to hdmi , and make the movie in sony vegas with the best pixels etc.
only then u will get youtube HD witch is much better quality ( sorry for my english im dutch ;)
ya thats the problem that eveyones talking about this camera, this camera would of been the best if jvc wouldove fixed it, thecolords also blend sometimes when you movie it quicky :(
well the cause is that you are paying a bunch of money for not such a good camera ..i can only recommend you the Canon HV30 ...its the best camera for the price range ...for the JVC HD7 the only not good thing is that its optical stabilizer not so good is ..its my opinion ..but its your deciding ..
well i didnt say that it doesnt have OIS ...but the OIS in it is not really good ...and the evidences are the footages ...JVC can write how much they want in the description but i believe the footages ...notice : i didnt said anything about the quality and the colours ..btw they are perfect
"the shit in this camera is that it has no optical image stabilization ...otherwise i found it very good"
you are however, right in the fact that it sucks - i was using the camera yesterday and found it was smoother with OIS off when i was in tight on a tripod. dunno if it works well when your using it hand held.
as for the colours an quality - eh, the colours are reasonable for the price, but there is a far bit of noise in the footage, even on FHD.

To keep good quality for you tube i think you should convert your videos to an .flv file first before uploading. you can keep the quality and upload a 1920x1080p res. video on to you tube but only good computers can watch it.(really good)
Note. you cant make the video quality better if you don't record the information first...
record in FHD and then down convert it to 720x480 or less for you tube as a .flv file and you should be good
Its a great camera, i used it for a short movie, pretty awesome when u apply effects too /watch?v=RzPfs9ora04
