  • It looks good, plus the 2+2 model has back seats. The perfect dream car.

  • Would love to hear their opinion on on a Lexus SC300 (Toyota Soarer) compared to a 300zx and the GT 2.5 VS the V8 versions!!! Shouldn't be too hard to acquire.

  • Erectile Dysfunction driver?

  • gONNA BUY ONE TODAY!! ✌.ʕʘ‿ʘʔ.

  • @Taxymen my everyday drive for 6 months now. <3 the smiles it gives you, the looks it gets you, man, it's like nothing else. i never want to drive another car.

  • 300ZX = Sexy

  • "You're gonna want to go for a drive, just because you can!"

True story. Z32's possess something that most other cars don't, and you can't really explain it.

  • @portucito7 bout 12 secs high 12s

  • i had a white 91 300zx twin turbo funnest car to drive ive ever owned

  • 300z tt(90) and 240sx(s14kouki) they are beautiful cars i love them

  • rather get a 240sx but i got z love

  • @sainifabulous What!?! You're crazy. 90 240 msrp of 14k. 90 300 msrp of 35k. There is no comparison in performance, luxury or aesthetics.

  • @TeeTurboZ 240sx are lighter and i don't know why the msrp matters, there around the same price on cl. everybody has there taste

  • the only thing i want in one of these is awd for winter

  • I watched this video and I ran out and got one.....wooohooooo!!!!350z and 370z bite my dust!!!

  • I got a 300zx twin turbo... does anybody know how fast on 1/4 mile....?... stock....

  • Thank you guys. Looking for a nice, older AWD/RWD car with nice power from a stock engine, and potential to become a beast. This is right up there with an E30/36...

  • 300zx looks like a supra from the front

  • @xxxEmmureOwnxxx no it doesnt

  • ... and T-tops.

  • this video sums up the 300zx very well this is my favorite sports car of all time it may not be the fastest but its beautiful fast enough and handles well i love this car from top to bottom in and out its an amazing car

  • @adamotocross48 I thought about selling a few years ago, but as with most of these cars, it'll never be worth to anyone else what it's worth to me. So I just drive it occasionally to keep the juices flowing, maintain a rigorous maintenance schedule, and will some day just pass it on to my son. The problem with Z's has always been that everyone thinks THEIR Z is worth a lot, but when it comes to buying somebody else's...not so much :)

  • @PookiePrancer i would take care of any 300zx any nissan to the best of my abilities i have an 06 sentra and i wax it a minimum of once a month was it at least once a week and make sure she shines like the stars because i want it to look as good as it runs and since it runds flawlessly the outside should reflect such a fact

  • I haven't even turned 15k miles in my 96TT! I've loved the Z32 since it was introduced. Once the babies started coming though, I haven't been able to drive it so much :( At least it still smells new.

  • @PookiePrancer looking to sell?

  • @adamotocross48 oops. Didn't know I could reply by highlighting your comment. I replied as a new post.

  • What kind of exhaust does it have?

  • I love this car !!

  • I want a 300zx as a second car...

  • Every time I watch this, I want a 300ZX even more. Time to buck up some cash T_T

  • 300hp is still alot today.

  • My friend traded his 1991 z32(5 speed) for a rx-7 1989(automatic). His reason for the trade was that the z32 clutch was going bad. Now thats a stupid mistake. dont yall think? Now the rx-7 transmission is slippin. hes trying to get rid of it but its automatic and transmission going bad. WHAT A NOOB !

  • Stupid

  • "It's like a dropkick in the ass"...

Couldn't have said it any better.

  • Great review to one of the best looking cars ever

  • I can't believe my ZXTT is almost 22 years old, Thats like 60 in car years and shes still sexy and bad ass.

  • @btone12 has it given you problems? how expensive for tune ups etc?? I'm looking to buy one..

  • Is that 300zx using the Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT's headlights???

  • @405Outlaw Actually the Diablo uses 300zx headlights. The carbon fiber strip above the headlight covers the Nissan stamp on the glass.

  • @405Outlaw Other way around, actually.

  • Is it a manual?

  • I love the Z32s so much. But I can't afford one. So I got a Z31 to hold me over lol. These cars ARE beautiful though.

  • why do i like this car so much?

  • Great video, you have totally sold me on getting one, Ill be re-posting in February when i get my super sweet 300zx TT.

  • what kind of mpgs do these cars get anyways? :P odd question to ask whenever else is talking about who is faster blah blah blah

  • just bought one exactly like this!!! red interior though. =D i love it!!!

  • @l8er check out my 300zx exhaust sound!

  • i love this car so much, and I'm planning to get the 2+2 tt. I don't know if I will be able to use it for daily driving cause people say this car gives a bit of problems when I was reading around the forums. But definitely want it.

  • @FMAZON3 you will have to go to europe for that. 2+2 tt weren't made in the U.S. I of course am assuming you are in the U.S. the only way for a 2+2 tt is dropping in some turbos or a swap

  • I would take this TT Z over any, brand new even, 350Z or 370Z. Nissan needs to get back to making cars in the vein of the 300ZX again.

  • ive got an 88 300zx and itll eat up the road like nobody's business haha

  • I have a black 1990 300zx Twin Turbo and I LOVE that car!!! That thing will pin you back in your seat as I've done to many people lol! This is one of the BEST sports cars! I like it better than the 350z that my cousin has. The 370z is pretty sweet but the 300zx is just a classic beauty! Take it for a spin on a morning around 30 to 35 degrees and it will try to get away from you!

  • Zs forever

  • @891trigfoot im sorry, but have you seen any 300zx vs supra vids on here? seemed like toyota needed something better to me. the 300 beat the supra just about every single time. and the 80's 300 turbos were horriblely made. they overheated crazy fast, and they weren't all that much faster than the nonturbos.

  • supras always destroyed z cars hands down.my first car was 84 supra, my friend had 84 300zx, or whatever it was called that year, maybe 280 zx, anyway i beat him everytime and his car was turbocharged.his broke 2years later, back in 2000, i still have mine, it runs, needs so work, but still has lots of power.

  • aight i got a 300zx TT but it has stock wheels, i wanted to get 2 different sizes, smaller in the front and bigger in the back. but i heard that it could mess up ur tires more but can it also reduce the handeling of ur car?

  • Nice!

    I own 2 of the 300zx cars.

  • I've been wanting a z for 11, if not more, years. After watching this video probably 100 times, today I bought a 1992 slicktop with 113k miles, and I love it.

  • Find a 90s dodge Stealth Twin Turbo or a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 if you want a fun car to drive.

  • Hell, my 1990 Motor Trend magazine stopped the twin turbo from 60 to 0 in 111 feet in their first road test, which at the time was the hardest stopping car Motor Trend ever tested. Interesting it's getting knocked for its brakes. I wonder if it's just because they're 17 year old brakes?

  • the 1989-2000 (1990-1996 in U.S) Nissan 300ZX/ Nissan Z32 was assembled in

    Hiratsuka, Kanagawa, Japan

  • How do the t-tops on the 300zx's work i've always wondered? Can you just take them out or do they slide?

  • @DropDownLowrider

They don't slide. You pull a handle from the inside and swivel it straight up. Then pull it to the side a little and the pins that hold it up come out of that center brace part. I've taken mine off while sitting at stop lights and gotten funny looks before.

  • What's the reliability on a 300zx tt rhd? Any common issues with them? Would be such a great upgrade from my current econoshitbox

  • Is there a difference in Redline for the TT and N/A models? I see a 6500rpm Redline at 1:47 and I've only seen 7000rpm on the others I've seen. Were there different Redlines for different years? Or was it just the TT and N/A difference?

  • @whoohaaXL All models have the 7k redline, it's just the 1990 models that show a dashed strip before redline. However, automatic 300zx's are programmed to shift at 6500rpm.

  • @whoohaaXL REDLINE 7000 ON BOTH TYPES

  • @jhood7891 No, the Automatics have a 6500 rpm redline. I don't see how you can say that they are all 7000 if there is a blatent 6500 redline at 1:47.

  • @whoohaaXL redline starts at 6500 but the rev limiter is set at 7000

  • @whoohaaXL if u look closely u can c that the red line is broken up at 6500 but max rpm is 7000 ..i had one of these cars and u can rev to 7000

  • if i could choose any car in the world to live with. this would be the car!

  • does anyone know which model of the 300zx has the t-top and the back seat.

  • @XJordanx89 1989-1998 2+2 tbar model

  • 300zx forever

  • 376 people can't afford to buy a 370z - having said that, neither can I =(

The 300zx is super cheap to buy now, but is notorious for engine problems unless modified. It is mega heavy with a long wheelbase and the rear 3 quarter window makes the side view look fugly, especiall for the 2+2 version.

  • @PureInsanityOfficial

I wouldn't say that. I just dumped the price of my buddy's lightly used 370Z into a new Golf TDI. I still have a 300ZX and I choose to because when I finish fixing it up, it will be faster and better looking than a 370. Its lighter than the 350 and 370 and unlike both of them, it doesn't look like something a girl's car or a girl's car that they tried to mask with fangs in the fascia.

  • I will be getting one soon. Debating whether I should get the NA version or the TT?

  • 300zx TT vs NA, which should I get keeping in mind it'll be a Daily Driver?

  • I'm thinking about buying a 300zx 1984 with 156,000 original miles, very nice interior and exterior, its turboed, worth $2,500?

  • @TheDontcareee for 2,500 i think (if car is in good shape especially the engine) thats very good value for money (maybe to good)

  • @TheDontcareee does it come with RWC? if not definately get it checked out cause i got one inspected which had a low price on it and it ended up needing 3 grand to get it road worthy. Oil leaks in tappet cover/power steering rack. Still bought it though...

  • @Infiniteuphorix bro give me some advise .i wanna buy it 1st time ..i love this car...does it always have engine problem..shall i go for turbo or non turbo?

  • @imranbacha im no expert on them mate but a few of them get oil leaks here n their i hear which is what im fixing up on mine atm. i wouldnt buy one with anything over 150000k or 93000miles on it though. Mine had 124000k when i bought it which i hope is genuine lol I guess you could buy one and put a turbo on it but i dont really see alot of point in that unless the motors in excellent condition... Up to you always a risk though. Im only wanting mine to last a few years til i graduate lol

  • @Infiniteuphorix thanx mate,is yours turbo or non turbo...? how long you have had this car for..? how is it apart from engine like mechanically...? does it bother you all the time..? can i ask where you from mate..?

  • @imranbacha mines the twin turbo version and ive had it for a month but i cant drive it cause im waiting on a seat belt retractor from japan to make it road worthy. They suppose to be fairly strong mototrs though so im hoping i wont have too many more problems after i fix the leaks. Im from QLD australia.

  • @Infiniteuphorix coool, good luck with that..and good to know that me from melbourne :) cheers mate...i am in dilemma between this and ford probe..both attracts me ..so making up my mind...

  • @imranbacha i havnt even heard of the ford probe lol just googled it they dont look to bad, not much power though eh? How much are you spending?

  • yeah this 300 has so much more room than all the 3's

  • how is the maintenance upkeep on this car?

  • Help anybody! I want this car so bad, it would be my first car. I'm hesitant to buy it because I heard the electrical system sucks and it requires A LOT of maintence. Is this true? (I know it's not a good idea to get a fast car as a first car but I'm not a reckless driver)

  • I always loved Zs

  • I have that exhaust on my N/A Z32 ;) Greddy ftw !

  • top gear is better...

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IT !!!!!!!!!! ONE DAY ...ONE DAY... IT WILL BE MINE

  • i have a 91 stealth rt and i want to upgrade to a tt car i was thinking about getting a stealth tt but now i want one of these fo show lol humm what is the base hours power looking it up now

  • Damn, I'm really tryna get a 300zx right now as a first car. I've watched this video probably 15 times because I really want to get one. What kind of differences are there in performance and mpg on the NA vs the TT, since you've driven the both of them I was hoping you guys would know. Thanks for doing these reviews, I love em!

  • Ya i have a 93 300zx non turbo, bought it for 5 grand with only 75,000 miles which is not bad at all. I have it for 10 months now and i love it.

  • @eLks989 dude i found a 90 300zx on craigslist for $1900 ^.^ lol i found a great deal.. now i need the fixing .

  • @munozk93 nice bro, great car, i just put on 18 inch black Zinic rims and got new Pirelli tires. Makes my car look 100x sicker.

  • wish they still made the 240sx

  • @djkasdjkasdjdjdj why? the car is shit

  • just bought a 300zx TT!

  • @DesMortesMetal

Me too!! I am super serial!!

And it only had 31K on it!!

  • 1991 but damn that car still looks like sex! and sexier than some sports cars of today.

  • Nice job guys, I enjoy all your 'down-to-earth' reviews. Couple questions: I've read several posts relating to injectors being a potential issue...how often do these normally act up? If it's only like every 5 years or so that's one thing, if it's every year or 2 then that's another. Also I've always been hesitant about turbos since I've heard friends talk about dumping large amounts to fix them (not in these cars, just in general) so was wondering if that fear is well founded. thx

  • you should check out z1 motorsports , they did a 1000whp z32. there's a video on here somewhere

  • I love this car. I'm a street racer.

  • Awesome car! Absolutely love it!

  • i Have a 300zx 2+2 and a 300zx TT Coupe. Although the Twin Turbo has more power i feel that the 2+2 has better handling.

  • Good review, makes me feel great for owning one :D And theirs is the 1990 model without the badge on the nose, just like mine, and in the same color!

    Mine's a 2+2 Na though :P

  • Google is better for information than youtube

  • whats the average mpg for the 300zx?

  • Congrats, you started with the downfall of the Z car.

Every Z car predecessing those 3 was better.

  • Comment removed

  • @nameless212. LOL...you are right. This car is not for you. Go get yourself a nice Volvo and leave the bad ass sports cars to those that don't give a shit about crash test ratings!

  • @nameless212 Actually, I hit a van going about 25 mph and smashed the rear of their car with no perceptible damage to my 300zx. And more importantly, I wasn't hurt at all. I have felt very safe in this car ever since.

  • ok which should i get im looking for usability and just fun but i want an automatic

which is better the 350z or 370z i want the one thats best to USE and drive and also fast and nice looking which do you recommend

i currently drive a 06 dodge charger rt and well im looking for somthing differant and am willing to sacrifice some space but not too much

  • @kidicey If you want an automatic car buy a V8, like a mustang. A Z-car will never give you as much of a reward when it is automatic, it is very compromised. You need more torque to get any fun at all out of an automatic. Tuning an automatic gear box to shift as good as a manual (with a good driver) would cost you a ton of money and you would end up with a car that is uncomfortable as a daily driver. Why do you think modern sport cars have different gear box settings?

  • 300zxTT hands down,, Look's fantastic!!! factory got it right,,,right out of the gate, Love mine 1990 300zx TT

  • 9 dislikes are from the miata owners.

    XD

you can never go wrong with a FAIRLADY! my 92 NA slicktop is a dream. had some problems but ran over it like no ones business ^_^

  • i cant wait to get my ZX. my bro has a 94 supra tt, its going to be awsome waking up and seeing both of them in the driveway lol

  • ya know, i own a 08 350z, and the more i see the Zx's the more im getting convinced to make my 3rd car a Zx.. now i saw this video, and guess what my mind is saying.. ( That's it! im gett'n me a ZX!!!) the car just looks soo damn good to be a classic, and the best part is it's affordable lol! :D

  • I love the fact that it looks a lot like a Bugatti EB110.

I was gonna buy one a few months ago but repair costs are sooooooo damn high.

  • I have a NA 1993 Nissan 300zx and love every inch of it :) i have a video of it.. feel free to comment and give some advice for the Z.

  • I think zx's are better than 350's or 370's cause they look more sporty.

  • my god that unmolested pearl white(?) 300zx is oh so gorgeous & with it's stock chrome wheels it makes it a plus! I think 300zx's true beauty lies in it's stock trim IMO.

  • i love this video. I own a 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo in pearl white like the one in the video. this car is like a child to me, like a second skin. and i will never sell this car.

  • This car is only a 2 seat car right?

    answer me back ASAP thanks

  • @SammeThao no 4

  • How is it a everyday driver with only 33,000 miles after 20 years??

  • hey, i want to know how big is a 2+2 compared to the regular coupe zx?

  • @831caliking - The rear seats are VERY tight. The 2+2 is around a foot longer than the coupe, you can easily tell the difference from the outside, and if you need confirmation look at the fuel-door. The coupe has the fuel door in front of the rear wheel, the 2+2 has it behind the wheel.

  • @EverydayDriver yeah i know the fuel part. just 1 foot longer ok thxz!

  • @EverydayDriver I disagree, I think from looking at them you can't always tell the difference. You can if you look well, but it's not something you can always instantly pick.

  • i had3 300zx too bad fuel injectors ar always a problem :(

  • @mikixP I had a Z for a long time, wonderful car and very reliable. My only critique is that the engine is very hard to work on due to lack of space, and therefore labor is expensive.

  • damn i miss mine now :(

  • My daily driver is my 300ZX GS Coupe with an anything but stock VG30 and i love her to death these really are thee greatest import sports car to ever come out of japan...

  • im thinking about buying a car like this could you guys give me some more info on this car? what to expect and what not because this is going to be my first car and im buying online used hopefully for 3000 im a student going to college

  • I had 2 of these.

And I want another one SOoOOOOOoooooOOOoN !!!!!

  • ill take the 300zx, thanks.

  • I miss mine! It was a fun sporty car to drive,, but I had to sell it, because I had to go back to South Africa :(

  • fouayang1 Yes, I think I am lucky to have the Z-32TT and the MKIV! I can't afford

Ferraris and the like but I do go out and drive a new performance car once and a

while. Every time I do I realize very few cars can equal the two I have. I also think

Japanese cars in general have the best engineering, quality, fit and finish and

reliability. My ego doesn't need a three pointed star on the hood! I LOVE MY Z-32!

  • you guys are big time fags

  • i had a 94 in 2000 and me as a stupid ass i trade it for a 2001 honda civc in 2001. stupid mistake. from a jet to a bike..

  • I bought a super nice 6sp MKIV Supra, planned on selling my pearl white 91 300ZX

TT. Can't do it, as Todd said "I LOVE THIS CAR". Besides marginal brakes and

difficult to work on early ones can have injector issues (expensive). 400 (smogable)

hp came easily. Purchased in 2000 with 40K, has 80K now. Puts a smile on my face

every time I drive it. Gorgeous, spacious, fast, 23-28 mpg (highway). LOVE IT!

350 or 370? No thanks. Stuck with two twin turbos but would like to add Mazda

    FD to stable.

  • @imagesbls you are a lucky man to own both of those cars.

  • @imagesbls i would like to buy your nissan 300zx tt if you would like to sell i live in los angeles area

  • And I enjoy these reviews immensely! The setup of two guys with oft-differing observations of the car being critiqued can be highly useful for someone considering the car being reviewed.

I have watched possibly every review currently offered by EverydayDriver here and I offer my highest, most positive feedback and admiration for this type of automobile review!

Great job, guys! Thanks for all you do!

    But, I sure hope your 300ZX goes to a loving home....... : ) : (

  • @jesusisbetter - Todd found selling his 300zx to be a very bittersweet moment. He still loves the 300zx, and wishes to have one in his dream garage at some point in the future. But in the mean time, there are lots of great cars out there and he wanted to own something else for a while.

Thanks for watching, and we really appreciate your kind words.

  • @EverydayDriver where do you get that car? i want one

  • @EverydayDriver why did todd sell his car? and how much did he sell it for? and where could i get a decent one for a good price?

  • Of course, all of my words directed at Todd are in jest and in fun. Just poking someone for departing with such a wonderful car after giving it such praise in a You Tube review.

I have met very few people who would depart with their 300ZX for almost any reason. Mostly they sell because of financial issues, the car is old and will cost a bit more to maintain, or a lot less if you get your hands dirty & into your 300 yourself. That's the FUN part for many of us. It's our hobby, and passion!

  • Todd is SELLING HIS 300?!?!

I am shattered! I have lost all respect and admiration for Daily Driver!

One of the things that attracted me to you guys was the 300 owned and revieved so positively by Todd. Now he's selling it?! Was all the praise you gave the car true? The only redeeming value to this decision would be if you were getting something older, a 280ZX, 240, 60, 80, WHY are you doing this?!

Wow! A Z-car enthusiast reacts with intensity! All in jest! Well, maybe not ALL.. : )

  • I think 300zx is better just with the fact that they actually came with turbo or twin turbo.

I really don't get why 350z never came without the turbo...

  • Damn, this car is timeless...I"m looking at it today and it still doesn't look dated....damn...the design is still awesome!

  • Tougggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh yeah. keep up the touge.

  • Just bought a 91 300zx TT, 1/20/11, and it's amazing. 400hp with very minimal mods. The most impressive thing about the car would have to be the Super HICAS Steering, it's just incredible. When i through it into a corner I have to correct myself because I always give the wheel too hard of a turn and I always catch myself having to turn back the other way in a turn because the HICAS is just amazing. You can be driving on a highway and turn the wheel side to side very fast, and still go straight

  • @yungrey55 if you dont mind me asking, do you live in the us? and how did you acquire the car? im thinking of buying a z31 or z32 and i want to make a good purchase, not get a shitty one from craigslist. thanks a lot.

  • @HDMFly Yes I do live in the US. I found my car on Autotrader for $9,000. Do not use craigslist. I found a few 300zxs on there and when I went to look at them they were all in bad condition. Make sure to get a lot of information on one you find, and A LOT of pictures. Good to find one under 100,000 miles. Best years are 92-95. 91 Had some problems and 96 had no variable valve timing. Stock alternators usually go bad around 100k miles and make sure if it has had its 60k mile maintenance.

  • @yungrey55 thanks a lot man. these are truly awesome cars and i would just love to have one. i hope you have fun with your z; thanks again.
