Could you say a bit perhaps about when to use the sequencer, versus when to use the node compositor? I have (vague :) impression much of the same could be achieved using nodes...
@danbri: Some things can be done in both. I think of the Sequencer more like a Video Editor, while the Node Compositor is more for Effects. The Sequencer can do some effects, but the compositor can do a lot more when it comes to image manipulation.
Man there's a way to do that cromachi effect much more easy, first select the Scene, After Select the video so, press space bar and select Alpha Under. That's it! :)
Also you can use the key option on the render buttons of your "title" scene.
