Must have listened again. This should get OSCAR! (Not eg. Williams' War Horse music. Was big disappointment for me. I appreciate him higly - mostly for "The Duel of Fates" -, but War Horse is worse than simply dull.)
But this work is... lifting my soul up high and gives lot energy. From 5:35... what a peak point!!! Absolut tyrannyc!
I like it very much. Absolutely masterpiece. If You had composed "only" this work, You would have fulfilled Your TASK. You are big talent and therefore You have duty too: to use this gift and to create such beautiful works!!!
It is finer than Mansell's Requiem for a Dream.
(And here there is no clap, but fine snare and kettle drum:)
@ConcordantMind Masterpiece yes, I like that very much too (even arranged a bit), but in the long (6 min.) version the singing intro is - to me - rendundant.
But OK, let be equally perfect the 2 works:) Your one gives me the same cathartic JOY, if not a stronger on the peak. You,ve built it up fantastically, Jason
hah i love how i can just goto YouTube and put your music on while I'm at school studying... in 30 years there will be a paper linking the music of Jason McCann to higher GPAs
Hello ConcordantMind. I extremely enjoy your music. I have recently starting making an RPG video game for computers and I was wondering what the price of buying this song would be so I could use it in the video game.
@Andrew4World Please send description of project including details of game, budget, and who you will publishing the game with, etc. When I have a more detailed understanding of what your intended us is, then I can answer your question:) It pretty much depends on the budget. Better way to reach me usually is website or email.
i heard saving emily first :) i bought it on itunes immediately. my friends and i were so excited to see it on itunes (surprised as in extremely happy not like, sarcastically)
@GBWagner1 i'm surprised you hadn't head this one before GB? This was my first one. (well not ever but first one worthy of posting) 3 months ago if your scroll down theres a comment saying this one is still my fav, although I really like the new one also :P
@ConcordantMind I remember very well:) and remember that I liked it very much then too. I just wanted to listen it again - just coz remembered how good it is - and now I,m even more keen on it. But I was not sure wether I added it to my faves then.
I even remembered of that too that You suggested to jump over the intro if sy has no time enough.
@ConcordantMind I,ve written already yesterday, but maybe vanished the text. So I remembered well of this great March and today I controlled thoroughly my faves and found among them:) So I added it twice, got once. (But YT did not inform yesterday that I,ve already added.)
This work is on the same level with Mansell or Zimmer. In the end the snare mixing with strings - I guess only - sounds like a threatening choir. Genial!
@GBWagner1 its there i just hadnt clicked approve yet. I approve all comments except for this one troll problem:) (My Fault for arguing on YouTube lol) The mood and feeling reminds me of those composers quality but my arrangements in terms of key changes etc is nothing compared to those guys. I'm working on it lol. Thanks for the comments!
By the way, this song was written like ten years ago (the beginning and the ending) It was waiting to be written forever :)
I'm planning on having this beautiful instrumental music as my background music for a powerpoint slideshow I'm currenlty working on. Can someone please let me know exactly how I can do that ! Thank you in advance.
@specs132 You can use it if you want just give me credit and send me a link to watch it when its done. In my younger days I was hell of a filmmaker myself. :)
I'm almost done with my latest one. I'll try to remember to send it to you. :)
@ConcordantMind You wouldn't happened to have the original recording of these tracks would you? They sound too good for me to just rip it off of YouTube. I want to make sure I can create the best production value I can possible get.
this is freaking brilliant music, man! I'm in theatre, so I'm always looking for show music and pieces for choreography. I foresee lots of program credits....
@luckyjo03 It sure would be nice is someone asked me to make music for them :) No one has yet... Thanks for your comment. I used to work in theater and should get back into it...but I've been saying that for years. I'm better and film and theater than I am at music.

Man what I see in this music is the tyrants of pornography/ objectification of women, divorce, abortion, sexual perversion, and misogyny being taken down by an Army of righteous warriors. Great work brotha! Really inspiring! Imma start writing a story to this music. You have any other songs like this, having to do with war and so forth you recommend me looking at?
@tommymanay Well I certainly don't share your views about the tyrants of our world (with the exception of misogyny I suppose), but I am glad I inspire you and that you enjoyed it.
"Through the Blackhole, into the Multiverse" is probably my best piece and the most likely to fit the mood you are enjoying :) Peace.
@wickedflame96 Sorry for the delay, but my songs will be on my blog for a while for free. (not yet but soon) But when I put them on Itunes only one will be free after that. I'll let you know when I post them.
Your one of the best amateur composers on here mate, and I listen to a lot. This is my favorite one of yours I have listened to so far. So I say this with that in mind. If you upped the pacing a bit, and this was 4 or 5 minutes I think you'd do even better. If that were possible ;).
@paareth By the way I do have a going list of accumulated things I will probabaly eventually do 2 this one. It was my first after all. I don't want to point them out, but I shall also play with the pacing for commemorative anniversary edition or something lol. I was worried about the strings being too fast at 4:39 at the time. It already sounds like superman is playing the violin, but I'll play around with it lol. Things sounding as real is possible is very important to me, if feasible :)
Do you mind if I use some of your songs for my machinima and also could you possibly make me a song just for my trailer. If you will write me a song I'll PM you with a private video of the trailer so that you could compose the piece.
P.S. Haven't recorded anything yet but will get the trailer sorted ASAP.

I retain all rights to the music in the event that you make it big at which point my people will call your people (lol.) And thanks 4:02 onward is my favorite part as well.
@ConcordantMind Just to let you know I will be uploading the video under a different account but not for a while anyway. I will also pm you with the vid attached when it is done.
I LOVE IT MAN! There are 100s of producers on youtube but only a handful of them where I like their music enough to check daily/often. Now your one of them!
@AzBeats88 Thanks man! This one is still kinda my favorite because of the ending. Though my new one is in contention. I try to make a video at least every few weeks to keep the quality level up. As I think of ways to utilize my other talents they will be showing up here as well. I really liked your comment thank you! Right now I"m trying to think of some breaking some new ground. The Inception soundtrack has really got me thinking of ways to enhance my style. We'll see.
I loved this, the build up was cool, well written .. only, there was no climax :/ Well in my opinion. It was very successful as a massive build up but I was waiting for the big climatic riff.. however it did not come. This is not a bad thing, I dunno. Haha Just not what I expected. That could also be a good thing.
@ConcordantMind didnt mean any offence. Just saying my opinion, the 'climax' to me seems more of a awesomely epic build up. It is totally up to what a person calls a climax. Your climax is my endurance :/ Like I said, it is totally beautiful and very very easy to listen to (consumer friendly/Hans Zimmerish, you know). Just seems like a long lively wick with no explosion. Im just saying it wasnt what 'I' expected. Please dont take offence, I am one person. I still enjoyed it very much.
@Zavaroe man relax I never take offense! I was kinda being playful. I dont get angry at comments! That would be pointless. Just throw LOL at the of that comment! I was just kinda shocked because this is the only song I have that actually HAS a climax. By the way. The idea was like build up build up fighting fighting fighting duel DUEL DUEL and then FATAL BLOW TO THE ENEMY. Hence the sudden silence. I hate text communication, makes me come off wrong. NOT OFFENDED AT ALL MAN!
@ConcordantMind Haha I get it now! The climax is the relief and release.. which was created by the silence at the end! XD oh im so stupid haha I gotta think outside the box a little more :P But yes, I love your build up, especially the violin pattern that kinda commences the 'battle'. I can feel that something is about to start, like, the previous part was the heroe/heroes failing, then they regain strength. (That's my interpretation anyway) It is a hopeful piece. Hopeful but strong. X)
@Zavaroe This is whole thing is written to the movie in your head. There are no rules. I was just explaining my images for the climax. Of course in an actual film there'd be more, but to me it would be another track. The build up is whatever you want it to be. For me, it was what you see in the description. A persecuted people rising up. One of many titles for this was "March in Defiance of Tyranny" The people have had enough, and yes suffer losses. But imagine whatever you want! :)
@Zavaroe Oh for another (far better!) example of build up and sudden drop off listen to "Betrayal and Desolation" by James Horner from the braveheart sound track. The second half. In the film it's when he tries to chase down the king single-handedly after losing the battle after being betrayed by people bought off by the king. That build up is INTENSE and suddenly drops off. I will never make music that well! Best soundtrack ever! :)
@GBWagner1 hahaha thanks! I love the build up but I put that there because I ran an ad for this one a few months ago promising "most epic song ever or something" so I wanted people to know the whole song wasnt slow. Given that its my most popular video I just decided to leave it there. This is my best work. BUt my new one is starting to rivaling it. I wont know til I hit the ending, but it is more suspenseful and less like a march, and its is intense as all get out. It should be up soon!
@troopercarlson Look MAN I swore off "dude", would you rather you call me you that? lol. FINE:
Gracious thanks and good cheer Milady! My finest minstrels shall attend your court henceforth. If that be thy wish of course, Your Grace. lmao. Wow I am quite chivalrous. Who knew? Must be all that epic music I keep making....literally at this moment actually!
@ConcordantMind lol i now i was confused lol you must of been tired when you wrote it or something but it was better then me saying that the marshmellows arent comming to the super training camp on another video lol i was totally tired!!!
@azzafrrr I honestly don't know if I can do a modern military tune. I'd have to put my own spin on it. Maybe something with those types of motifs perhaps. I don't see myself as capable writing a straight up military march but I"ll think about it.
@ConcordantMind yeah i didnt explain that very well... by millitary tune im talking like things used on transformers or black hawk down... or look up SOCOM 3 soundtrack... that kind of stuff..
This is a quite amazing piece you've written, i write music as well, but i would like to say one thing: i feel as if a-lot of dynamics are missing, i feel you could add a-lot of more dramatic effects with some well placed crescendos and decrescendos.but other then that, i have to agree with second2151, and wayniac917, its truly excellent.
I like it alot but agree with second2151, your cymbols need to crash harder. 1:37 - 2:34 is done excellent. the cymbols at 3:52 - 4:03 to me would sound better if they were a little more crisp. really liked the way it winds down from 5:36 - 5:45 . overall an excellent piece
@ConcordantMind Well you friended me so here's your input: EXCELLENT. I love it. Excellently done, especially for FL. But as a fellow composer I know criticism is better than compliments so: 0:27 Your Cello hits a different key than the violin , just once. 0:53-onward: Make those splash cymbals HARDER. Big sound! Good cymbal timing though, consider some doubles. 1:35 End this bar by taking out the drumline, and fading everything but the bass lead. I'll get to the last 3 minutes later.

Great music. How did you make this?
Also if your willing too... (just for something different) try more of a modern millitary tune...
azzafrrr 1 year ago
@azzafrrr I honestly don't know if I can do a modern military tune. I'd have to put my own spin on it. Maybe something with those types of motifs perhaps. I don't see myself as capable writing a straight up military march but I"ll think about it.
ConcordantMind 1 year ago
@ConcordantMind yeah i didnt explain that very well... by millitary tune im talking like things used on transformers or black hawk down... or look up SOCOM 3 soundtrack... that kind of stuff..

@azzafrrr Ah, FAR more likely! :)
