I hate any kind of label. I don't even call myself a witch, I'm a human being, and as humans we are all spiritual creatures in one way or another. The voldemort reference nearly made me die with laughter. I agree that those "dark witches"/cursing-you-like-crazy types are all ego and attention seeking. It's sad really, because I'm sure a lot of them are just lost and don't know where to go on their path.
I think darkness, in the right light (pun intended!) can and is used in a positive way. I mean, religion in general is used as a positivity booster, and if one can use darkness to boost positivity, they're welcome to. But the whole "Dark witch" thing...um...yeah...
Some people are egotistical and wouldn't know what magick was if you hit them in the heads with it. I agree with you that magick is about Nature and connecting with the Earth. Some people have been watching way too much Harry Potter and need to grow up. Wicca isn't about being "dark" it's about finding balance within yourself and nature. I believe in balance, no one person can be "dark" or practice "just black magick," and also noone can be totally good, though we may try.

Im a fluffy bunny too...I have met some dark vampire pagans that are not nice to me i felt intimidated at times when i joined a group they laughed at me at times and they did'nt let me join in rituals they didn't tell me when they were working on things dealing with magic..they said i was a fluffy bunny and was way to nice...

Personally, when i think "dark," i think of working more with what people perceive as "dark." Like how you have the "dark" Goddesses, & they're typically those who deal with death & war. Which doesn't mean you say, "Oh, i'm gonna get Morrigan to CURSE you & KILL you"- because that is a sign of major immaturity, & who, mortal or deity, is going to listen to you- for me, it's more to acknowledge all aspects

Nice to hear your opinion on the subject. :) Just as a balance between darkness and light is good, so is a balance between fluffy and serious. I really enjoy the light-hearted "witchy" videos just as much as the more in-depth ones. I really have a deep respect for people who don't need to appear serious, emotionally deep or highly intellectual all the time and can just laugh at themselves and just have fun doing whatever it is they enjoy. There is a lot to learn from that I think. :)
