I've been goin around and those who pull off metal and hardcore on acoustic develop a great sound. Only a few are getting there, though. The others will catch up with time and enough sore fingers.
That was awesome for just goofing around. Some of my style is patterned after this style but without the ring finger and missing much of the muscle in the top of my left hand make it impossible. Course, I use to think that I would never be able to play again anyway and look at me now. I am actually still working on the speed picking which I do know how to do. Just not as fast at it as you.
I believe that was a riff from Elder Misanthropy by The Black Dahlia Murder, which would make it melodic death metal, which sounds nothing like metalcore or deathcore.
Also how can you say metalcore/deathcore? those two don't even sound anything alike.
Deathcore to me isn't Suicide Silence and shit. I look down on that stuff.

And I'm not talking about where they come from. I'm talking about there older music. It has a little metalcore influence. I'm not trying to set them off as a metalcore band, but I can see some in there.
Where they come from used in that context means where they started in music, and although you look down on Suicide Silence, that is what Deathcore is.

It's not from Elder Misanthropy.
Metalcore and deathcore guitar riffs sometimes sound similar. The band as whole are complete opposites.
and tBDM has some metalcore background.

Metalcore and Deathcore don't have similar riffs, I don't care what you say, you might think what you're listening too is Deathcore, but it's not.
