As much poking and prodding and attempts by Cousins to reduce abstractions to the linear and practical,Lynch remains serene and confident. All Cousins' attempts at condescension toward Lynch totally backfire on him.Considering Lynch doesn't grant many interviews,I get the feeling Lynch chose Cousins on the basis that he was a dickweed--just to challenge himself a bit--I don't know.Anyhow,Lynch rules.
I disagree. I think the interviewer is getting answers to questions that lynch wouldent normally touch. Also he's asking relevant questions. I enjoyed this interview.
The interviewer made feel a bit tense, yet he also seemed intimidated or nervous, does a great job in getting to know Lycnh on several levels. Great job both ways
I really enjoyed this interview and others must have at least somewhat since they made it to this last bit. I admit i had reservations at the beginning but it proved to be illuminating, informative and entertaining. Thanks for uploading frentz!
Every man searching for dating tips on how to meat interesting women should learn from Lynch, he is so fascinating and careful about what he says and how to say it - he must be very attractive to intelligent /dreaming women.
that clip of the ending of the elephantman made me ball just now. it made me remember why i don't watch that movie very often. so fucking sad... but beautiful.

Your posters.
Your wallpapers.
Homework, strewn about.
You, yourself. All vibrations.
^_^ Thank me.
Unless you can interpret better.
Also, this interviewer is making David frustrated by asking him age questions, making him feel old. What a jerk! Mr. Lynch is still young, and looks good. I mean... WTF? That mutherfucking fuck fuck fuckity fuck me!!!!
I've seen Mark Cousins a couple of times on the BBC. Once with Martin Scorsese and Jonathan Demme... I think he's a cool guy. To me, he just seems very interested and passionate. And he has good questions, too. Not like a lot of other interviews I've seen (in general) which are really stock and boring.
i totally agree. he rubbed me the wrong way when i first started watching this series of videos but by the end i realized that he's just really interested and involved. i don't think he meant to be condescending.
the interviewer is a wee bit of a knob,no imagination, and tries quite unsuccessfully to goad Lynch into some kind of defensive position, all to no avail.Lynch is as cool as a cucumber, and Cousins seems to grow progressively more restless, not even really looking Lynch in the eye.
he seems to mention and stress the concept of tapping into the collective conscious of creativity in almost every interview i've seen. especially the transcendental meditation ones. i really think he is on to something with that point too. brilliant artist. kudos on uploading a good interview.
It's nice to see him relax after the 1st part and finally get away from the recited things to some new ones. The stuff with how Bob came about is especially fascinating. I wonder if Lynch has any theories on how that's possible.
calling david lynch a misogynist . that's a NO!

He sort of disses Lynch at the end.
Interviewer: "I think he meant your films make people dream but there's no surface message there."
Lynch: "That's okay then."

Lynch is incredibly patient with this journalist, who seems like a decent guy, but who just doesn't get it.

The interviewer acts like he talks to a very attractive woman, trying to show interest while concentrating on what to say next.
I would say this interview is a success.
